I was leery to hire them based on some of the comments but their service was great and super reasonable cost. Got to my truck ASAP and dropped it off right where requested. My sons jeep was stolen in Detroit last year and recovered in Warren, where it was towed to a local pound. This crew were outright thugs and would not release the vehicle for a million reasons (racking up daily fees). It got to the point I needed a lawyer so I know this side of the business can be shady. Called Mater to get my truck towed out of the snow where it was stuck. He told me 15-20 minutes and was there on time. Very professional and courteous. Called others prior to calling him and they "couldn't get out" due to contracts with the police in the snow. For me right out and towed to the place I asked a few miles away. AAA called them to pull me out of the snow. They arrived and told me they couldn't get in to where my car was parked because two cars were in the way. So the guy just left me there. When one of the cars moved I called AAA back and they were dispatched again. I even called directly. They said my call was cancelled and they never got a second call. When AAA called them a third time, they said they were too busy! Nothing like making a stranded motorist more stranded. One and a half hours and I am still here. read more

After pulling to the side of the road at 8am and submitting a roadside service request through our insurance, we we're still waiting for a tow at 2:30pm! We called Utica Van Dyke Towing and was told they would be there in 30 minutes and we agreed! Sure enough, 30 minutes later they had arrived and towed us safely to our desired location! My mom was unfortunate enough to deal with these characters when they were called through her AAA coverage. Her battery had died in her vehicle. The driver who showed up replace the battery insisting that they could not charge the one in the vehicle. She told him that the battery was only a couple of years old and was under warranty and should be fine. The driver argued and insisted that the battery be replaced. He also mentioned that he had been on the job for a mere six days. She insisted on taking the old battery which she took to the Lexus dealership the next day. They said the battery was 100% good and charged it up just fine. With documentation and she now has to go back to AAA and chase these jokers around to get her $150 back. read more

I DON'T recommend them to anyone!!! I got into an accident and was only a half a mile away from my house and they insisted on taking it to the impound lot and I told me I had to pick it up in 2 more days... I went back and they told me I can't drive it home because it's totaled and now they want to charge me $350 to tow it back to my house. I already have so much to deal with and they are making everything worse. They didn't even let another towing company come and pick my car up for me because all they care about is money$$$. If I could give this place -5 stars I would. When they tow your car, go get your car asap. They are open everyday unlike the like information they give you or can even find on the internet. They will go on a joy ride in your vehicle. It was like the gas was taken out. Then I realized my passenger seat had been moved and adjusted to fit a larger person like they went around on a joy ride in the car. Also had a few things missing items from my car. When they take your vehicle and you get a sheet from them it will say the name of the place is Utica Van Dyke Towing, they run a really sketchy business that says there lot is only open Mondays-Fridays from 9-6. Unfortunately my car got taken on Saturday morning so I went on Monday to get my car and they were like why didn't you come pick it up Saturday, well why did I get a piece of paper that said they are closed. So I got charged an extra $200 for no reason when I could have came on Saturday to pick my car up? The phone number on the sheet doesn't link to anything on Google and they are trying to operate under different names so that they aren't exposed for their crappy business practices. The phone number they have on google is different one they use than they use for there towing division of the company. Do not use this company!!!!!!!!! read more
