Nick had previously resealed the transmission pan on my Subaru (it was leaking before when I had tried to seal it myself with an anaerobic sealant). So he fixed it, but it started leaking again. It's a known flawed design from Subaru (the pan doesn't use a gasket but just mates metal to metal) and so it's a common issue with subarus. Anyway, Josh tried to gaslight me and tell me that the leak was actually coming from the output shaft seal because "the wind was pushing the oil leak down and making it look like the pan was leaking." In reality, he just didn't want to redo the repair because it would cost him time x money on his own dime + expensive CVT fluid. He thought he could just gaslight me about what was happening as a solo female and I'd just pay up. Well, I didn't take his bs bait. This is exactly why I started doing my own repairs on my car because you can't trust these dudes. At the very least, Josh could've tried to work with me instead of starting an argument, like say "I can see why you'd think that and we can repair xyz at discounted rate and if the transmission pan is still leaking then we'll replace that on the house." You're not very good with zero customer service skills.

They charge by the hour and do a great job at keeping you updated on the car's status. I don't plan on going to any other repair shop after working with these guys.

He had it for 2+ weeks. When I went to check on it, he said he replaced the spark plugs, mass air flow sensor, replaced a bolt in the turbo and added oil, for a cost of $509 (negotiated down from $700) and he also acknowledged it did not make it run any better. Then he proceeded to tell me he thinks the turbo is going bad (mind you the turbo does nothing at idle speed). He never hooked it to a computer or checked the codes. I then had it towed back home. I ordered a PCV valve ($52 from FCP Euro) and vacuum pump gasket ($12, my suspected oil leak location). Replacing the two parts took me 3-4 hours in my garage. It has been 1 month and over 500 miles since the repair. No issues. Pretty disappointed that i spent $250 in towing, and over $500 in repairs for them to do shade tree mechanic diagnosis and repair. Also, when the car arrived back at my house the interior was filthy. The car had a tan/beige interior and the front seat and dash had oil and dirt stains all over them. DO NOT GO THERE.
