I've never had microneedling before, but she really pulled out all stops for my stubborn hormonal acne, educated me on the process, what to expect, how to maintain results, and talked me through the entire process. My skin now looks so amazing. Acne is clearing up (I had one very large cystic that stayed for 3 weeks that's now gone), and I was so surprised to see how much my pores shrunk as well. I was so excited for my first facial experience here until I walked in unfortunately. I was expecting a warm welcome but the receptionist that day didn't smile nor have a welcoming presence. I made an appointment for a chemical peel. I specified in my review and in person that I wanted a chemical peel only on my forehead and around my mouth/chin but not on my cheeks because I have rosacea with sensitive skin there that gets extremely red even if I just wash my face. I also specified that I had done at-home 15% TCA peels so I was not new to chemical peels. I told her that my specific concerns were getting rid of sun damage spots, a tan, and wrinkles that were only on those parts of my face. (Since I wear foundation only on my cheeks, my cheeks were paler than the rest of my face. I wanted the peel partially to even out the skin.) Initially Dominique tried to tell me that I shouldn't do a chemical peel that excluded my cheeks because it might not give the results I wanted and it might be hard to keep the peel off the cheeks. I thought at this point that it was nice for a professional to tell me straight up what would or wouldn't work. I had done peels only on my forehead before and didn't have any issues. She at some point tried to tell me that I should include the peel on my cheeks too, and I told her that I have rosacea and that they get extremely red (like lobster red) from cheek to jawline when i just wash my face, that I just spend $450 on a laser to reduce the redness, and that I did not want to flare up my skin worse since that part of my face was extremely sensitive. She looked at my skin and said they look more like broken capillaries than rosacea. I understand that she's a professional, but I have had type 1 rosacea all of my life and I know how my skin reacts. I felt that putting the peel on my cheeks would give much worse results than just putting it on my forehead and around my mouth and chin. She asked if I wanted to try microneedling instead. I said no, since I had not heard about that doing anything for sun damage spots and tans. She said that I would have to do skincare first for 2 weeks before doing the peel. She told me "I don't think you'll be happy with anything I do and you seem impulsive" after no evidence of impulsivity and me making sure I waited the necessary time after my last procedure to do a peel. She kept telling me that I need to do medical grade skincare for a long time to get the results I wanted. I do know that good skin takes a consistent regimen, but I also know from my research that chemical peels are a great way to do a nice reset, see a significant difference even after the first peel, and support results with good skincare. She suggested that I do a Diamond facial first since that can show how my skin reacts to medical grade care. She showed me before and after photos of the facials. I told her that to be honest I didn't see any difference (in the pigmentation or wrinkles) and she seemed shocked. The only difference was that the people had shinier skin, which a peel can do anyway. I said that I wasn't interested in a facial. She said I needed to spend money to see medical grade results. I said I have no problem spending money on procedures that will give me the results I want. I had just had a $450 V-beam session that gave me amazing results and I am going to do another one. I just wasn't going to do procedures that wouldn't give me the results I wanted. It felt like she wanted me to try everything else that was pricey so I could ultimately return to do the expensive chemical peel I wanted when nothing else worked. She told me that if I wanted to do a chemical peel I would need to buy a pre-peeling solution from them and use it for 2 weeks beforehand. She said that it cost $100 something. At this point I was willing to spend the extra $100 or so since I'm willing to try good skincare, although I was a little wary because I've tried many things that have flared my cheeks like crazy, and tretinoin broke me out so bad after a few days that I refuse to use it again. (I know about the purging phase. I am not willing to ruin my skin for 3 months for the promise that it maybe will get better.) She brought me out to give me the price for it, and it turned out to be $245 plus tax--way more expensive than $100 something. I left without buying it. I looked on the manufacturer's website for the Perfect Peel. Even they specify that there is no preconditioning required. I left feeling like she hadn't listened to a single thing I said. I felt her getting more frustrated that I clearly wasn't going to let her push pricey procedures and products on me that I know wouldn't give me the results I was looking for. It felt like she tried to shame me about being a difficult customer, but I would have had zero issues if she just did the peel in the way I asked. I checked and SkinSpirit gives staff commission. The experience felt comparable to walking into the doctor's office as a woman and being completely dismissed and condescended to. I came in very willing to spend $300+ on a chemical peel. I left unwilling to give this place any money. read more

She is extremely skilled at targeting each area which is important because if the practitioner doesn't understand that the depth of the skin and facial fat is different for each area, you'll get a facial fat loss which isn't good.
