    The saying, "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"…read morepretty much sums up my old workout and eating routine; doing the same thing for years and expecting change. My husband had similar frustrations with working out. Luckily, he found Underground and we both enrolled and I'm so happy we did. I cannot say enough positive things. Our trainer (Danny) and coach (Shane) are both awesome. Danny has been fantastic with how positive and patient he is, especially with someone like me who's never even picked up weights in a gym before. He keeps workouts interesting and challenging. Shane helps provide accountability outside of the gym especially with eating; turns out I wasn't eating enough! Both are extremely knowledgeable and happy to pass along their knowledge. As for the gym itself. We signed up for semi-private sessions, but you get a lot of 1-on-1 time and it never really feels crowded. You never have to fight over equipment and everything is constantly wiped down. Also, scheduling sessions is easy and flexible. Honesty, my husband and I really look forward to going to the gym, it's actually fun, like really fun...not a chore. We've both changed physically, but also mentally. This journey has been so positive for both of us. I would highly recommend this gym. If I had the means, (and lol their willingness) I would sign up my family/friends!

    Pic speaks for itself!…read more I was almost disappointed in my first month with Seth because the scale moved a measly 2lbs! But wow what a difference the Styku scan makes! It showed I lost 5" all around! Say what? Then we went up a notch and in a total of 4 months I lost 15lbs and 18" all around! Yes 18". Now my abs are POPPING! I'm also now wearing a size 2 jean--which I've never been in before. His program is a no nonsense, no fad or silly workout routine. It's a comprehensive program for anyone who is serious about weight loss and getting in shape. It's super simple. Seth is amazing to work with. He is very confident and knowledgeable. He can work through any issues with injury, diet, etc. He guides you through the workouts and encourages you along the way. The accountability alone made a huge difference and kept me consistent even when motivation dipped. And if anyone has an excuse, it's me--I have three kids, one with special needs, a job, and real life happening nonstop--yet this program was still realistic and doable. Beyond the physical changes, my confidence is at an all-time high and I finally feel strong, capable, and proud of my body. If you're on the fence, don't be--this program works, and I'd recommend Seth without hesitation.

They are super caring and they train you throughly. The office is very inviting and it's judgement free. I recommend this place as real gym to workout at and not have to fight over equipment! Also, they are very considerate and caring if you had previous injuries and will work to strengthening your muscles with care and provide information on injury prevention and appropriate body alignment.

His program works, plain and simple. I'm 50 years old and was looking for a personal trainer who truly understands low-impact strength training--and I couldn't be happier that I found Chris at North Valley. I visited several gyms in North Phoenix before deciding, and most of them focused on high-impact, CrossFit-style workouts that just weren't right for me. Chris stood out immediately. He offers exactly what I was looking for: effective, personalized strength training in a boutique-style environment where I feel comfortable and supported. He runs semi-private sessions that are small enough to give everyone individual attention, but he also offers one-on-one personal training. From time to time, I like to schedule a personal training session with him to focus on specific goals or areas I want to improve--and it's always worth it. The gym community is fantastic, too. There's a wide range of ages, body types, and fitness levels--and absolutely no judgment. Everyone is friendly, encouraging, and just there to improve themselves. If you're in your 40s, 50s, or beyond and want a trainer who gets it, I highly recommend Chris and North Valley.
