I booked True Elegance Tours & Transportation for my 50th birthday, and the experience was extremely disappointing. We had a timed tasting dinner reservation, so reliability was important. While the driver arrived on time, the limo was very hot with no functioning AC, and there were no glasses or ice provided even though they were included. We had to go back into our hotel to get our own. About 15 minutes into the drive, the engine failed. The driver tried returning us to the hotel, but shortly before arriving he lost control of the vehicle and had to pull over, forcing 10 of us to get out on the side of the road in formal attire. We had to call Ubers back to the hotel and use our own rental vehicles instead. As a result, we left almost 45 minutes late. With Friday traffic, we arrived 45 minutes late to dinner, missing part of the experience. The issues continued afterward. I contacted the company for a refund and was told it would be processed. Weeks went by with no refund. I called repeatedly--about 15 times over almost two months--and never received a follow-up or call back. I eventually had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. For the price, we expected professionalism, working equipment, and customer service. Instead, we experienced stress, unsafe conditions, and zero accountability. I would not recommend this company. read more

I made a reservation online. Unfortunately, I had to cancel it, but I did cancel my reservation more than 2 weeks prior to the date. I received both an email and verbal confirmation that the reservation was cancelled. For some reason, 2 days PRIOR to the date of the original reservation, this company charged my credit card for almost $600. This occurred 4 months ago, and I am still trying to get my refund back from this company. Every call I make, I am told the same thing, it was their error- they cancelled it in the dispatcher system, but not the reservation system and that they would correct in with accounting. True Elegance owes me and my friends over $1,000.00 due to damages they caused to our airbnb property by getting a massive charter bus (which we didn't ask for) in the yard. Also, one day our driver was speeding on the interstate and the butterfly. door flew open while we were all in the back. The driver/manager never apologized for any of these mishaps and was late to many pick ups and drop offs. The manager Bobby clearly does not take care of his employees or his customers. Please read carefully. While the service provided may be good, they lack financial controls to verify the person booking the reservation is not being fraudulent. In my case, a person charged $800 to my credit card fraudulently. Because True Elegance lacks controls to validate the charge, I now have to get a new credit card issued (despite having it in my possession) because someone was able to use the cc without having any verification upon using the service (which they did the same day it was booked). Given this was the only fraudulent charge, clearly this person knew who to target effectively. A big inconvenience, not to mention very poor business practice. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We contracted this company for a ride for 8 people (+ luggage) from San Francisco airport to our resort hotel in St Helena. I specifically inquired as to the quality and comfort offered and was assured this would be first-class transportation. The driver showed up late because she was at the wrong terminal even though it was clearly marked on our reservation confirmation. Upon discovering that there was barely enough room for 4 suitcases in the rear of the van, we were forced to pile our luggage in the passenger area cramping us inside the vehicle. The inside of the van was also pretty dirty, and some of the window shades were broken as well. After that bit of a rough start, we then discovered the air conditioning to be not functioning AT ALL. The temperature outside was in the high 80's and so this was not considered acceptable by any means. When we pointed this out to our driver, she actually pulled over onto the shoulder of the freeway in rush-hour traffic to stop and potentially assess the situation. After an unsuccessful attempt to get working air into our passenger area, she pulled back onto the freeway and proceeded to put in earbuds and close the connection window. I repeatedly attempted to call and text her to let her know that the air was still not functioning, but to no avail. I would have requested she open the front two and pass-through windows of the van, but she would not respond at all. When we arrived at our hotel, 2 hours later, we were required to off-load our own luggage and when we questioned the lack of working air conditioning, she then informed us that we should call her boss and drove away. I have made a couple of attempts to speak with someone at this supposedly world-wide "luxury" business and have had zero replies from anyone there. I will DEFINITELY NOT use this company ever again and recommend that any future potential clients be very wary and hire at your own risk. