Very pleasantly surprised that I received very good customer service here. I think his name is "Abel" and he was very nice. I had them comb a car for a tracking device. Their price was reasonable and was 10% of the price of a company in Los Angeles. They worked diligently and got the work done. I would highly recommend True Customs. I took my car here to be wrapped the beginning of August, and 2 months later it still wasn't completed, and they ran out of wrap and substituted with a completely different wrap color for the bumpers that they promised looked similar. I pulled the car out early due to the lack of meeting deadlines they agreed to. I had to constantly call them for progress and status updates. As of right now my experience with them had been very positive. I walked in with a semi challenging task and they took the job same day and head on. They were very communicative, reasonably priced and worked patiently with us. I also really like their laid back environment. My 2021 Chevrolet Corvette C8 was dropped off at this repair shop called True Customs (address 1316 National City Blvd National City, CA 91950) on Monday October 11, 2021 at 9:00 to get vertical doors installed on the vehicle I let the sales clerk know that the vehicle had PPF Paint Protective Film on the vehicle he assured me this would not be a problem he even wrote notes PPF on vehicle on the invoice. On Tuesday True Customs clerk Paul called Wrap FX owner Alvaro Escodedo (the company who put the paint protective film on my car) letting him know that he had damaged my front driver side fender Paint Protective Film (PPF) when he put tap on the edges of the film and removed the fender. Paul then asked the owner of Wrap FX can they fix the damages Paul says yes, they could but he would have to see the vehicle. True Customs didn't inform me that they damaged my vehicle until the day I picked it up on 10/14/2021 they told me at the shop before I picked up the car they would pay for the damages. I drove the car immediately to Wrap FX located at 1739 Palm Ave Suite B San Diego Ca 92154 so they could fix the damaged Paint protective film. Alvaro Escobedo at Wrap FX said he could remove and fix the Paint protective film for $550.00. That day Alvaro did a full inspection of the car and noticed that True Customs had also damaged the undercarriage of the driver side door when a jack when they jacked the car up in the air to remove the front fenders. I called True Customs on Monday 10/18/2021 to see if they were going to pay for all the damages, they caused to my vehicle they said yes on the phone. When Wrap FX emailed the damage invoice to True Customs on 1018/2021, he followed up the email with a call to True Customs and the manager said they were not going to pay for any damages that they had caused to my vehicle while my vehicle was under their care. After hearing that I filed a police report and called my insurance company to report the damages to my vehicle under my comprehensive claim. I have pictures of all the damages which are attached, and after I pick up my car from the Wrap FX, I have to take it to a body repair shop to get the undercarriage repaired also from the damage True Customs caused to my vehicle while in their shop. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY WILL BE GOING AFTER THERE INSURANCE COMPANY FOR ALL THE DAMAGES THEY CAUSED TO MY VEHICLE. read more

Review Update: I went yesterday to meet with the manager, Abel. He was a very nice man, however the trip was a waste. Also, 1 of his sales people who was NOT involved at all, came outside & attempted to be confrontational, bad business to treat a PAYING customer this way. Ultimately, we weren't able to come to an agreement. Abel although a nice person, did as expected and defended the business. I in turn, defended my daughter. Lesson learned. Came to this place after a friend recommended it, he got some work done on his corvette. Anyway I took my 2019 Corvette to get a spoiler installed last Monday on my day off, they quoted me a price and I let them do their thing. That day, they needed more time with the car, so I left it over night. The day I came to pick it up, everything look until I got home and I tried to open the hatch. The hatch would not open because the spoiler was blocking it! Took it back today on Monday, my day off to have it fix. The manger asked me to leave it again , because they wanna do things right, ¿well what happened the first time? when they had it for 24 hrs! I got the basic $129 amount tint, and he explained in a way that a normal person like myself (without any car knowledge) about what I'd be getting. He broke down cost, potential upgrades, warranties etc. with patience and honesty. He also expedited the service when I told him honestly I had plans for a work related appt of sorts. I waited all of 2 1/2 hours for a service that typically takes 4 hours. I upgraded and I'm SO GLAD--the tint I got is way more durable and has a lifetime warranty NATIONWIDE. How awesome. I