I found Modern Skin therapy and gave it a try. Pari is the owner and she is amazing. Pari has beautiful skin herself, which always makes a client feel better! She's professional and knowledgeable and won't do something that will harm your skin. The location has tons of parking and the setting is relaxing and clean. She sells a variety of amazing skin care products, but most is Eminence, which I absolutely love. Pari is patient, professional kin and I trust her with my skin!!! I'm sorry to say that I didn't have the best experience here. The excellent reviews won me over, and I wish I had the same experience as many here. When I arrived, Pari asked me what my current skincare routine was. When I told her my answer (vitamin A and retinol), her reaction was quite judgemental rather than accepting and helpful. She was very blunt when talking about my skin, instead of going into specifics like dullness, discoloration, etc. etc. She kept it vague and said it looked "terrible." Yet after her treatment, she said my skin looked "amazing" which left me a bit confused. It's hard to believe that anyone's skin could go from "terrible" to "amazing" with an hour of treatment. Pari didn't really explain anything that she was putting on me - what type of masks they were, what type of lotions she was using. She told me to stop my current skincare regimen if I wanted better skin. When I asked about alternatives to my current routine, her responses were rather vague. I was left feeling uncertain about how to improve my skincare routine. It seemed like she was gate-keeping a lot of her knowledge but was freely telling me how bad of a job I'm doing with my skincare and dissing other skincare products (namely from Korea). Sorry, but the interaction soured what could have been a great facial. With better communication and a more supportive tone, this could have been a much more positive experience! read more

Pari's facials are the best! My skin always looks and feels great after. I've been going to Pari for facials for just over a year now. On my first appointment she evaluated my skin and informed me that it was more dehydrated/dry than I realized, and she recommended the hydrafacial for my first visit, which helped. Last summer I was very stressed and breaking out a lot, so I went to Pari for the Anti-acne treatment to help get things under control. My skin has improved a lot and for my last two visits I got the Special holiday glow and October Pumpkin cleanse, both of which smelled amazing and were excellent. The facial experience itself is very relaxing. The bed is comfortable and heated, and the room feels cozy with relaxing spa music playing during the treatment. I'm only rating based on the scalp treatment. I think this place is known for their facials, however I came here bcuz they advertised they offer Korean spa treatment. First off, Peri is nice and dresses well. The location appeared clean and professional. But when it came to the service I guess I expected a lot more. I arrived and changed into the robe and laid on my back. She started with Dry brushing , then rinse. During the 45 min treatment I was looking forward to the head, neck and shoulder massage but to my disappointment that never came. I assumed they'd also check my scalp to analyze. Which I assumed they do for Korean spa. I've had my hair washed before, and had better head massages so it was sad that didn't happen, maybe bcuz I added Gua sha (extra$30) . I checked to see that they use Paul Mitchell shampoo and I was happy to see that Kerastase was used as the conditioner. I'm a big spa person, and don't mind spending money but for this service it didn't live up to what I expected. Maybe this review will help them improve for the future clients that come first this service. As someone with what I would describe as sensitive, dry, oily skin I have always been reluctant to have any facial treatment, because that usually leads to dryness and flakiness around my mouth and chin, and acne. That being said, I also minimalist when it comes to skin care, and knew I needed some professional exfoliation in my life. I'm so happy to have found Pari! I didn't experience any of the dryness or flakiness that I normally would. I left there absolutely glowing & with her recommendations have started being a little better about my skin care routine. Her suite is trendy, bright and clean. And her treatment rooms are just what you would expect.