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND SAFETY CONCERNS*** Recently attending s for a friends birthday and the bus ride was horrible.  The bus driver Dougless showed up in a 55 person bus (not the vehicle we booked).   He did not introduce himself, or inform us that we would NOT be able to play music loud enough for all to hear.  The 1st red flag was that he didn't have our itinerary and proceeded to drive in the wrong direction.  After redirecting him multiple times, he informed us that the vehicle was out of Deft.  Instead of dropping us off at the 1st location for our scheduled 330pm appt, he proceeded to go to 5 different gas stations looking for Deft.  When he couldn't find it, he was frustrated and angry, and finally got us to our 1st location 45 minutes late (we only had the reservation for 2 hrs and had paid $1000 to hold the tables which we clearly explained to him). Also, he did not deploy the step to get in an out of the bus once the entire trip which he never got out of the drivers seat to help anyone out of the bus since the step wasn't down.  After the 1st stop he then proceeded to drive us to our dinner location.  My husband had to spend the entire time standing next to him  because he couldn't figure out the directions and was very frustrated & confused (driving 30+ people). After dinner, on our way back home, we asked him to please play the music so we could hear it, he then stated that "we didn't book a party bus and that this was a shuttle bus!" - our friends husband booked a "party bus - it was her birthday!  This is where the night took a very SERIOUS turn.  He then proceeded to drive us home, and once again got lost (while on his phone scrolling Facebook- while driving), and took a turn into a residential neighborhood onto a narrow street after my husband had clearly told him the correct directions.  At this point, he tried to make a U-turn (in a 55 person bus) on a small dirt road.  Obviously, this was unsafe.  During this time, the lights were off, no music playing and he was yelling at all of us to "sit down and shut the f$%^ up!".  Yup those were his exact words. A number of us tried to explain to him that he couldn't make a U-Turn because there was a large ditch behind the bus, and suggested that he continue up the road.  He was so angry that he refused to listen to anyone.  We should have asked to get off the bus and find an alternate way home, but we were in a rural area w/o UBER service.  Once he was able to get back to the route, he proceeded to drive erratically over a very dangerous stretch of road a mountain pass to be exact and continued repeating " I am in my 70's, I am going to lose my job, my life is over." We asked him to slow down, he threatened to drive the bus off the cliff.  At this point, that person called 911 to report that the bus driver was driving erratically and had threatened to drive the bus off the road.  The 911 operator then walked her through how to take over the bus if it appeared that he was going to indeed drive us off of the cliff.  Thankfully we did make it home, but at no point in time should a bus driver threaten the lives of those on board!  Over the course of the next week, my friend and her husband had to fight Bobby (one of the managers) regarding receiving a full refund given that his driver, and his company, did not provide the services in the contract, and more importantly jeopardized our lives.  He seemed very unconcerned regarding the fact that his driver put our lives at risk and that the police were called.  Bottom line is that this company should not be in business with this kind of service!  Good luck! read more

For the most part, we had a pretty solid experience with True Elegance. We booked a party limo for a bachelorette party the weekend of Bottlerock. Gayle was excellent to work with - she was very helpful with sharing transportation options, giving specs and was flexible with the booking process. We booked our party bus in January for our event over Memorial Day weekend in May. About a week before our event, Gayle reached out to let us know that the original limo we chose was no longer available due to broken A/C and we were given an alternate vehicle. I appreciated the fact that they were able to provide an alternative vehicle and not leaving us stranded but it was definitely very disappointing to find out so close to the event and to have an alternate vehicle that was not similar to the one we original chose for our event. Our driver PJ was amazing though and took such great care of us. He was very professional and easy to communicate with and made sure we got to/from safely. Overall, the booking/payment process was pretty easy but it was just disappointing to have our vehicle switched on us last minute. read more

