I had a very disappointing experience at the True Religion store in Gilroy, CA. While shopping, an employee (man in picture, old picture off YELP) approached me and told me pets aren't allowed in the store. I calmly explained that my dog is a service animal, and she was in a stroller and very well-behaved. I had already walked past two other employees and made it halfway through the store without any issue, so this felt inconsistent and targeted. The employee then demanded "proof" or an ID for my service dog. I informed him that under the ADA, businesses are not allowed to request documentation for a service animal. Despite this, he dismissed what I said and still told me to leave. This situation was not only frustrating but also concerning, as it shows a lack of basic understanding of ADA regulations and how to properly interact with customers who rely on service animals. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I hope management takes the time to properly train their staff on ADA laws and respectful customer interaction, so others don't have to go through a similar experience. read more

Wow! looking back at old reviews and people have been complaining about the manager and employees for years. Seems like they dont really care. went to return an online purchase. the employee and manager said they dont do returns for online purchases. i mentioned that i had done so about a month back at the livermore outlet, these guys didnt care. i pulled up the company return policy on the phone. the manager had one look at it and rudely said he still wont do it. he added he is done doing business with me and that i should leave. totally rude and unprofessional. went to the great mall outlet and did the return. read more

It's so funny that as soon as I got to this page I see everyone gets terrible treatment from Pete the manager. I reached out to True Religion directly to see if the issues can be amended. He's a horrible representative for the brand and really angry without reason. His attitude is so poor that customers literally take the time to yelp to warn other people it's really that bad. It's good idk why people say it's bad but it's honeslry good I've gotten some stuff there, one time i had to exchange a size thst gave me no problem one of the hoodies i was exchanging they didn't have that hoodie my size BUT the person who was letting me exchange some guy with a beard *cool guy* he let me get any other hoodie and i ended up getting a more expensive one and i made sure if it was okay and he was chill about it so that was Amazing. I had a terrible experience at this store !manager Pete was very unprofessional. The store was closed for an hour during business hours. He was very rude. When I asked what time was he going to reopen the store? his response was can you let me eat? I will open the store in 10 minutes. He finally opened. I was disappointed on Christmas day to find out that my son had a few less Christmas presents due to missing items that I paid for. Back in November I came in to true religion and purchased almost five hundred dollars in merchandise. I bought two pairs of Jean's, two sweaters, two tshirts, underwear and socks, back pack. He rang me up and I put my bags in the trunk of my car. When I got back home It was clear that eighty dollars in tshirts were not in the bag. I had already wrapped my other gifts when I noticed the missing items that I payed for. After talking to manager who says she checked her videos and she said she saw items being placed in my bags. I figured maybe I wrapped them with the sweaters. On Christmas day I realized they were not with the sweaters and somehow they never made it home. I'm honestly disappointed and would love to know where those tshirts ended up, they did not end up coming home with me. I wont be purchasing anything there in the future. read more

Now today I came in the morning and everything's locked up tight and it's already 11. This store has lazy employees who don't know how to work. It's loosing business. I swear this place is awesome. True Religion and "true" customer service! Walked in and was greeted by a nice guy (I believe his name was Issiah or Issiac). This dude was definitely down to earth. He was extremely nice and got back to me on all the questions I have in the store. He also recommended some nice stuff and double checked on prices for me. I was interested in the True Religion white jeans. Something that not many companies make. He told me to get them, but I was hesitant because of the price on the tag. I told him, "Dude, the price is like retail on that... no mark down." He replied with, "That pair is $129.99." I said, "Are you sure?" He said, "Yes... Let me scan it in to make sure." Indeed it was the price he said. SCORE! Had another inquiry on a boot cut style where the jeans were a darker blue with painted white horseshoe shaped "U", I asked him if the dark color of the jeans would transfer the color over to the painted white brand mark. He said, "Not too sure, but it seems like a lot of them have a blue tint to them. If your insecure, check out the painted ones that are in grey." Definitely for the customer service at this location. Nothing you need to worry about. I suggest you check the store from the back to the front. Sometimes you might find some pretty good deals on those non-classic styles that are placed in the special sale section. Those contrast stitched jeans (the ones where the stitching are in a different color than the jeans), that are usually price higher would be heavily discounted! Also, I recommend double checking the size on the jeans from the tag that stitched onto the inside of the jeans. They are the "true" size... Sometimes the sticker on the jeans aren't the same as the marked size on the tag (BE CAREFUL, since sales are final at outlet shops). Also, if you want anything... Get the style and call them to let them know your coming for it. They will hold it for you, or even work something out for you. They will also let you know what will go on sale, etc. Oh, too bad they don't give those cute tiny True Religion water bottles for their customers back when they first opened! Thanks guys! read more

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at the True Religion store in Gilroy on January 4. To my disbelief, they informed me that their dressing rooms would be closed until the end of January. As a customer ready to spend thousands of dollars on jeans for both myself and my son, I was appalled by this inconvenience. Seven jeans, with their accommodating fitting room policy, gladly received my business instead. True Religion in Gilroy needs to prioritize customer satisfaction and convenience if they wish to retain loyal customers. The store was completely empty with about six employees doing nothing. Owning a business myself it helps me understand. I want to implement policies that benefit my customers not frustrate them. I understand during the holiday season that would be completely acceptable but here we are almost 2 weeks after and the store completely empty yet they still have the doors closed to paying customers during a very slow point. ‍ read more

