Didn't want athletic or velcro-closure shoes; we were looking for slip-on canvas shoes (and, no, we didn't want Van's since we've had a horrible experience with their quality and durability). Saw that Gymboree carried this style of shoes but they didn't have his size at the mall. Finding a Gymboree outlet was sweet! Excellent selection of both BOYS (yes, boys!) and girls clothing. And shoes! Store is clean and nicely organized. Excellent customer service, too. Shout out to Tangie who went above and beyond to help us locate the size and styling we needed. She was so helpful in assisting us find a second pair as well. Prices were great, and as stated, selection was superb. Hard to find a children's clothing store that stocks a good selection of clothing for boys. This store had it. I just wish it were a bit closer, but driving here via the Grand Parkway makes the trip much quicker and more tolerable (at least from my part of town). I will be back, that is for certain.

Also, I only shop when there is sale and use coupons so I normally get their clothes for less than I would spend at the 3 places listed above. I have Gymboree hand me downs from my nieces and my daughter is the third child to wear them and they still look great. The outlet store has the same stuff and the regular stores and items that were in the regular stores last year. You can get items shipped to the store for free if it is not available in the store but is available online, and I have always had great service at Gymboree stores. Tip: parenting magazines often have a 20% off coupon in each issue.

Barbie agrees…read more So this is a brand new Old Navy store that's basically right next door to the Houston Premium Outlets across the street from them on the north side of 290. I've never been a massive fan of Old Navy if I'm being completely honest. There's just something about this store that seems too preppy and family-oriented and not edgy and fun enough. They're kind of expensive too, and this particular store seems to be lacking in a little bit of customer service, or not enough employees, or something else probably because it's so new. Many of the other stores in this Plaza also have the same problem. Another thing I will say is that with the Premium Outlets just next door, it almost seems a waste to have this right here, because you're almost certainly going to find cheaper stuff at the outlets.

But in other regards I still don't find it to be very cheap or even decently priced for the most part. Since Barbie has a new member of the family, of the miniature toddler variety, we've been shopping a lot for that kind of very young children's clothing and baby stuff. We've now been to two of the Carters locations in the north suburbs, and between the two of them I would say that the outlet mall (Cypress version) has better prices and that the one in The Woodlands/Spring/Conroe has the better customer service. But both of them were a little too expensive for us and so it's hard to give them five stars or anything close to it considering that the deals are a little out of our price range, and I would imagine out of others' price ranges too.

It was a Tuesday afternoon and not busy this time. Someone did ask me if I needed help finding anything and even explained the sales and clearance section. Another great year for National Outlet Day!…read more The bags keep getting cuter! Mark this weekend on your calendar as an annual holiday! All you hav it do is sign up and you receive a lovely reusable bag. Last year my bag was orange and this year it's irredecent with pink handles. They provide a DJ and DIY photo station. They also provide a balloon booth for kids. You also, get a list of participating stores that offer a discount for this weekend as well. Some stores offer great value and others just have a glass of champagne. Can't wait to next year!

It is really quite large with a diverse type of stores represented, there are over 140 so there are a lot to shop at. The mall is an open one so might not be the best place to shop on a rainy day or when Houston summer temperatures are up around 100 degrees. There are several sets of high covered rooftops over the walkways but not everywhere so in the rain, you might be dodging some raindrops. In the end I had a good walk around, some stores were already closed for the evening, I think this center gets most traffic in the day time and especially on weekends. But it was nice to have a walk around and look inside store windows at the merchandise for sale.
