No one else is available so my mom just has to go with that. The nursing director has been doing her best to follow-up on issues so I hope things work out as she is not happy either when care or service is not provided. Left a message to talk to the administrator 2 days ago and still have not heard back from her although I know she is busy as she manages 3 assisted living properties. I recently assisted a friend who is suffering with memory loss at their rehab facility. Her…read moretreatment was great and activities were amble as she is very much a people person. I was pleased with how she was treated. I was particularly impressed with dealing with the social worker office who advised me of her insurance coverage. She received quality care during her 20 day visit. Dining for the guests is very nice. Many residents eat in their room but my friend chose to eat in the Bistro dining room. She made friends quickly and on severely occasions I had lunch or dinner myself there and was required as a guest to pay nominal fee but the servers told they couldn't accept a gratuity. The staff was always pleasant and patient with the guests.

My father was sent there against his will for short term rehabilitation by my mother. He became 100…read morepercent bed bound, was drugged up on an antipsychotic Abilify, Celexa and Effexor all at the same time. He he large dvt blood clots in one arm, and a infected arm fistula that was gram positive in his other arm. I had to order them to send him to the ER and his nurse tried to talk me out of doing it for 5 minutes. She is incompetent and should not be working anymore. Within in an hour of being in the Er I found out my father had sepsis and was going into toxic shock. He had 101.7 fever. I was told he would have died within hours if I had not got him an ambulance. Unfortunately, the sepsis caused internal bleeding because he had it so long. He fought for three weeks in the hospital and he wanted to live and come back to live with me. I had to send my father to hospice house to go off dialysis and die. My father had deep pressure wounds, bilateral reddened heels that blistered and he was transferred with gait belts at this place! Patients should be rotated by staff every 3 hours, instead they have in his records that he was reminded to shift himself when he was crippled and has mild Dementia. I would not place any human being in this facility.

They were constantly cleaning the floors and rooms. The TVs in the rooms do not have remotes so if you are in a wheelchair, it's very difficult to change the channel without being in the bed. Staff Very friendly and helpful. There were always people around to assist when needed. PT / OT I feel all of the sessions were well conducted but would have appreciated them to be more challenging for the goals I had set. On weekends, I did more sitting around than anything. I wished there were 2 sessions each day as there are during the week. Food Breakfast meals were very good. One problem was they always ran out of coffee and could not get anymore. The most I ever had was 2 cups in the AM. No coffee served at lunch or dinner. Overall, the food was good.

I did call both days I had to miss but apparently they still considered it a no show. I find this is a harsh policy. I couldn't help getting sick and it was definitely unexpected situation. (If I was in a bad car accident and canceled a couple of sessions they would consider that a NO SHOW??) Again, I did CALL each time to let them know I was sick.

My husband was admitted there for rehab after back surgery…read more The staff is unhelpful, disrespectful and lazy. Especially the night staff, where staff is impatient, lacking compassion and can be ridiculing when you need help. Most importantly they mixed up medicines. His medical records were send to them from the hospital and I reiterated them to the nurse (Marie) upon check in. However, they still under dosed 1 medicine (by 2/3) and OVER dosed another by 20 times as it was being micro tapered (due to discontinuation syndrome) by the patient and therefore patient supplied. As per the hospital and myself. This was a drug they never should have given him. Yet they never questioned it and gave it to him anyway without our knowledge. This was the last straw. Thinking of contacting our attorney.