bought a set of after market headlamps for my 2015 Cruze. After seeing the wiring I decided to have them professionally installed. This shop was recommended to me by my father so I called in for a quote. Not only was their quote almost half of what other body shops quoted, they stood by their quote the day of and were able to make me a speedy appointment. The headlamps I purchased had halogen lights and couldn't fit HID lights for the H7 size. They were able to custom cut a hole in the headlight socket to fit HID bulbs and they did a really good job sealing the custom holes for the HIDs as well. They had to do a little rewiring for the HIDs, but they did an amazing job over all. They gave me a really good deal on lifetime guaranteed HIDs too. They were able to install this custom job in a very reasonable time in the same day and had great honest service. I'm very happy with the result and I definitely trust this shop enough to come back for anymore work I'll need. Thank you. read more

***ZERO STARS*** I was just ripped off and taken as a victim of this place. I went in and spent $3,850 on pure disappointment and un ethical practice. The staff seems to be a bunch of unprofessional a-matures, that are just out to take peoples money. Peter the "Sales Guy" will promise you the world and back to make whatever money he needs to make and then far under delivers. With so much regret I paid these chumps for a lift kit, new tires and an alignment. The lift kit was not properly installed ( or wasn't even the right one for our truck.) a couple of months later I realized the thread on the tires was very worn, at the same time neighbor of mine then pointed out that the tires were not aligned and were not straight. I called true customs the very next day and speak to Abel who is the so called "manager". He told me to bring the truck in to check it out. Once their he sent us to go get an alignment which true customs agreed to pay for. At the alignment shop, the tech that was helping told us that the arm supports where placed backwards, there for he would not be able to do the alignment. With that being said it's obvious that they never did an alignment to begin with ( like I had paid for) otherwise they would of noticed there was a problem! After that we returned to True Customs and relayed the information to Abel. He told us to leave the truck and he would find out what the problem was. At that moment we requested that they fix the lift kit, and replace the worn tires for new tires (because it was as their negligence of poor workman ship, that lead the tires to ware down so much in only a couple of months). Abel said he would try to figure out what the problem was, but we would have to buy new tires because it's been two and a half months. We did not agree to that, since again it was their POOR WORKMANSHIP that lead to this problem. I then proceeded to give them time to make things right and fix the problems only to get the run around by everyone. Every time I called to get an update, I would get an answer. Instead they would just say they would call us back, but they never did. They had my truck since November 8 2019 till today November 14th 2019 and they haven't done one thing to my truck. On the other hand, When I went in today, Peter was there. He just handed us the keys and didn't even acknowledge the fact, that I had just spoken to him an hour earlier and he promised over the phone that he was going to make things right. Never the less we walked out only to find that the truck was parked around the block from their shop ( out of their sight, out of their mind). With that being said ( and only partial of the story) Save your time and money and don't bother being a victim of this shady business. I just reported a charge dispute on my credit card and I encourage everyone else that has been ripped of by them to do the same. I will be reporting true customs to the BUREAU OF CONSUMER PROTECTION/FEDERAL CONSUMERS ASSOCIATION and to every social platform available. These people are thieves. They knowingly jeopardize the life and safety of people who pay them with hard earned money, just so they can make a buck. As a business owner my self, I fee very ashamed that there are business like this out there. NO INTEGRITY, NO STANDARDS, NO QUALITY, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE, AND DEFINITELY NOT TRUST WORTHY! After talking to Abel about purchasing rims I had finally decided to go with a pair that I found perfect. Once getting a loan approved, paper work signed, and then leaving my car there for them to work on; I had received a call from Abel saying they do not have the rims I had paid for and it would take up to a month or longer for them to get. In return I had settled with rims I did not want entirely. Side note: customer service is beyond terrible. Peter kept trying to talk to me for advice about his relationship problems which I felt entirely uncomfortable with. This place will lie cheat and do what ever they can to take your money.
