This is a lot more than I've ever paid for a hair cut, but I liked the convenience of booking online and didn't want to call around for availability. So my hair got washed, dried out, then straightened, and finally cut. I asked for a straight cut along the back and layers. It's been a long time, maybe four years or so since my last hair cut because I had bad experiences when I went with my mom out to the salon so I know I have plenty of split ends. I wanted layers to help get rid of some of the extra split ends and I felt layers would help justify the extra cost. She didn't ask how long it's been since my last hair cut, but asked about if I went to bed with wet hair and if I had well water. I do sometimes go to bed with wet hair but I use tons of conditioner. We have filters on our well water. It was weird since the length of time since my last hair cut would be the biggest factor in split ends, especially since I used to have layers kind of high up. She declined to put in layers as she felt my hair needed to recover more and get more density. The salon is pretty open airy and seemed well kept. I also didn't like that they asked if I wanted to tip out loud at the end. I've never even been asked if I wanted to tip after a hair cut, especially an expensive one. I did tip a bit since I felt put on the spot. My stylist was very friendly and surprisingly fast. I was in and out of the hair salon in under 30 minutes. The stylists were all very chatty and it seemed like they enjoyed their work. They are very inquisitive. I appreciate that the areas seemed cleaned well and felt hygienic. My haircut came out decent and was badly needed since my hair was really long. I agreed to get more cut off than I wanted to as I'm hoping she's right and that it'll be healthier for my hair. Overall it was an okay experience. Since it was much better than my previous experiences I'll try to get a hair cut sooner than this time.

Taking into consideration the fact that there were probably 6 to 7 other people in the building plus customers this was very upsetting. aside from that my nail shape was wrong as you can obviously see in the pictures and a bit uneven at places. The design that I wanted was botched completely. You can clearly see that the lines on the French tips that I got are uneven and also that my cuticles were cut too far back as they are bleeding in the picture that I attached. on top of all of this my polish lasted all by the day before peeling off. I did half of what I normally would at work and avoided most heavy labor and still had two major chips in my nails that ended up just peeling off completely. I paid about $80 for this and honestly wasn't even going to complain until my polish chipped off. I really had high hopes for the salon but it was let down ultimately. She gave me a quick tour of the salon and then got started. She really took her time with my hair, she used several products, but I never felt like she was pressuring me to purchase them. I also received a great Shellac Manicure also by Marcine. Both the hair cut and the manicure were priced well under what I've been paying. Everyone in the salon was super helpful and friendly. **Be aware, though, that you CAN pay with your debit/credit card, but you CAN'T leave a tip that way, so think ahead and bring cash along!!
