I came here for brow and lip shading. Her studio is cute very chic with a pink aesthetic. She had me lie down and applied numbing cream before starting. However, one thing I noticed was that she didn't wash or sanitize her hands first. She immediately put on gloves, checked my brows, and proceeded with the numbing cream. At the beginning the pain was tolerable but after about 30 minutes, I started feeling it more. I didn't say much at first because I could still handle it. However, the entire brow process took around 3 hours, and during that time I kept telling her it was very painful. I had asked her beforehand if the procedure was painless, and she said yes because she uses numbing cream but honestly, it didn't help much. I've been to three other artists before and was even able to sleep during my appointments. With her, I couldn't relax at all. After that, she started on my lips, which was even more painful and took another two hours. It hurt even more than my brows. At one point she said, "no pain, no gain." By then, I was exhausted and just wanted it to be over. She had to reapply numbing cream about five times. My lips became so numb afterward that it almost felt like I had lip filler because I couldn't feel anything at all. Overall, I'll give her credit because my brows turned out okay, but the experience itself was very difficult. I'm still not exactly sure what she did. She said it was not Microblading, but something else. The expectation is that my eyebrows and my liner would last at least two years. Thuy was very informative, explained the process of Permanente eye liner and as well as my comfort. I am very happy with the services I reciever for both my sessions with her. The first session, I had a thin tattoo eyeliner and over the corse of a few more weeks I wanted to for sure go thicker on the lining. A hidden gem in Walnut Creek! I can't imagine getting my nails done anywhere else now. Amy is the owner there and does an amazing job. Most times she's by herself at the salon so it's like you're getting private nail service - no loud conversations and no juggling between clients, you're just there to enjoy the soothing music and a good massage chair. The gel mani I get there always lasts at least 3-4 weeks because Amy does a thorough job. She is very good at shaping the cuticles and make your nails pretty, she also suggests colors you don't normally think of but end up loving it! She's an artist. After she removes all the hair she cleans everything up making it less prone to in-growns and I have already noticed a difference in my skin down there. (Eyelash Extensions) Amy did my second eyelash extensions- I was super hesitant to get extensions because I do not like the super dramatic look and am scared of having a bad eyelash job since I already like my eyelashes. Amy is the best!!! She knows what she is doing. I have already been to her couple times for Brazilian sugaring and she is truly great at what she does. She is so thorough with the job and she also takes time to educate you on how to exfoliate and moisturize the area to keep those ingrowns from coming back. Also, she takes time getting rid of those ingrown down there (from waxing) which is a plus so you are left leaving the place very satisfied. Very hard to find. Poor customer service! I see why they are in need of Groupon's help ( the only reason I came here). I bought a groupon for gel manicure so I called and set up an appointment and requested both gel manicure and regular pedicure. I told them I would be on my lunch break (1hr 30 mins long). I get to WC, find parking which took forever, paid for parking and walk in on time only to find one person working to top it off she was barely beginning a pedicure on on another customer. She tells me to pick colors and she'll be with me shortly (lies). I pick colors and wait for 15 mins when another customer walks in early for her appointment at 1:45pm requesting if she can be seen earlier. Of course the lady told her no and to return at 2pm. That customer said her appointment is at 1:45pm so she expects to be seen at 1:45. The lady stays quiet and that customer walks out. The lady then turns to me and says I can only do what your groupon purchase is for (with no sympathy what so ever). I was so confused and upset of the treatment I received by this lady. I ended up walking out as i had already wasted 20 mins and she was no where near done with the pedicure. I will need to get a refund bc that was unacceptable. read more
