In the contract it was specified that all work was to be done according to code. Bottom line; Work was abandoned. Work was not done to code and resulted in an unsafe deck. Simplified Construction was nonresponsive for any remediation. Simplified Construction was taken to the Oregon Contractor's construction board for remediation was was found guilty. Simplified Construction defaulted on the above agreement. Simplified Construction was taken to small claims court and was found guilty. As of this date, Simplified Constructions license is being suspended by the construction board. FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM SIMPLIFIED CONSTRUCTION. Hiring someone from outside of Home Depot would give you better results...

Becksted Built did a terrible job on the remodeling of my basement…read more Chad left so many things unfinished, the walls, the electrical, he left my stairs dangerous and unfinished. He kept saying all along that he was a professional, which I have learned HE IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL!!! Chad used second-hand material to use for the remodel. I paid him for the work and he did not finish it. And after I paid him a lot of money, he came back and asked me for more!! I told him I wouldn't give him any more money, so he broke into my house, took his stuff and I haven't heard from him since. I filed a complaint with the CCB but Chad told them that he was working on my basement as a friend, not as a contractor so I could not collect on his bond to get my basement finished by a real professional. Chad ripped me off. I am a single female who, admittedly, knows nothing about construction and remodeling and Chad took advantage of that. Chad is a con artist, just after money and not having pride in his work.
