I always received the worst customer service from Randolph Mendoza in this location. He is rude to customer, does not ask you for the rewards number, always in a bad mood. OMG if I was not on a time constraint (getting to the Plumed Horse in an hour) I would have spent some more time... This Ann Taylor Factory Store is not unlike the other Ann Taylor outlet stores. Cloth, sale, discount and clearance are all the same, what's different is the terrible service. A simple cashier transaction of 2 tops.... the most basic transaction in any clothing store took over 30 minutes. (Not including the long line which I understand no one can control). In the middle of ringing up my 2 items, the associate went on to a second cash register to help the person behind me. I then asked her if the credit card machine is ready for me to insert my card, she ignored me didn't answer. So I inserted my credit card, and waited and waited and waited. She continues to ring-up the person behind me, starts a conversation, and completely ignores me. After 5-10 minutes, I asked what is going on. She then looks at first cash register and said "oh you didn't insert the card at the right time, it wasn't ready. Do it now" to which I replied "I did ask you." Of course by then she was back at 2nd register chatting it up with customer behind me. Another 5-10 more minutes into their conversation, the associate took the bag with the 2 tops I just purchased to hand over to that customer. Who does that? I had to raise my voice "No those are mine. What's taking so long here?" To which she hits a key on the first register and receipt prints out. All this time chatting away, making me wait, almost giving them away. The entire transaction took almost 30 minutes. The other associates were not like her, during my one transaction, the other associate rang up 3 customers and almost completed the 4th. This location has a HUGE sale section. I can easily spend 30 minutes just looking at the sale stuff. Prices are around 50% off and they definitely have many options to choose from. While I can appreciate that this location has a 'petite' section, I hardly ever find something that I want. The sizes fit fine and are consistent, but I find that many of the styles end up being unflattering or just look "weird." During the times that I've been (on weekdays), there aren't very many employees around. But that doesn't bother me since the store has a good layout and I can find my way around. I do wish they kept the store a bit more tidy and organized. If the sale items were sized correctly, it would save a lot of time (rather than having to look through everything). read more

It was 100 degrees in the shade in Gilroy, and my wife shopped here because Ann Taylor keeps their doors closed to conserve energy. I'm glad the Kasper Outlet closed. The store has a nice selection but once you pick out what you want you will wait in line forever. They push the credit card even with a line of people waiting for just to cashiers. They kept saying "thanks for waiting" but after the 3rd or 4th time how about speeding up or asking the girl folding clothes on the floor to help. After waiting almost 20 minutes and moving up 1 person I gave up and left. They lost a $250-$300 sale. read more

This is the best Ann Taylor Factory Store I've ever been in. For almost 15 years I've been going up and down California highways and freeways, and this store is on my way. They have ample parking, although frequently full. They have a most handy and nice doggy park in the middle of the parking lot which is essential when I need to stop with two little dogs for a pee pee stop for them, and me. They have large, clean bathrooms all over the factor store areas, and this AT store plus the Loft in another section are the best stocked. I always find things at this AT Store you cannot get online, nor in the retail stores. That is if you can FIND a retail store. Every AT store in my area has either closed or will close soon. I love this Ann Taylor store. Lucky for me, the day I was here a lot of there items were 60% off. Size 6'slacks is definitely a hard find. But I found two nice wool blend pairs that I purchased. Came along with the madre during a Gilroy outlet visit, and the store is kept fairly well, lots of items. However, the service at the front counter could use some fine tuning. When you find things on sale, it's definitely worth it. You can find great deals. Buying something "full-price?" Thinking it's cheaper then the regular store? WATCH OUT. If the label has two dots under the word Ann Taylor, it is a item of clothing made for the factory store and not for the regular store. I'd have to say that the selection at this store was amazing. There were so many racks filled with sale items that it took us forever and a day to go through one section. My girl friend and I came to the outlets on a Monday afternoon, so we didn't have to fight a crowd. The sales associates were really friendly and would check up on us from time to time to see if we needed help looking for sizes. We actually didn't end up buying too much from this store, but from the items we purchased, we saved ourselves 50% off or so. This is definitely a place to go to if you're looking for good quality business casual clothing for work. read more

Do they have cute clothes? Yes. But the girls who work here are beyond rude. There is little to no customer service here. Last time I came with my son, he's 5 and very well behaved. One of the girls practically yelled at home for touching the jewelry and when she did that it startled him and his hand jerked. So I ran over to help him. I looked at that girl (the manager apparently) and said, do not yell at my son. She replied with, "if he breaks something we have to pay for it". To which I said, he's touching it, if it breaks from touching you got bigger problems. Then she said plus he almost knocked it over... I said, that was your fault because you yelled at him!!! I have never had anyone be so rude. I asked the girl at the front if I could speak to a manager and she said that is the manager". I seriously almost got a corporate biker. I get people have stressful days but if you wanna yell at someone yell at me, not my son! So I waited several months before I went back. I'm waiting to reserve judgement until after today. read more

Not my favorite store for clothing, but it works in terms of work clothing and once in awhile a few basic cotton shirts. Regardless this place gets 5 stars because I scored on suits for work at $119 a suit! You can't get better than that. 6 suits, 6 thin cardigans/v necks for under the suits, 3 sleeveless sweaters, 10 tank tops, 5 cotton scoop necks, all for under $1100. May not be the cutest clothing I own, but at least I feel like a grown up! read more

I love Ann Taylor clothing because it fits me perfectly! Their sizes are consistent, so I don't have to try things on...I just BUY!!! I have a curvy post-baby body and these clothes make me look great. (That's just my opinion). I love the outlet because I can get slacks for cheap. I have 50+ pairs of slacks ( ok...I'm a shop-a-holic) and 90% of them are Ann Taylor. Since I'm only 5'5" (tall by asian standards) I always have to have the slacks hemmed. But, the extra few bucks is worth it since I save so much in the first place. If they had this store at the Great Mall, then I would never need to leave Milpitas. But, since it's not, I'm willing to drive all that way just for this store. read more

