Love this salon! Let me preface with the fact that I kept my hair very long and only did trims from fear to trust a stylist to do a new style but Tehya absolutely killed it! Better than I envisioned and was so helpful with informing me how to style and products that would work the best with my cut and type of hair. I've been to her a couple times now. She's so sweet and professional. I had her cut my 5yr old daughter's hair as well and she did amazing with her. All the staff is so friendly and inviting. After getting a recommendation from an employee at Sephora, I made the drive 30 minutes away from my house to go get my haircut. Boy, was that a great idea! To start, the decor and rock 'n' roll characteristics of this place are beyond cool. Lots of vintage and classic rock/punk attributes. You don't see that a lot in hair salons and I love that everything is naturally itself here. Sydney is my new hairdresser and she did an outstanding job. She was real with me about what my hair would look like on a day-to-day basis with my cut. The kombucha treatment was off the hook. She gave me great advice to get soft hair and sent me home with a good product. True few is a salon that is not like the rest, no BS & exceptionally unique and raw in itself. I feel very hesitant is writing this review, but I don't know what else to do. I don't understand how I ended up with this haircut. A week ago, I made a haircut appointment at the salon. I used their texting option and it was very easy to schedule. I did not select the stylist since I had reviewed their website and Instagram and felt comfortable to go with any stylist available. Day of my appointment, I arrived on time and the stylist saw me promptly. In the consultation I requested that I would want more layers and texture, but very minimal off the length. I thought I had emphasized how important it was to keep the length of my hair. I felt like my stylist, Marc, understood and was on the same page as me. He began to dry cut my bangs, then gave me a wonderful shampoo. I love when a stylist doesn't skip out on a good scalp massage. But then the real cutting began. He started with the layers and confirmed with me that I indeed did want a lot of layers. He then also confirmed with me that I only wanted a small amount off the length. All to lead to the blow dry where I realized he had cut at least 4-5 inches off my length, if not more. I don't understand. I was polite and let him finish, he had another client waiting and I could tell was rushing. He then passed me off to another stylist to finish styling and cutting my bangs. When assessing my hair after, he did acknowledge that there was more length taken off then requested, but what really bothered me is he claimed it was because my hair was damaged. I know my hair was not damaged, but even if that was the case, why wouldn't he discuss that with me before cutting my hair? I felt like he was trying to justify it. I just feel like I received everything I didn't ask for. I don't even want to go back to get it "fixed" since that will just be more hair cut. Overall, it was not a great experience and I regret ever making the appointment. No one wants to cry after getting their hair done. But there's nothing that can be done but let it my hair grow back. read more

It wasn't an easy style to begin with but she went above and beyond. It stayed the whole night and was so beautiful! She not only is extremely talented, but the sweetest soul. She's the type of person you want to be best friends with! I would 1000% recommend Maria to do your wedding day hair. I also would recommend her as a hair stylist in general. She makes each person look like a work of art :) Now for the salon itself, it's a dope place. The people who work there are very kind and down to earth. The style itself is so awesome. Had a great first time experience here! After our appointment being canceled without notice at my regular place, I was in desperate need of a trim so I called a few places around Central Phoenix hoping for a same day appointment. The staff at True Few Hair Salon accommodated my friend and I right away! Upon arrival I did notice that nobody was wearing a face mask which surprised me but our stylist noticed we were wearing masks and put hers on right away and throughout the entire service.