I'd like to give them no stars. Booked a trip a week out for two one way trips (drop off and pick up). The day before my scheduled pick up I got a strange call from a driver named Michael. He asked if I planned to compensate him for driving me a long distance one way. I said they had included a trip and round trip fees at booking. He said ok he would see me in the morning and not to tell dispatch he called me. Then at 8pm the same day I got an email saying my trip had been reassigned to a new chauffeur named Alex. I texted Alex to confirm he was our new driver and that he was actually picking us up. No answer. 5:30am I get a call from someone else in the company who said "sorry your new driver called in sick so we don't have anyone to take you. Sorry." And that was it. We were supposed to be picked up 7am. I guess I'm thankful I wasn't stranded at my destination trying to get home. Despite the last minute booking, True Elegance was able to exceed our expectations. We booked them for pick up and drop off for the groomsmen/bridesmaids between the separate Airbnbs and the wedding venue and despite the poor weather the day of, everything went smoothly. We got assigned the best limo driver in the world, Carla, who even went out of her way to purchase and gift three bottles of liquor at the request of the bride/groom with a handwritten card to accompany each. Id give them 0 stars if it was an option. We had a wedding in San Rafael today and they were suppose to be here at 2pm, 2:10 rolls around and I start calling because no one was here. I had gotten a phone call from Tanya to confirm our reservation and I had booked about a month out. I tried calling the driver PJ but the call went to voicemail numerous times. I called the company and was put on hold while they tried to reach the driver, 15 minutes later they get back on the phone to say they couldn't reach him either and that they didnt know what was going but that they could send another driver but it would be awhile I said we have 30 minutes to get to the wedding and hung up the phone. We had a great experience with Bobby and True Elegance. He picked our party of 6 up from our place in Danville/Blackhawk and took us up to Napa, well St. Helena to be exact, to celebrate my husband's 39th birthday. Bobby was so great. He was on time and even let my daughters climb in so they could see what the inside of a limo looks like. He taught me about the app Winery Finder and we were able to get 2 for 1 tastings at many wineries. Additionally, he surprised my husband with a bottle of Acacia for his birthday. Then while we were at Hall Wines, he picked up cupcakes and candles so we could sing happy birthday and have desert for the birthday boy. How sweet was that? After going to Hall, Farmstead and Elizabeth Spencer, Bobby took us back to Danville. It was a long day, and I'm sure he was exhausted but when he heard we were going out to pizza with our daughters for dinner, he offered to drive my husband and the girls to the restaurant so that the girls could ride in a limo!! Amidst email confusion over what vehicle I had reserved in my emails I decided to call. I was honestly frustrated as a few weeks earlier I had confirmed an SUV limo for a certain price. I received confirmation from another individual there. Apparently they had quoted a price for an SUV not SUV Limo. Which I had confirmed but apparently that was overlooked. Mind you for the first date I reserved a 23 passenger bus so you would think it was implied I had a lot of people for the second day. So I decided to call. James was rude and nonhelpful. He was adamant that 1000 for the second day was the best price he could do. Mind you I was already confirmed for the first day. So I decided to cancel. Which he was like "ok fine" no care in the world. Mind you this was a 2k contract and he refused any additional discount at least for my troubles and confusion around emails. So I decide to call back because honestly at this point I just wanted to book and not deal with looking for other places anymore. I was even going to just do the 1k for the second day. But JAMES was still rude. So rude that he HUNG UP ON ME. HE HUNG UP ON ME. I mean who does that? It was beyond disrespectful. I also sent the company an email on this. See pictures. Driving service was fine, however it took well over 2 week to get a refund. Apparently there was a clerical error on the service we received, but we were not aware even after I called to confirm price and time twice. I was then told that I would just have to deal with receiving half of my refund due to their error. The person on site was incredibly rude. After receiving my refund we then find out the driver forged a tip and signature by making the signature look like I was intoxicated, however the tip amount was clear as day not in my handwriting (I write my 2s different). I was refunded the full amounts on both end, however not without a large time lapse and terrible customer service. read more
