Well it's been about 5 months and he still hasn't come back. We've scheduled numerous times and he's never shown up. Endless excuses. He's out of town, car trouble, family sick, he's in Fresno or Vegas, can't get his crew together, ICE. He finally agreed to just refund me some money and of course the Venmo request hasn't been filled. Since I hired him, I see there have been others with similar issues. I brought up these other reviews and he dismissed them as "everyone always cry about something." And he doesn't care about reviews. When asked if he thought it was fair that he's been "rescheduling" for 5 months... crickets. Legal action is being pursued.

At that point, we had already given him 75% of the cost. At some point, he was not being up front about when he was going to be at my house to work on the yard. I had to text him every day to confirm whether or not he was coming. Even after I gave him more money! The sod was delayed and the project was prolonged for a few days. Not a big deal. However, Sal kept asking for more money with no explanation other than he has to pay his trailer. In the end, I paid him for "completing" the job. But it was nowhere near what we discussed. See the inspiration photo attached. You can also see in the photos that the "bushes" he planted were tiny and looked unhealthy. Some of them are dying and one even split in half. Fast forward to a month later, now in April 2023, There are large dry spots in my grass because the sprinklers used were not brand new and they are not covering the entire grass area. I've reached out to Sal to no avail. I'll just have to hire another guy to repair what was installed. I forgot to mention that he wanted to charge me $300 extra for black wood chips for the backyard. SMH I went to Lowe's and I could cover the yard for $100. It's terrible!

A week ago I asked Edgar to come over and remove a lot of plants and plant a small tree in my front yard and I would plant things. Every time Edgar gave me a price, I agreed, I never tried to make a deal and I always gave a little extra or tip. Edgar and 1 of his guys came by and did a great job. I mentioned I had two light fixtures to be swapped out and needed more ground cover. He said he would get me the ground cover and change the lights the following day. I called the next morning and Edgar told me he would be by at 4pm. 4pm and all day Friday, no Edgar, no call. Saturday morning I called and left a voicemail asking what happened and when should I expect him. Nothing, so a few hours later, I sent a text asking what happened. Again no return call or text. I let Sunday pass and then decided on Monday to go on Yelp and send a request. After about 25 minutes he called me. When I asked what happened, Edgar stated " I got busy." I told him that I left a voicemail and a text, he again replied, "Well, I got busy." I told him that I can understand busy, but a no show, no call, no text was upsetting. He had no response. I told him that I have been happy with his work and that this was unlike him and I thought something bad happened. Crickets..... I told him that I felt uneasy about hiring him for a couple future projects if I can't rely on him, to which he replied, "it won't happen again." He asked if I wanted him to come by that day to change the lights, I said no, I did it myself. I thanked him and hung up the phone. After giving Edgar two 5 star reviews for previous work, I have to change my over all review to a 2. No show, no return call, no return text, and most importantly, no apology. I have read several other reviews stating similar issues with Edgar. Reliability still means something and the I was busy comment was upsetting, especially since I thought I had been a good customer.
