We were seated after the people who walked in after us. Some tables received water and no complimentary bread/olives while others received no water but complimentary bread/olives. Our bread was also sitting out for some time as the baker was not present to make it fresh at the time. It appeared very stale. The restaurant was half empty but it took over an hour (in addition to the understood 25 minute maklouba prep) for our main entree to come out. When it did, there was no apology and we had to ask if the accompanying labneh was on its way for the maklouba. The maklouba itself had rice grains not fully cooked. The server was avoiding eye contact as we tried to ask for more napkins, water and an update on our order. It then took another thirty minutes for us to get the check and pay, which was only possible because we got up. We watched as people waited so long to not only be seated but to also check out. The menu has a lot to offer of the Palestinian culture but the lack of service, lack of freshness and lack of efficiency won't have us coming back.

There are just so many options and I have to come back to try more entrees and drinks.

I started off with their spinach pie. It was what I would describe as a roll studded with sauteed spinach and onions and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. When asking the waitress, I asked if it would be similar to spanakopita, she said it was, but the heavy doughy bread was not really what I had hoped for or expected. Was it good, yes. Would I order it again, no. For my main I went with the Lamb Kebab in Pita. Grilled lamb, lettuce, tomato, parsley, onions, and a light hummus spread. The lamb was a little chewy but the flavors of the fresh vegetables and the seasoned lamb blended well together. I am not always the biggest fan of hummus and find that it tends to be too gritty for my texture pallet. However, this spread was mixed with a creamy sauce of some kind that really brought out the flavor without that grittiness that you sometimes find in hummus. The food came out fast, from the time we sat down till we finished our food it was just under an hour. So overall a good experience. When it came time to pay, we never received an itemized bill, we were just given a total. Later on, doing the math, we found that for the two bills at our table, both were considerably different than the prices listed on the menu, even after adding on the standard 6% tax. Based on the differences, we can only assume that the prices listed on the menu and website are no longer the actual price of the meal. Or, both our bills just happened to be messed up. We can't really say. But that alone for me changed this from a 5 star experience to a 3. The Grill is listed as a 5.2 currently on my Beli, and again, for me I do not like transparency on pricing or total charges but the food itself and the ambiance is a really nice experience.

That was cool. I feel bad because I could hear the staff arguing about the incorrect gyro and it wasn't a big deal. I felt like they thought we caused it. After the server was very nice. So I think maybe they were just frustrated by the situation. You can buy buckets of their sauce to go!!! Food is excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The deli is on a corner and only has a few tables, but as I walked in the smell of the food was so good. I wanted to try everything on their menu, but I limited myself to a kafta sandwich and falafel bites. The falafel were amazing, the owner Hilaneh is so friendly and stated that the falafel recipe came from an old restaurant in Damascus, syria. It was the best falafel I've had in United States, very authentic flavor and just the perfect balance of spices. I will be coming back to try their deli items as well as some more falafel.

The place is big with nice decor and ambiance, and the tables are spaced out enough that it keeps the area around you quiet enough to be able to hold a conversation comfortably with the people at your table. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

For appetizers, we shared the coconut shrimp, fried calamari, bacon wrapped scallops, and a crab cake. While everything was enjoyable, the standout was definitely the scallops. The bacon was perfectly crisp, the scallops tender and well-cooked, and the accompanying raspberry chipotle compote added a sweet and smoky touch. For my main course, I had the half pound lobster roll, tossed in rich brown butter and served on a perfectly toasted brioche bun. It was absolutely outstanding! I'd come back to Yoell's just for this. My buddy went with the surf & turf, which includes an 8 oz filet mignon, a 4 oz lobster tail, and jumbo lump crabmeat. Definitely a great choice, he was more than satisfied! The service wasn't terrible, but it was surely disappointing. Our server lacked friendliness and any sense of personality.

When food is going to take longer than usual, it would make a big difference to bring something small to the table, even pappadums or another light starter, just to keep guests happy and occupied. It would also help if someone came over to apologize, give an update, and let guests know how much longer the food may take. Also, the cold plastic plates should really be upgraded. They feel cheap and tacky, and hot food should not be served onto cold plastic plates. Real plates would immediately improve the presentation and overall dining experience. The main dining room could use more warmth and charm. Right now, it feels a bit sparse and not especially cozy. But the room you first enter is in much greater need of attention. Honestly, it feels rather depressing to eat in that area. It would not have to break the bank to make it warmer and more inviting. A little decor, better lighting, warmer colors, or even a few thoughtful touches would go a long way. Right now, it just feels like very little effort was made in that space and that it's just a path to the cash register. One final suggestion: when it is time to pay, please do not stand over guests while they review the bill and decide on a tip. It feels uncomfortable. Either leave the device on the table or bring a paper bill first, then return when the guest is ready. Overall, the food is very good and the people are friendly. With a few service and atmosphere improvements, Cumin 'n Eat could offer a much better full dining experience. Our family really loves the food so kudos to the great chefs!

