I've not had a Thai massage before but had extra time yesterday while I was in the area and I'm so glad that I decided to visit. I was able to get a last minute appointment. The receptionist was nice and accommodating. The price was a value at just $80 for an hour plus gratuity. The establishment was clean, tranquil, and well appointed. The room was delightful - it was the largest massage room ever. You lay on the floor and the therapist comes in and she worked my muscles perfectly and I left feeling much better. I was in need of a neck and shoulder rub down so I took the chance and called True Thai because I was in the neighborhood. Despite it being a Saturday at 12pm, they were able to fit me in for a 60 min Thai/Swedish massage at 12:15pm. I pulled up (there was plenty of parking) and the woman at the desk gave me the paper work to fill out, asked me if I needed water and then proceeded to show me my room. I didn't know what to expect as I've never had a Thai massage and boy was I in for a treat. I walked into the room and the bed was on the floor, which was different. I stripped down and waited to get started. Sara came in the room and got to work. When she started stretching me and I was like wahhhhhhhhhh. Guess that's part of the process but it was different for me. Sara did it all. Once she dimmed the light, she began to step on my back, twist and turn me in all ways and gave a great deep Swedish massage. I really enjoyed it because I needed it. Only thing I didn't like was the smell of the room/sheets. It smelled like food and that bothered me. I also felt like the sheets were not changed prior but that could be false. Fah was very thorough. Facilities are pretty new and clean. My massage was a new experience and I don't think I knew what to expect so I was perhaps a little jumpy. I was mostly laying face down and she used a beam above for balance as she walked back and forth massaging me I'm pretty thin so I felt all of that massage and some bits were uncomfortable. Fah was good about checking in with pressure etc. My massage was during the height of the pandemic and I thought it odd they did not wear masks given the close proximity during the service. I had the Swedish/Thai massage, deep tissue. I loved the combination because I've never had a Thai massage. They walk on your back and do some interesting stretches. They also do hot stones on your neck and a scalp massage. I liked the setup too because you're lying on a mat on the floor and your face is on a towel, which to me is much better than those massage tables where your face is awkwardly poking through a little hole.