Its a small store. Shirts are $20 which is a great deal! WARNING: they took out the kids section so now its just mens and womens. The workers are nice and attentive. FINAL SALE too. Jeans are still pricey but they are in the low 100s compared to non outlet stores. I came here for a size small shirt and the shirts tables where all messy , unorganized, and in huge piles. I asked a worker where the size smalls would be and he said "they all would be mixed up in in these messy tables" go figure its an outlet store. After an hour of searching for a cute shirt i finally found 2 cute shirts in my size. Overall this trip was worth the 45 minute drive from San Jose to Gilroy. Selection on clothes and merchandise organization could be better tho. read more

I love True Religion...and for an outlet to exist makes my shopping experience so much better! I've been in here on 2 separate occasions. The first time was the second day the store opened. I had the GREATEST service ever! I wish I knew the name of the girl that helped me out but oh, she was so sweet and personable! I wonder if they get commission though because their service was on-point and lucky her...took a whopping $600 out of my pocket :( The second time I came was on Black Friday morning and the service was mediocre. I didn't get any help but what I noticed was that the workers gossip WAY TOO MUCH...to the point where they look like they're talking crap about their customers. When I went to go pay for my jeans, the cashier lady said to me... "Would you like to get a sweater for blabla off or any t-shirts? They are blabla off" Me: "No :) Thank you" "Really? Haha...I think it's funny that you drove all the way here just to get 2 pairs of jeans....." I just turned to my boyfriend and gave him a "Wtf"-laugh. Uh, talk about RUDE! If that's the way their employees are trained to up-sell then she needs to take a lesson or two on doing so in a more nice and respectful way cause I was about to pull out my cattiness on her! The door was locked and all the employees gave us a blank stare until my friend pointed and that's when the guy at the register nodded his head no. I understand you guys hate when ppl come in last min, but a store who closes 10 mins early(probably even longer than that)has bad customer service! True Religion are my favorite jeans, they fit, they flatter, they're great quality, but, all of that comes with a price! This is where the TR outlet comes in! While they offer some of the same jeans you see in department stores, they also have their own line, which aren't guys' names (Billy, Joey, Tony, etc) but are very basic-flare, skinny, etc. Their t-shirts, hoodies and jackets are great too! I love the thick, fluffy fabric of their sweat material hoodies! They carry men's jeans, shirts and jackets here as well as children's jeans and tops. In general, I find outlets to be about 25% less than department/brand stores, with the exception of their coupons & clearances which are where the real savings are to be had. They offered some t-shirts w/their "U" logo on them for $20 as opposed to approx $55 in their retail store. They do get past season items from their stores and the items in both places have very high turn over-they sell out quickly. With that said, if you see something you like, better to buy it and know that you can return in later if you change your mind. Service was helpful and they were willing to assist you with finding sizes or anything else you needed. Isaiah was really knowledgeable of the product line and knew what stock was in the store. Always a plus! They are willing to call you if you're looking for something specific or to let you know of special events, sales, etc. I recommend calling them if you're looking for something specific, because it could be here and you can potentially save a lot of money buying it here. I was told they would ship items to you if you don't live in the area or can't make it to Gilroy. If they refer you to their website, know the prices there aren't the same as in this outlet, they are full retail price. I will return to Gilroy for this store and will check here first when I see TR items I like! It's nice to save money while getting great products! read more

Came here to buy some denim. Staff wasn't really helpful at all. They did not offer any suggestions or tried to help me. My cousin was a better sales person than them. He was bringing me other sizes to my dressing room and different styles to try on. The service wasn't all that great. They get negative 1 star. I did find a very good selection of denim. And walked out with 3 pairs and some tees. And that's why they get 2 stars. Don't expect to get great customer service here. read more

Clothing reduced from Overpriced down to semi overpriced-fiar... I'll take it! I buy clothes here for my girls because it is a brand they like, that delivers on quality depending on the item - so check the thickness of the material. They usually have most of the sizes which is unique for an outlet store and offer a decent selection in men and womens. Would recommend if you like the brand. Sometimes the clothes are outdated in my opinion, but that is my own of the brand; shop here if it's your style. read more

I got the worse experience today in this store EVER!!!!! My sister and I came in looking to buy some jeans for ourselves and some for gifts. The girl that help us were really nice but the guys were RUDE. They think they own the store and harrass customers just to get sales. They saw us w/ lots of jeans on hand and wanted to get the sales so they kept harrassing us. Even after we told them that we told them that we had someone help us already. As I told them to give us some space to shop, they went off talking to other and laugh right in front of us (customers). how unprofessional was that?? As I comfronted them, they gained up and acted like they were going to kick our *ss. They said that if we don't like their services then leave. WOW...we were shock and didn't expecting service like that in a high end products. We left and felt bad for our nice rep that she lost her $1k sales. I would like to start by saying that I go in to the Gilroy store quite often and I always get the best service. The staff is very nice and very easy to talk to, it seems like a great place to work and everyone is always having a good time. I would like to comment on the comment left from Tracee P. I was there the day your situation occurred and I do have to say that your story is a little bit more in your favor. They might have asked you more than once if you were still doing ok but that is no reason to blow up on the gentlemen that helped you. I would much rather be assisted more than once than ignored when I am shopping in a store. As for the comment the two guys were gonna kick your A**, that did not happen the manager was trying to control the situation as you were raising your voice in the middle of the store and everyone was watching including my 3 year old daughter. the part you forgot to mention is when you and your friend walked out of the store flipping the two guys off and using foul language.
