The salon came highly recommended. I don't think it was the salon. This was more of a stylist issue. I have short hair. I am frustrated because one side of my hair sticks up and I always have to mat it down. I made an appointment with Lelonni. I shared my vision. I wanted a pixie and I didn't care how much hair had to come off. She began to work on my hair and than realized she could not fix it and basically left that side the way it was. She seemed fearful of cutting more off even though I told her I wanted it super short. I was basically left with the same cut I came in with with a little bit of styling. She also raved about products I could use on my hair and than could not find then to sell them Hair looked great coming out of the salon, but it matters more the amount of time it will take to make it great. Good experience in the salon, but still disappointed that this is the third hair stylist I have tried (in other salons) and I still don't have the cut I want. read more

It's clear she lacks the proper training to perform the services offered here. When I ask for Rochelle, the salon owner, to step in and address the issue, she offers no help. It seems she only responds when the salon's reputation is questioned publicly, rather than taking responsibility for unprofessional or inadequate work. I Love this full service salon. I go to Dulce for massages and she is absolutely amazing! It's the most relaxing massage I've had but she also addresses my "problem" areas. I'm super picky who I go to for my hair and Jade did not disappoint! She got my blonde color exactly how I like it and cut it and styled it perfectly! And the best part is... she didn't gouge me on the price. Very affordable, especially since I have to go every 6 to 8 weeks for touch ups to maintain my color. This salon hires independent contractors so it may not reflect on everyone, however I booked a service here through ClassPass, planned my day around it, came in and waited an additional 30 minutes just to be told that individual doesn't deal with that booking website, and that even though I paid for it already I would have to figure it out because she doesn't deal with that website anymore and that this isn't the first time it's happened. So multiple people planning their days around a service coming to the location and wasting their TIME just to be told this and have them just wash their hands because they don't use the website. As a business owner one decides what services and booking platforms to use and therefore not allow your services/business to get sloppy and take appropriate measures to make sure clients time isn't wasted. We value the time of the people that service us for this. A little responsibility from the actual person that was supposed to provide the service (think it's Dulse) would've been nice instead of sending others to address the issue. Tacky. Dulse you're wasting people's time and money, because now I don't even know how to get a refund for a massage I paid ClassPass for already, and If I knew this was me, I would do more than just email ClassPass about the issue, I'd harass them to fix the problem that inconveniencing the crap out of potential clients, and clients for me always comes first. read more

I was a client of Ruben's for months at Rochelles Salon. I got "bumped" from my last appointment at the last minute so that Ruben could take an extended vacation. He didn't offer to have another stylist take me, nor did he work with me on rescheduling during a time that worked for my schedule. This tells me that Ruben CLEARLY does not value or appreciate my patronage, and I refuse to give my money to someone who doesn't respect his clients. Another negative aspect is that every single time I had an appointment with Ruben he was double-booked. So while he was working on my hair, he was running back and forth between another client. I was left waiting with drippy, wet hair for over 20 minutes because Ruben was taking care of another client. Ridiculous. He needs to go back to customer service training because his is horrible. Do not spend your hard-earned money here. Phoenix is loaded with much more talented hair stylists who will actually appreciate your time and service. Ruben Espinoza is not one of them. read more

She was able to squeeze me in just before Christmas day and I will definitely be going back to her! Rochelle does a great job cutting hair, and I'v been to some of the best stylists in the valley. She is also very personable and kind. So why two stars? The main receptionist, who is Rochelle's mom, is consistently unfriendly. It's just a really bad way to begin and end every salon visit. I don't think it's just me because I see her interact with the other clients the same way. Also, if you buy a gift certificate, beware the expiration date. I forgot to bring mine with me for several visits, so I could not use the rest of it it until later. It expired, and that was that. The receptionist was very matter-of-fact about it and totally unsympathetic. Interfacing with a cold receptionist/cashier at a salon and spa, where you expect a little warmth, is like a bucket of ice water. It's just not worth it to me. read more

I've lived in the Biltmore/Camelback Corridor area for some time and had always driven by Rochelle's but never stopped in. I finally got tired of my longtime hair dresser never listening to me and popped in one day. My only request for my first appointment was that I work with someone who is good with long hair (I'm like a modern-day Rapunzel, or Dee Snider if you prefer). I had my first appointment with Dania a couple of months ago, and I'm kicking myself for not visiting Rochelle's sooner! Dania is extremely skilled at what she does, and she's really just a treat to be around. I've been to see her three times now (once for a quick 'fix' because I'm picky, and she was all smiles to do so!) and I don't think I'll ever trust my hair to anyone else. I've gotten SO MANY compliments on my cut and color, it makes me wonder why I stayed at my old salon for so long... The salon itself is great, too. Much more modern and spacious than my old salon, with better music and magazines to boot (the important stuff, right?). I also love that they use Bumble & bumble products! Unfortunately, for a simple pedicure this salon charged me a "surprising" $50.00, which is probably 25 % higher than anywhere in Chicago or Phoenix. While the people are very nice and attentive, it won't overcome inflated prices. And when my pedicurist shares she only takes cash or checks--and I hand her 3 twenties, she says to me, "Do you need any change?" Who wants to give a $10.00 tip (no matter how nice) for a service that one is being overcharged with to begin with? I just didn't feel this pedicure was worth $60.00. This individual owned her own chair. Again, the people seemed nice and it was not busy at the time I arrived, but they need to reassess their pricing for pedicures at least. read more

My haircut is a boring boy haircut with little to no change. Go and see jonathyn who moved over here from E's Urban Salon. He is absolutely amazing. its magic i tell ya, MAGIC! yes he is the beauty evangelist. I have insanely thick, coarse hair that is impossible to detangle and straighten. I wanted some color and I am super picky about how my hair is styled and normally just get the hairdresser to just blow dry and I go home and style it. I mentioned my concerns to jonathyn and he just chuckled. Jonathyn styled it and my hair looked gorgeous! My husband who rarely ever compliments my hair, said he loved it! The color is fantastic and the style is gorgeous. He is also amazingly honest and i swear he has saved me thousands by preventing me from buying crap hair products/tools. My first experience with Rochelle's was great. My stylist did a great job and I left feeling very happy with my cut. I scheduled my next hair cut a month later with a different stylist as the one I worked with before was out of town. An hour before my appointment I was called and told that the stylist I had been scheduled with charged double for men's hair cuts and when I asked to reschedule they had nothing available. No offense to the stylist but I'm not paying north of $50 for a men's hair cut. It would have been nice to have been told when I first scheduled my appointment that the new stylist charged twice the normal amount. I also would have appreciated a greater effort to squeeze me in for a cut. Overall my stylist was great but Rochelle's front desk staff did a poor job and didn't seem to care. read more

I would like to thank Rochelle and her staff for making me feel so comfortable and safe in the salon yesterday. When I arrived my temperature was taken; I signed a release indicating that I was not sick or near anyone that has been diagnosed with COVID. As soon as I signed the document, the receptionist cleaned the pen with a disinfectant wipe. Jade disinfected my chair and the table, and as soon as she finished washing my hair, she quickly went back to the shampoo station and sanitized the chair that I was sitting in. Rochelle is my stylist who cuts my hair but have had others style too. Their nail techs are unique. Angela give me manicures and pedicures and is really good at them both. She uses quality products, best pedicure ever and just fun. This is a salon that has it all. I get my facials with Lindsay and massage with amazing Tina and I even buy boutique relax clothing from Lisa. Once you go there you will never go elsewhere.
