The date matters because of two things. First, Jan. 14 is also Frosted Tops anniversary. They were 6 years strong. All treats were half-off. Insane! I got a half dozen cupcakes including red velvet, double chocolate chip, carrot cake and others. The three I mentioned were awesome: moist and flavorful. Their frosting is definitely on the sweeter side... perhaps the most sugary cream cheese frosting I've ever tasted. I liked it. I also snagged a raspberry layer cake in a cup. The tart raspberry was the perfect addition to cut through the super sweet frosting. All of that for a song at half-off! Secondly, and maybe this is of little concern for Casper residents, but for someone passing through or visiting for a weekend, it's crucial. Frosted Tops keeps their online hours updated. I stopped by another sweets shop that day that had hours online which claimed it was "closing soon." When I got there, they had winter hours posted on a piece of paper on the door and weren't even open on the weekends.
