First time here!! It was super fancy, lots to do! Multiple locations around the valley. Fun equipment the typical gyms wouldn't have. Locker rooms were extremely nice. Had sauna and a steam room. I signed up for a 5-day pass. So far good. I'll see after this week if it's something I would consider joining. They even have a Cafe with Pre, Mid and Post workout snacks and drinks!! A much check out, you can even add to your account credit when making purchases. FYI if you decide to try the trial you will have to bring your ID and leave at the counter each visit.

Woowww... talk about where the dawgs enjoy watching... The Ahwatukee community has a fitness mindset and delivers each and every day. Individual ages don't matter, and the workouts are all for better fitness and health. I can say I love my local

Tested out a few gyms in the area, this one is the best by far. Service is great shoutout to Trevor for making my membership process super easy!

I've been a member for years and never had this problem until the last couple of months.... The 2 janitor guys come at 9pm during hours of operation and are extremely rude and disruptive to people working out ending their day at this establishment. Not only do they haul around their equipment so loudly I can hear it over my headphones but they peep into every work out room eager to go in and start their duties while people are working out. They get out all of their cleaning supplies and leave it all over the place 2 hours before the gym even closes. I just don't get what has changed and why they don't have the cleaners come when the place closes or before it opens to clean up. They start mopping around all of the treadmills ect and the floor is left wet while people are still walking around working out using the equipment. I don't know how many times they've mopped around me on those machines and I get off and have to walk careful so I don't slip. They start sweeping and you'll have to walk around their big piles of dust and hair... it's every night.... I can't express how annoying it has gotten, it's changed my experience which was once therapeutic.... They constantly peep into the yoga / ignite room every night looking if people are in so they can go in and it's just getting real annoying, rude, and disruptive. I start feeling rushed to get out and it's 9:30pm! And hour and a half before close... They lounge around on the couches on their phones by the locker rooms like it's their living room as well with all their equipment just out everywhere and messy. I've been ignoring it a for a while now but I about lost my shit the other night when I was changing and gathering my things in the girls locker room and I look over and one of the cleaners has his head in the door looking with absolutely NO holler or warning what so ever... these guys just have NO MANNERS... im extremely disappointed it's making me reconsider if i want to keep my membership there if this doesn't change.

    Another day at mountain side.

I absolutely love love this gym me and my kids come literally 6 days a week. The staff is super friendly and always open to helping out. Very clean gym, safe and over all just amazing experience. Side note: when I would go to previous gyms I would feel out of place or like a was in a competition. This gym doesn't feel like that you will meet people of all ages and body types and feel very welcomed.

Does this location have heavy bags 🥊?

Yeah Its got one but I wouldn't go here for boxing, it is focused on strength training, stretching, and cardio. not that much fighting sports, though when I used to go I did some technique training.

What is the process for attending a class at this facility? Do you reserve a space by calling/online? Do you show up early?

Im pretty sure you reserve a space online but from my experience I have attended in the middle of a session once without signing up and they were very welcoming and friendly. Therefore, I don't think you should worry about the process, instead what… Read more

We were welcomed promptly by the front desk staff to check in. My friend received several phone calls leading up to the class to ensure she came prepared with grip socks. I however did not receive a call so was not prepared. I ended up having to buy a pair at the studio (no biggie-- I have a cute pair of socks now). I found it a little odd that socks were even needed as the studio was carpeted. I have not done many barre classes so I'm not sure if this is standard. There were several classes offered that morning, my friend and I took the 9am. There was not any sort of introduction by the instructor or overview of what the class would entail, we just jumped right into the class. It's one thing if it's a regular class, but when you're hosting an open house and looking to attract new members I would have appreciated a little bit more of an overview and a chance to connect with the instructor/studio. The music good and I definitely left feeling like I got a good workout (especially my core!) The owner was very positive and welcoming and even gifted the attendees with little mementos from their travels-- which I appreciated and thought was a nice touch :)

I signed up for an afternoon classic barre class and filled out my waiver online before class started. When I got here I was warmly greeted and check in was no problem. I was given a tour of the space. The check in and front area has merchandise for sale, and the studio is spacious and well kept. There are cubbies next to the studio to stash your belongings. For the classic class all your equipment is provided which for our class were 2 lb weights, a ball, looped elastic bands, and a mat. You do need to provide your own grippy socks and they sell their own brand at the studio. I got some at Target for around $5 which were good enough for this class. The class was a good pace, and the instructor was very friendly, welcoming, and engaging. She asked prior to class if I had any injuries, past or present to be aware of. I appreciated her encouraging attitude and she was great at providing instruction on how to do all the moves and letting me know how to do an exercise correctly. The classic barre is a good overall workout and my abs, triceps, and lower body muscles were sore the day after. Some of the crunches/ab exercises were hard on my neck and I had some neck pain afterwards but in hindsight that is usually what happens with me and crunches and I'm sure the instructor would have offered a modifier had I mentioned it. The studio itself was very clean and well ventilated. I appreciated that it was cool enough during class that I wouldn't overheat. Overall it was a great experience and I'd go again to try another class.

As someone who is just trying to learn the basics I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Strength training is new and difficult for me. The trainer Matt, made sure his instructions scaled to my ability which I found incredibly helpful. Gyms around town have such different offerings/cultures so let me highlight some specifics: 1. It's a studio styled - open gym, with lots of strength equipment: strength machines, kettlebells, weight racks, sled, tires etc. 2. Cardio here primarily involves lifting heavy things rapidly. No treadmills, no zumba classes. 3. It's clean, also they can open the bay door at the rear of the gym for fresh air which is a nice feature. 4. Very welcoming to different abilities, ages etc.

It is truly a "small but mighty" studio that has built something incredibly special. I also want to emphasize that there are no comparable alternatives in this area. For many of us, this studio is not interchangeable with another location--it is our fitness home, and its loss will be deeply felt. Michelle Stanneart is, without question, one of the most dedicated and hardworking employees you have. She carries the roles of head coach, studio manager, and so much more, and does so with an unmatched level of commitment and care. People like Michelle are the reason members stay, grow, and succeed. Closing this studio doesn't just remove a location--it dismantles a community that reflects the very best of the Orangetheory brand.

To start: this gym is focused on scheduled group classes, it's not a gym that you can come into at any time. One nice thing about this gym is they allow you to try your first class for free. You come in 30 minutes early to get a tour of the gym and get the whole explanation of how it works. I loved my first class, so I signed up! I've been really loving the classes. They go between cardio and weights, so you can focus on different parts of your body during the whole class. The coaches are so great at explaining what to do as well as keeping the motivation up! These classes are great if you're a beginner and don't know how to work out, if you like the group aspect, if you like the motivation of coaches and other gym goers, or if you like structured workouts! Come try a class out, it's free! This gym is a bit pricy, but I think it is worth it for where I am in life at the moment.
