We got the cauliflower and cheese pie as starters. Both were delicious but the cheese pie really stood out. We ordered and I got a salad with lamb and my friend got a gyro with feta. When it was brought out I was given a plain gyro. So I gave it to him thinking it was his. But it didn't have feta. So his was brought out and the server was like "that's yours and that's why I placed it in front of you." I thought that was a little rude. But I was like whatever if hey messed up my order I'll eat it. A gyro is basically my salad on bread. Then someone else came out and gave me my salad. So they just let us keep the extra gyro. That was cool. I feel bad because I could hear the staff arguing about the incorrect gyro and it wasn't a big deal. I felt like they thought we caused it. After the server was very nice. So I think maybe they were just frustrated by the situation. You can buy buckets of their sauce to go!!! Food is excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. I'm so glad this spot has lasted the test of time. Tabouli is my favorite! The hummus is really good, too. I typically order the Lamb Basmati which is about 6oz of nugget sized lamb piece's served over Basmati Rice with lemon, parsley over top. Highly Disappointed. I ordered (2) chicken Kabobs, as well as fish & fries (I know everyone is going to read this and say, "why order fish & fries at a Mediterranean restaurant?" That's a story for another day, anyways... the order costed me $36 which I gladly paid hoping and praying that I was going to get my moneys worth. I waited 15 minutes and they came with my food. I got to the car, looked at my food and wanted to cry. I got 2 small pieces of fish that was burned and a container of grilled chicken. Still one of my absolute fav places in the valley. The service is top notch; always so friendly and never get your order wrong even when it's packed. The hummus so so smooth and creamy. This was a quaint little place. The food was authentic and fresh, and owner was kind and attentive. My wife ordered the lamb gyro and I ordered the lamb kebab entree. The gyro was hot and fresh while the lamb had a nice char and the flavor was outstanding. They did forget to make my wife's gyro Greek style, but the owner noticed before we said anything and he quickly apologized along with giving us complementary baklava. That is one darn tasty gyro. They have their own twist on the classic Greek pita sandwich with their lemony sauce (definitely try it) and lamb that is just super tender. Moreover, their homemade pita chips and hummus are quite good. The service is prompt and personal. This is a small mom and pop shop so you can tell they care. They admitted the error but asked us if we wanted to pick the item up....seriously, I just paid for takeout wit a tip and they expected me to be inconvenienced for their error. Ate her yesterday with some friends before attending an event in the area. The service was good, and the food was very good. We especially liked the fresh hummus. I liked the lamb gyro, something I haven't been able to eat very often in the last couple years. Friends ordered a variety of appetizers for their meal, which they liked, except felt the ratios were off for their taste in the tabouleh. My gf turned me onto this place. I love it. However I don't know what's going on. Last time I stopped in I asked for my shrimp gyro to be in a wrap instead of the bread because when I ate there they did that for me. But when I got home it was in the gyro bread. However the rice was amazing. Lots of lemonaise and I looked past it as a communication break down. However I stopped again today and asked for the shrimp gyro in a wrap. AGAIN I got the gyro bread. And this time I couldn't look past it because the rice was so minimal and absolutely no taste whatsoever. Looked like it should have taste but had none. Zero. Zip. Zilch. And it was hard which means over cooked. They weren't busy. There were only 2 tables being used and one appeared to be employees. So disappointing. I will try it one more time. Next time I will open and look at my order before leaving. I'm so sad how it's going downhill and not sure why. Fingers crossed next time they fulfill my order as I request. My family has loved this place for years and I remember walking to True Blue from the highschool nearby during breaks on midterms! Best gyro I've ever had. The owner constantly tells you about the other two locations and she mentioned it to us 3 times while we were there. Also , I don't know if it's a notification sound for delivery's or something but there is a loud beeping noise every five minutes and it's soooooo annoying. What an adorable place in a strip mall for dinner- interestingly placed right between a tattoo parlor and cigar shop. While dining here, there were so many people coming and going, I cannot say it is a hidden gem. For what is around, True Blue is the best! The menu is rather extensive, but it is mostly a cafe style menu. The entrees are mostly just meat with rice, hummus and a tomato-cucumber salad, with one veg option. They are open to the veg needs, and so you can ask for this lemon tahini vegan sauce on the food items. There is also salad with any protein and gyros. The appetizers are hummus, baba, tabouli and grape leaves, to name a few. If you need it vegan, just ask! The service is by the folks who own it, so in a busy evening, it was slow, but, very kind and attentive when around. There is indoor and outdoor seating, again in a very casual style. They have wifi and espresso drinks galore! The cauliflower was quite good, and covering a mammoth plate of lemon spiced rice. I enjoyed it, though it was a bit salty. I've been here twice now and have liked all the food I've eaten here so far. I am particularly pleased that their menu accommodates vegans. This always makes me feel particularly well served at a restaurant. The place is nice inside, if a bit loud (lots of hard surfaces, blender, music, fans in the summertime, etc). Overall, aesthetically, I like it. It's kind of stylish in a coffee shop sort of style. I prefer some other places with similar cuisines due to my personal preferences. I'm loathe to make any criticism of this place, though, as a consequence of my preferences. I really did like the food, I just wouldn't consider their preparations to be my favorite. I'd happily come back when I need to eat out while in the area, so this is not a complaint. read more

The good: The woman who was the cashier and server was lovely and gracious. It looked immaculate. She was extremely fast helping customers. The yuck: I got the lamb gyro but I didn't recognize the sauce other than knowing it wasn't tzatziki sauce. The woman told me it was mayo based and just suggested getting on the side, thank goodness, or I would've tossed the entire gyro if it was in it. I really, really disliked the sauce (and threw it all out). But the lamb was real and not processed and it was delicious. Without the tzatziki, it was all dry and the tomatoes were flavorless. They did serve a hummus-like sauce also and I used it but very little and I can't say I actually liked it; I tolerated it briefly. The grape leaves were six in a serving and also lacked the tzatziki, so I spit out what I ate in the garbage. It was very dry and seemed oddly greasy (?) I'm not sure but I didn't like it. I went to Whole Foods after and bought tzatziki but I'll eat it with something else because I finished the gyro and it didn't help the grape leaves at all. It may be a matter of what one is used to and I've been going to Greek restaurants for decades in many states and they've unfortunately all been better than the food I got here. To each our own. I'm not going back because they're a small business and I hope folks like it better than I. They had a number of diners there, so they had an appeal and I'm glad. I wish I liked it. read more

The place is adorable but unfortunately the food is just ok. I've never had a gyro with MAYO????? Gyros have Tzatziki sauce. It's not hard to make and really makes a gyro a gyro. Otherwise it's just a chicken sandwich. The babaganoosh had a burnt flavor. Like the eggplant was burnt and they hoped it wouldn't show if they made it anyway.
