Wind City Sweets & Treats: A Little Slice of Pastry Heaven!…read more If you're in Casper and haven't been to Wind City Sweets & Treats, drop everything and go--now! This charming bakery is a sugar lover's paradise, but there's one masterpiece that stands above the rest: their strawberry cream-filled croissant. I've had croissants before--good ones, even great ones--but nothing compares to this. Imagine a pastry so buttery, so perfectly flaky, so massive that it practically dwarfs your face. Then, take that golden, delicate croissant and slice it sandwich-style, stuffing it to the brim with pillowy clouds of the most luxurious whipped buttery cream and slices of fresh, juicy strawberries. Every bite is an explosion of textures and flavors--the crisp, shattering layers of pastry giving way to the smooth, rich cream and the burst of sweet-tart strawberry. It's indulgence on a whole new level. It's art in pastry form. It's hands down the best croissant I've ever had in my life. I'm not kidding when I say I still daydream about it--my mouth waters just thinking about that first bite! If you love pastries, treat yourself to this masterpiece at Wind City Sweets & Treats. Your taste buds will thank you!

Great breakfast sandwich options that ranked well with lots of big city favorites. The space is bright, clearly immaculate and appealing. The person behind the cases was charming, willing to offer her opinion and committed to taking the best care of me. Great experience all around! Bill PS the strawberry clouds traveled to Billings without a hitch and were a hit!

Must have been a rookie as she was not sure what she needed to ask what I wanted with my breakfast. After what seemed liked a longer than normal wait (we drank the thermos of coffee) our breakfast arrived. Mine was lukewarm at best ( the toast plate was warmer than the toast) the hash browns were so over cooked that I feared I would break a tooth. My advice go to Eggington's. To top it off we had to go to the cashier for our check and then they gave us the wrong one. Luckily it was for less than our original bill.

Once we ordered it was another 45 minutes before our food came. Bathroom could use some better upkeep, the largest stall door didn't close all the way and there was toilet paper on the floor. Eggs Benedict was good, flavorful hollandaise sauce and thick cut ham. The fruit wasn't great, just cantaloupe and grapes. Chicken fried steak was good but side of pancakes was nothing special. Would have appreciated some other hot sauce options, only Tabasco was offered. Once we got home both of us had a stomach ache, we most likely won't be coming back as it was overall underwhelming.

Perkins American Food - Todays special. Chorizo omelette with country potatoes & pancakes. $8. Super cheap, but was not a fan of the chorizo.