For years my family has been searching for truly authentic Mediterranean cuisine-- after tonight the search is over! Sahara is our new favorite restaurant. The quality and freshness of each ingredient in every dish that they serve sets this restaurant apart from all the others by miles. The flavor of each dish was exquisite and tells a story of the hard work and many hours that go into crafting each bite. The service was fantastic, and it was such a pleasure learning more from the owner Tom about how they prepare their incredible food. We ordered the family dinner platter with skewers of chicken, beef, and lamb-- all of the meats and grilled vegetables were marinated, cooked, and seasoned to perfection. The platter came with the shepherd salad, which was all made fresh upon ordering and had a great lemon dressing. The platter also included their fresh pita bread and hummus, which were incredible! The French fries included in the platter were delicious as well. We ordered an appetizer of their stuffed grape leaves too, which were out of this world! For dessert, we had their homemade baklava, which only further sealed the deal that this restaurant is our new family favorite! If we could give Sahara more than a perfect review, we would! After spending over 14 years living and traveling in Europe, it has been difficult to find a restaurant that matches the quality and freshness of the food served overseas-- Sahara achieved that and more! Very nice little restaurant. Upon first entering we noticed how clean and well kept to premises is. We sat at table, planning to dine in, and service was prompt and courteous. Menu is plentiful and attractive to almost all palates. My wife and I ordered the combo meat platter and my daughter ordered the Shwarma. The combo included fresh salad of peppers, cucumbers in refreshing dressing, and hummus with pita bread, plenty of food for 3 - DELICIOUS!!. Sharma was delicious as well. As someone who has eaten Mediterranean food for their whole life,this place is absolutely a must. The food melts in your mouth with a blast of perfectly blended spices. Each dish will leave you satisfied with its unique textures and layers. Along with the exquisite food that,for me, is a perfect forkful of home, the service is equally as warm. My brother and I are in from NY for a few days and decided to stop in because we wanted an actual meal instead of fast food. It was about 45 minutes to closing when we walked in and were immediately seated. Greeted by one of the friendliest servers, she took our order and the food came out promptly. It was fresh, delicious and some of the best Mediterranean food we've ever had. Being from NY, we definitely are keen on taste, and quality of food and this was top tier. The most amazing meal I've ever eaten ! My taste buds are still saying WOW !!! every dish perfectly prepared! Every sauce, every salad delicious ! Our meat was grilled to perfection !!! The service was fabulous, the atmosphere quaint ... it was a Mediterranean delight! This is a 5 star experience for a reasonable price. Can't wait to go back! All I can say ... is it want more ! This place is top notch. The owners are very nice and helpful. Our new office opened locally and all co-workers I have taken or guided here hold the same opinion. The chicken shawarma as reported is something to behold. The meat is crispy yet moist. I hesitate trying other main items bc it's so good. The meat pie and babaganoush are top notch as well. Ugh, getting hungry. read more

Do yourself a favor. Check this place out. Its simply fantastic. Its a small family run bus. The food is really good. Made while I waited. Im not kidding. They actually put the ingredients together while I watched. Go by and see for yourself. You will not be dissapointed. JC read more

Restaurant is clean and bright, toppings looked fresh. The gentleman who took my order was super patient and nice. I ordered The O.G., Tzatziki, Beef & Lamb Gyro, Tomato, Shredded Iceberg, Red Onion, sans onions and asked to add cucumber and feta and was told then I'd have to exclude another topping, side-eye. I opted to remove the tomatoes since I was doing take-away and MiL has tomatoes I can add. My order did not take long and when I opened the packaging the gyro looked great. Arrived home and took a bite and was so disappointed. The meat was dry and salty, the cucumbers were sparse and cubed so tiny I was searching for if they were even there and the feta looked shredded and had no taste. The tzatziki and pita were editable but I ended up chucking the sandwich because who wants to eat just pita and tzatziki :( ? Needless to say I will not be back.
