When I have managed to get someone on the phone, I was told to use the app and show interest in the jobs that are posted. I have done exactly that several times, but weeks go by without a single text, call, or follow-up. It has now been over a month, and I still have yet to receive any response. Eventually, the job posting just disappears, and the same cycle repeats over and over. To make matters worse, even when you comment and they give you a phone number that the agency provides in the comment section of the job posting, it does not help whatsoever. There is still no response, no follow-up, and no communication. This has become extremely frustrating and exhausting. It's honestly hard to understand how this agency continues to operate with such poor communication and lack of follow-through. This level of unprofessionalism is exactly why people struggle to take staffing agencies seriously. If you expect people to take the opportunities you provide seriously, then your agency should also take its responsibility to communicate with applicants seriously. If you're looking for a solid job or a staffing agency that is actually persistent and communicates with its applicants, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. MCRD has two types of rooms that can be booked: $125 a night for a regular room at the main address where the billeting front office is or $140 a night in MCRD Transient Officer Billeting. The latter is where we stayed, it is closer to the harbor in a building with lovely common area comprised of a large dining room hall area, full kitchen, and outdoor patio or sunset harbor dining. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The suites are comprised of a bedroom with 1 queen and a living room with a pull out couch. The format can either be that they are connected, or where they are separated by a Jack and Jill bathroom. Note that these units are prioritized for active duty and thus your reservation can be canceled at any time for them. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you (or bring ear plugs). There is no AC so can units can be loud but it is also directly below the San Diego Airport flight line so you will consistently hear flights from approximately 6am-11pm. You will book your reservations calling the number specified, check in and pick up your Keys from the front office off of Choisin and drive to building 625.
