For context: We really like wine and have been to Napa and Sonoma, but also have had a LOT of wine from Michigan and Indiana. We prefer dry, but Midwest is known for sweet. We found these whites to be VERY good. Most grapes used here were engineered at the University of Minnesota--varietals like Frontenac. The wines are hard to describe... and come at every level of dry/semi/sweet... with a special character that is different from your standard Riesling/Traminette. We walked away with four bottles: Itasca, St. Pepin, Brianna and Bashful Blonde. (In the winter we may have made different choices) If you are looking for a spot that is 0% pretentious and %100 excellent... this is it. We will be back every summer.
