A representative came to my home and sold me a tablet for $50, promising it would be delivered. I paid, and the worker never returned. That was months ago, and despite calling customer service multiple times and even speaking with supervisors, I have not received my tablet or a refund. Customer service has been no help at all. They pass me around from one worker to another with no resolution. It's been extremely frustrating, and it feels like they don't care about their customers. Watch out for TruConnect workers who come to your home -- don't hand them cash. I have this service a young very vice (lol) black man with braids, so you know if he comes to your house named Jermaine. I told him I had the service he said he wanted to check my account and like an idiot I gave him my ID. That night he canceled my service at 9pm. Now, I get up at 4am and at 9pm I am in a deep sleep as I go to bed at 7:30pm. when I couldn't use my phone the next day. I called truconnect and they told me it had been cancelled. They told me to call lifeline of CA and find out if a new account had been opened AND IT HAD!!!! I filed a fraud report with the state. They gave me my NEW NUMBER. They told me to call back TruConnect and fix it telling them the fraud information had been filed. so what I did was set it straight! They had put in a NEW address UNDER MY NAME!!! They activated a phone SO we cancelled the activation, updated the address info had my name spelled correctly and changed the pin (you use your birthday to open account) HAHA They are sending me a new SIM card and i'll keep the new number to be spiteful. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH A PERSON WHO COMES TO YOUR DOOR. They will use your info to scam you. Just in case I put fraud alert on EVERYTHING!!!!! So my friend was working for True Connect and Yesenia his Boss located in Hollywood was making quotes and commission off his sales. The story is he was waiting for his background check but if that was true for a federal job that would have to be cleared first. Finally a email arrived the background check is cleared yet his Bosses are still stealing his commission as he makes all the doses. Now she refuses to fire him but won't let him work. Reported it to the BbB but she was non responsive... Imagine that! Can't even file for EDD or anything... If this is a place that can do this to their employees imagine what they can do to the information they receive from the public! read more

I'd give them fewer stars than one if I could. I don't know how I let myself be talked into accepting a "free" phone. The thing is worthless. The customer service is abysmal. They went behind my back and took my California Lifeline service off my AT&T account and now I have pay twice as much to AT&T in November than I usually do. They put my Lifeline service onto their account and they wouldn't undo that. I had to do it myself. I don't know whether I still have an account with Truconnect. They won't tell me, but I'm going to get away from them one way or another. read more

On 4/26/24, a rep came through my building soliciting these Free phones with Prime for $1/mo for a year which I paid $12 via CashApp. on 5/3/24, I inquired about receiving an actual card to use for Prime benefits & sales, only to be told that the promo that was used to get my business was no longer applicable & hadn't been since Feb. He told me that the $12 was just lost! this is another form of taking advantage of the elderly & elderly abuse (I live in a senior facility). THIS IS A SCAM -- DO NOT BE FOOLED! read more

Worst customer service ever! The 800 number goes to India. Had hard time getting them to identify where the were located, refused to transfer to US based customer service. They tried but failed to "pretended" I was talking to someone in California. I know this becausr the person at first wouldn't tell me where they were at first at then finaly "claimed" they were in California. I suspect they weren't. Why else would they not be straight forward in telling me where they were at? Nobody answered the 323 US areacode phone number. NOT RECOMENDED. read more

Horrible company! Techies are idiots. I have spent FOUR DAYS trying to get back on my iPhone 12 Mini. Oh they are terribly sorry you're having trouble. I used the sim card they sent, and the phone doesn't work. Near the end of each call, they play this damned spiel about selling you some new equipment it is torment. Idiots and many have poor English. I will reestablish my ATT account. Forget Lifeline if the old and poor get jerked around like this. I feel like "jumping out the window " dealing with incompetent so called business...I think its a "scam" myself...Trying to help my disabled, ederly brother get a cell phone from this company....It's been 2 agonizing months and it still does not work....Our tax dollors are going to "feed" this compnay and they are worthless...They are all overseas, I can barely hear and understand any of the countless people I have talked to...