The Ann Taylor Factory store is equivalent to the Ann Taylor Loft retail store. Clothing quality and prices are about the same. You can find some great deals here... depending on the time of year, day of week, etc. Don't waste your time at the nearby LOFT Factory store - the quality is way lower than the retail store... similar to Old Navy, mostly cotton-based clothes. The clothes at the factory store are a completely different line those at the retail shop... so you're not really getting a comparable "deal". read more

Great store with a lot of variety in professional attire for the ladies. Styles and fashion are for older women, or those women who work in places that require conservative semi-professional outfits. They have womens sizes from 0-16 and XS-XL. They have petite sizes as well. The scarfs they sell usually match the current blouses & outfits in stock. There is a nice section near the registers that has jewelry and hair accessories. One nice touch they add is to place your purchased jewelry in separate plastic bags- so it does not get all tangled up. read more

I normally love this store. They have taken forever to open back up after the Shelter in Place closing, and are finally open. Store looks great, lots of sales, but they won't let you try anything on. Macy's will, Talbot's will, Chico's will, White House Black Market will. So I put down my armful of clothes and left. I understand that each corporation gets to set their own rules, but this is overly cautious. I saw many other people doing the same thing. Im disappointed in this store - the manager was talking to its associate about how slow the weekend is going while there was a line of people waiting to purchase. They only had one register working (and this register was opening up a credit card for a customer so it was holding up the line) while they were chitchatting about how they were going to figure out the day. Was there last weekend. Picked up some pieces and wanted to try them on. The staffs in the fitting room were chatting. They was me with clothes in my arms and did nothing. Finally some customer told me if the drapes of the fitting room is opened you can use it, which I did. And half way undressed, the staff came knocking and said the room was not available and was about to pull back the drapes (a woman had her pair of pants inside) and I had to scramble to dress back. (Yes I saw a pair of pants but thought someone tried them on and left them there). That was the worst experience I've ever had. And no, none of the staff stopped me when I went into the fitting room. read more

Pricing games..if you shop during the week, especially when there is no holiday to speak of you can expect 25% off their $79 slacks. If you shop on the weekends you can expect 40% off. Their costume jewelery is pretty but pricey for questionable quality. They also have a small selecton of shoes. The end of season sales are the greatest deal. I came back here today and was not impressed. I found the size selection to be very limited, particularly in the suiting section. Lots of 00s, 0s and 2s and lots of 14s, 16s and 18s but hardly anything in between. The whole point of coming to an outlet mall is to have discounted merchandise in a full range of sizes. If I wanted a picked over selection of the less popular sizes, I'd just hit the sales in the regular store. I do think prices are good (and again, they had a huge 50% off everything promotion) but that doesn't do me any good if they don't have my size in anything. read more

OK well I did hit this place on a 60% off day and so I was disposed to be pleased but never did I expect a saleslady who helped me more than my mother would have and my mother is the only person who ever could help me pick out clothes. SHANNON breezed about making perfectly spot-on suggestions, whizzed around finding substitutions and brought me great options, often better than my original choices. She was frank too. The size 8 was "too big-- it is going to wrinkle" and she brought me a similar size 6 in wool pants which I couldn't deny actually did fit much better. I love this store. I am 5'1 and I can always find something here, and it actually fits. I do buy some items at the regular Ann Taylor on line or at the mall, but they have a much better selection of petites at this outlet than at the regular Ann Taylor. They have a lot of trendy yet timeless things, so if you aren't into wearing leggings and a crop top with your belly button hanging out, you can still find great clothes that won't make you look stodgy. And their sales are really good! The quality of the clothes are reasonable for the price. I've always found the staff to be helpful too. And if something is not there in your size they will check other Ann Taylor outlets to find it, and send it to your home. You CANNOT return clothes here that were ordered from Ann Taylor on line, or purchased in the regular stores (I suspect that most people know that, but just in case...). read more

I love Ann Taylor. I went to Gilroy to shop with my Auntie visiting from Canada and my new born (Its my 1st time to shop here so I was really excited). Its an hour drive away from where we live. I bought pare of really cute shorts. I paid $81 for the 2 pairs I got. I really love the shorts, so wen I got home I took the tag and throw away the receipts. After I wore them I realized the pants are defective. I called customer service and says I can return it to any AT store, no receipt is ok since I use my AT Master Card they can look uo my transaction. So I went to store close to where we live and I was told I have to return it to Gilroy. So few weeks later had to drive down to Gilroy to return the item. Gilroy Employee was nice to take care of me, I am disappointed the refund they gave me was only $31, I was told that the shorts has on sale. I told the employee how much I paid and I even brought my CC bill to show them how much I paid. But they said "sorry we cannot look up your transaction unfortunately we don't have that type of software". The cashier that ring me up during my purchase did not bill me with the correct price. My mistake was I did not pay attention my final price I paid, I was distracted with my baby. I am so disappointed, the cashier insisted i bought something else aside from the 2 shorts which I didn't.. I feel like the store took $50 from me. I've been in Sales and handle customer service for a longtime and I know if they want to help me, they can trace previous transaction since I have the date and time of the transaction. Anyways lesson learn for me. But I don't think Ill be shopping for Ann Taylor for awhile after my bad experience. read more

This place is aweful! The fitting rooms smell really bad, There was not one customer service person to help me. There was a manager at the register who was really rude, not just to me but the one cashier she was "repremending" right in front of the customers! I did find one shrit here, but the clothes are cheap poly, and are rather exspensive for synthetic material. I will NEVER shop here again! read more
