On our first meeting he thoroughly inspected our new to us home, which was in desperate need of painting. (We're thinking it hadn't been painted in 20 years). Vince gave us an honest assessment with the amount of prep, sanding and caulking that would be required. Boy was he right- the crew worked on it for about 10 days total. We appreciate that Vince was very hands on with the crew. He stopped by daily and oversaw the work, pointing out areas of concern to his crew. He also took time to point out to us areas that needed extra TLC. I also appreciated Vince's feedback on our color choices. Let's face it when you paint you're gonna have that color for a long time! We did have to wait awhile to book the job- which was worth the wait. And to be fair we could have done it sooner but we had scheduling conflicts on our end. Vince's crew did a great job and was conscientious about the clean up at the end. It was also fun that the men seemed to enjoy their work and could be heard singing along to their music. We highly recommend True Tone. It was expensive but considering the price of paint and the fact that the crew was between 3 to 5 men working each day, it was worth it. I recently had the entire exterior of my home painted by true tone painting. These guys are fantastic! The owner Vince is very detail oriented, professional and great to work with. They arrived on time every day and left the home each day afterwards spotless. Their price quote was very reasonable. I had a couple quotes from different companies and true tone had the best offer. My fiance and I pressure washed the home and replaced the trim ourselves. It only took true tone painting 3 days to caulk, paint the house and paint the trim! I found True Tone and Vince through Service Magic. We needed some patch work done in our house as well as our kitchen ceiling painted after a remodel. Vince was quick to call back, gave us a fair quote and was extremely professional. When he came to do the quote it was immediately apparent that he knew his business and could not only do the work, but help guide us as well. He and his team showed up on time, were completely focused on the job and did a beautiful job. The patch work alone could have gone terribly wrong as there were a lot of paint colors to match and blend in. They did an incredible job. Not only was TTP professional and courteous, doing the little things like keeping schedule commitments and tidying up after themselves... but more so the skill level was exceptional by any price, and delivered at a nice price for me. There are a lot of run of the mill painting operations, but it was clear from my experience with owner Vince as well as the finished product that TTP is truly more skilled then the average contractor. I discovered True Tone Painting through a Craigslist post, and then reviewed the True Tone website and researched the Yelp reviews. I contacted Vince, the owner, and he promptly set up a time to see my house. I really appreciated the time that Vince spent with me, walking around the house and discussing the various steps in painting the house. He submitted a bid for the work within 24 hours. I felt the price quote was fair and very reasonable. I accepted the bid and we settled on a potential week for the project to begin. I had a flexible schedule on the painting schedule, which worked to my advantage. I believe some customers get unrealistic ideas about scheduling and freak out when there's any type of delay. For instance, we had a one-day delay from a very unusual rain day in July. When the work started, the house was thoroughly pressure-washed. Every square foot of siding was examined and patched and caulked as necessary. The crew were professional and friendly, arrived on time each day and were great about their cleanup and finish work. I have a large, rambling house consisting of three shed shapes. The house went from a dull, boring 1980's brown to a rich warm grey, with cream white trim color. With an orangish-red front door the house looks sophisticated yet at home in Santa Rosa. The house has interesting architecture that is now on full display with the new paint job. I settled on the color scheme in collaboration with Vince. I feel that many times people can get tied to a specific color they see on a paint chip in a store. Often that color looks very different outside in sunlight. Listen to a professional who knows what a color will look like in the real world. I feel like a got a new home in the bargain. Either this company is out of business or thinks they don't need to respond to requests for an estimate. I have called this company several times over the last two weeks and visited their website on several occasions to fill out their online form to request an estimate. Even with all of my attempts to contact them, I have not been given the common courtesy of a phone call. I can't review on the quality of work, but I can on their responsiveness. And it's not good. I have been trying to set up a date with Vince for about 2 weeks. We had one appointment and after shifting my day around to accommodate him, he cancelled an hour before he was supposed to show up. I haven't heard from him since and that was 2 days ago. I would highly recommend True Tone Painting. Vince recently came and painted the exterior of my house and I am very happy with the results. I got two quotes and Vince was slightly less than the other plus he explained very clearly the work that would be completed and stuck to the original estimate despite the fact that I believe there was more work than he originally thought. I had one side of my house that was in pretty bad shape and he spent quite a lot of time prepping before he was able to apply any paint. He also offered me some cost saving options on other parts of the house that would not require as much heavy prep work or priming.
