Big fan of the OTF Tukee tribe. I've been going to this studio for a solid year + since moving to…read morethe area. There's been some staff changes in the last year but that's something I've observed in the last few years period in the fitness industry. We have some really great trainers - love Madi, Kim & Josh! All have an open mindset in helping you perform your best - whether that be with weight modifications or subbing one cardio machine for another. OTF has definitely stepped up their community engagement as well- lots of opportunities to meet/hang with people in/outside of the gym (we love a good #NoShowerHappyHour) and dress up occasions. The biggest downfall? PRICING. I get it... it's expensive, inflation, yadda yadda yadda. But the prices seem to have jumped up tremendously even since 2021. I'm willing to make it work since I've been a member for a few years but there's definitely a shock to the system at what they're charging now for all of the price tiers. Hopefully 2024 won't be a year of constant price increases so more people can experience #MoreLife.

The instructors at this studio are wonderful at giving form correction when asked, and helpful. The front desk personal are friendly and helpful as well. The staff is always welcoming, and the overall community here is truly something special. I've been an Orangetheory Fitness member for nearly 12 years and have visited over 125 studios across the country due to frequent work travel--and I can confidently say Coach Joan is the best, hands down. She immediately made me feel at home at the Tempe studio, always offers thoughtful modifications for my injuries, and genuinely loves what she does. Her energy is infectious in the best possible way. Whether you're visiting from out of town or looking to start a new fitness routine, I highly recommend this studio. Give the front desk a call--they'll take great care of you!

I like them equally since every OTF I've been to in state, and in other states, are set up similarly so you can just hop into any gym and get a great workout. This Tempe location is conveniently located on Guadalupe Rd near 101, in the Fry's shopping center. There's always parking, the instructors are great, and the staff is friendly. I will complain about one thing, and this isn't related to this OTF location itself but the OTF policies in general, I just placed a 30 day freeze on my account, I'll be traveling out of the country for almost a month. I was told there is $15 freeze fee, which I think is pretty lame. It's not like I could use my classes if I wanted to, so charging me to freeze just seems gratuitous. But that is corporate, capitalist America for you. I don't agree with this fee, but I'm not bothered enough to stop working out here. And OTF knows that. Anyway. OTF Tempe is great otherwise.

The decision to close the South Mountain studio is an enormous mistake. This location may be small,…read morebut it embodies everything Orangetheory stands for--community, consistency, and heart. It is truly a "small but mighty" studio that has built something incredibly special. I also want to emphasize that there are no comparable alternatives in this area. For many of us, this studio is not interchangeable with another location--it is our fitness home, and its loss will be deeply felt. Michelle Stanneart is, without question, one of the most dedicated and hardworking employees you have. She carries the roles of head coach, studio manager, and so much more, and does so with an unmatched level of commitment and care. People like Michelle are the reason members stay, grow, and succeed. Closing this studio doesn't just remove a location--it dismantles a community that reflects the very best of the Orangetheory brand.

I LOVE THIS GYM! I…read moredecided to finally get healthy and fit, I'm no longer a spry teenager! To start: this gym is focused on scheduled group classes, it's not a gym that you can come into at any time. One nice thing about this gym is they allow you to try your first class for free. You come in 30 minutes early to get a tour of the gym and get the whole explanation of how it works. I loved my first class, so I signed up! I've been really loving the classes. They go between cardio and weights, so you can focus on different parts of your body during the whole class. The coaches are so great at explaining what to do as well as keeping the motivation up! These classes are great if you're a beginner and don't know how to work out, if you like the group aspect, if you like the motivation of coaches and other gym goers, or if you like structured workouts! Come try a class out, it's free! This gym is a bit pricy, but I think it is worth it for where I am in life at the moment.

As new students, we were all shocked (to say the least). Did I mention that not only am I out the money...but my daughter who paid her money for Farrell's is out the money (she is a full time student and used 2 of her PAYCHECKS)!!!!! It gets worse!!! My husband lost his money and all of the students are now trying to work out in a park!!!! I have put in an email to the owner, Lance Farrell, and will update this REVIEW if I hear from him. In the mean time, I would suggest Cross-Fit or Orange Theory Fitness - both in Chandler. **************************WOW************************

I was told I could sign up for 8 sessions, paid over 4 payments, and once the last payment is complete, I could cancel effective immediately. Well I've been trying to get it cancelled for literally weeks now and they just keep dragging me in circles as money keeps getting pulled out of my account. I'm at the point where I am having to email the Regional Manager in the HOPES he can do something to help me, because the gym manager basically said tough luck and LITERALLY said I should wait around a couple more weeks and just see if the cancellation happens!! I don't know about him, but I don't have HUNDREDS of dollars to let them take while I just wait and see if it works!! They have now charged me $300 more than I agreed to, and there's no end in sight!! Other than this scam of a program, the gym is fine in general. It's kept clean and has lots of machines and amenities. It's often pretty busy though, so keep that in mind. The normal membership is fine, and I've enjoyed Eos classes in the past, though I haven't taken any at this specific location. Also keep in mind that there's a 1-month waiting period for cancelling a general membership, so plan ahead. They don't make that clear at all until you try to cancel. Overall, I'd say 4 stars for the gym in general, just cause the staff aren't always very helpful, but zero stars and a giant WARNING sign for their more expensive programs like personal training.
