Absolutely a scam company! Troy's Towing impounded my luxury car while I was inside hair salon. My car was parked in a lot that supposedly only belongs to the one store.. although signs are not posted. I left salon only to find my car gone... taken away by Troys Towing. I called Troys and they stated the towing yard was closing in 30 minutes and would not be back until the following day. I had to take time off work, Uber to Troys and pay $450 to get my car back!! Another kicker... Troy's used industrial Paint on the side window of my car stating location, make, model of my car... again in PAINT. I had to have the paint removed from my window because it would not wash off. I was Absolutely scammed by Troy's and the store that contacted them to tow my car! I I could give a -5 I would! This is the worst experience ever. We had our car stolen, turned in in Michigan and had to recover it from Troy's towing. We drive 3.5 hours only to get lies and attitude. Because I was at work I asked my husband to call and talk to them, they put in their notes that it was expressed to us that we would need it towed since it was a stolen vehicle, but it wasn't. My husband asked if it was an option but we decided to just pick it up. Get here and they jump right to nope you can't have it since you don't have a tow company. I call a tow company. Guess what? They won't even come to Troy's Towing because of the run around they give and their attitude. So what's the solution? Lol we have to pay Troy's towing to tow our vehicular out, even though it's drivable and we spoke with the police department that impounded it and they said there's no reason for it to be towed. Well, my situation and or experience with this company was not good experience at all. First of all I wanted to get rid a vehicle just sitting in my yard. The person was given the Lincoln for free,I asked for no money or anything. The vehicle was signed over, but I guess the person took their time about getting the title transferred. All I know is I got a letter and I contacted Lacey Hatcher, who I signed the vehicle over to . Lacey said he had just got out of the hospital and asked would I pick him up.Lacey informed me that he got a title for the vehicle, which I did see. When I got to Troys Towing, we both went in and I tried to explain to the situation, but I was asked to leave, because they stated that the vehicle was no longer in my name so I was no longer responsible and would only talk to Lacey. Bottom line is this the vehicle was in Lacey's yard and he called the police because he didn't know initially who took the vehicle. We found out that it was on the side of his house and because it had no plates even though it was on the lot I assume is his. Later, I get a letter stating that I owe Towing fees for a vehicle that you guys said I was no longer responsible for. Then you told me that I should've come down before now and taking care of this matter when I called. Believe the date we came was May 8 or 9 2024I.It is now September 23, 2024.Remember you guys made me leave out and would only talk to Lacey. He was never able to obtain the vehicle because you guys sent us somewhere else and then they sent us somewhere else, Lacey had no insurance on the vehicle even though he had the title so the storage fees backed up because he got the runaround. Lacey stated that he would come back up to get the vehicle which I guess he never did . I'm going to assume that the storage fees got to high on it and it was an older vehicle,yet this does not make it my responsibility because he didn't or couldn't get the vehicle back after YOU guys said it was no longer my responsibility. YOU guys refused to talk to me when I came there . Bottom line is you told me I was no longer responsible for the vehicle, but you're trying to make me responsible to pay money. You guys told me that the vehicle was not transferred from my name when I called but never stated that when we were there.This is completely unfair and UNJUST ,and I'm asking that you PLEASE take care of this matter immediately. Illegally towed our car in front of this sign (Pic attached). 5/3 bank clearly has a sign which states that towing will be conducted by Circus Towing (which has been out of business since 2017). For another tow company to tow a vehicle out of a lot where there is clearly a sign from another towing company is illegal. Additionally, over the phone Anita (the rep) stated they would charge $300 CASH (please note that for a towing company to only accept cash is illegal due to a recent filing in April 2019). When we got to the company they demanded $345, after taking our keys hostage (said only they could retrieve our insurance papers from the glove compartment). Troy's Towing towed my son's car over 2 weeks ago. In the process, after a $400 towing fee he found that they damaged both of his catalytic converters. Several phone call were made by my son and myself speaking with Tracy leaving messages for her supervisor Mikhail to no avail. A week had passed and Makhail was still too busy to return a common courtesy call to at least show concern. My son and I called again to speak to Vanetta who tried to help as much as she could but was unable to get her boss to call. All she could say was that she referred the complaint and all the of the documents & invoice that were given to her regarding the damage from a licensed mechanic to Makhail and that he said he was discussing it with the owner. I don't usually go out of my way to write bad reviews but in this case after thousands of dollars later where we made several attempts to contact and talk to these people to get nothing not even a callback in return is horrible and should not be ignored nor unnoticed. I would imagine this is not the first car that they have damaged so i'm thinking they have some sort of protocol to follow for situations like this. I am very disappointed with level of disregard & disrespect they have shown for other peoples property. This is not over. They think if they ignore you you will go away. We feel the solution to this problem should have been resolved long before now. Since it seems that our concern is being ignored other measures will have to be taken. Parked as a guest in friends apartment building. Seen the jeep getting towed out and called immediately. The lady that answered the phone was super rude and said it would be $340. They had my jeep for 45 minutes. Went to the yard to pick up my vehicle and the lady was even more rude in person and said it was $350 to get our jeep. We had the insurance proof digitally which is legal in Michigan but she wanted our keys to also get the registration. She would not let us see our vehicle or get our documents out of it until we paid $350. Our jeep was damaged from the 45 minutes they had it. Do not use this company! In my 35 years of life I've dealt with horrendous customer service and I can objectively say this is the worst company I've ever dealt with with the most unprofessional workers ever. We got our car towed and were given the runaround about not having our registration which we were 100 percent sure was in the car. They wouldn't let us search the car for it and brought out a bunch of random documents that didn't include anything useful. We finally got the POLICE involved which I would highly recommend for anyone having issues with these crooks. We got our car back after the police had to tell them they ran our plates and we even had a letter from the Ohio dmv saying we were up to date. We finally get out car back and low and behold our up to date registration is in there. If anyone is down to file a lawsuit against them I have the time and money. Companies like this simply should not exist. And the lady at the counter is one of the worst human beings I've ever had to deal with. There's a glass window to conceal her face because she is an atrocious human being with no redeeming qualities. Never use them. They picked my car up after an accident because the wheel alignment was off l. They took it to storage since the collision shop was closed and told me it was going to be delivered the next day. Next day they claimed the car was impounded and needed to be release by police. After i caught them in a lie they then claimed they couldnt find it. After three days finally released my car to the collision shop. The collision shop told me that this is a scam to get more money out of your insurance. This is a common scamthat they have seen out of tow companies. The worst experience I could have had. The driver of the tow truck was the only exception as he was very nice, friendly, and made me feel in good hands after I was in an accident. When I was dropped off at the tow yard, I waited for almost 20 minutes in the lobby for someone to attend to me, and it wasn't until I looked outside and closed the door behind me that someone heard me. The man who came to talk to me was rude and told me he couldn't help me because they were closed, and almost yelled at me for being inside the building "after hours" at 7:30 pm even though the driver instructed me to go inside to get situated. The next day, trying to get my car towed to my dealership, it took 4 phone calls to finally get someone to release my vehicle. The doesn't seem to be any communication between employees and they're all equally as rude. Finally, and 3 days later, I was given an email to forward my information to and got the car released. Beware... if your vehicle is ever towed to their lot, or impounded by this company, they will go to extreme measures to ensure that you cannot remove it.
