I would never consign anything with this place. The owner came out and gave me a quote and beleive me all high end funishings on a house in Palm Beach. After waiting for months they sent us a check a 1/4 of what they promise. The guy that owns the company came out and told us what we would get. I like this place for buying (but only at the right price) but for consigning, don't even think about it. They are making money on both ends and give their consigners nothing- Beware of all the charges for pick up and If it doesn't sell they donate it- This is something to think keep in mind. I would rather donate it to a worthy thrift shop than be a party to their profit. They are the only ones who make anything. Terrible experience. They treat you poorly and their charges are outrageous. They also donated several pieces that they said THEY scratched without letting us know! They have lost and mismarked several pieces. Our contract was up and we were told to pick pieces up immediately or risk them being donated. When we arrived, they couldn't find the pieces and treated us rudely. Very disappointing experience. A lot of hype from them when they saw pictures of my furniture and accessories, so I paid nearly $400 to deliver items and set up TT account. They placed ridiculously high prices on the items and ignored requests to lower so they would sell. Very poor accounting on the few small items that did sell...you have no idea of the actual selling price or the percentage you get, you only see the amount you get. On 2 occasions, they erred and gave the wrong percentage following a consignment renewal on the same terms, so my account was mysteriously credited/debited. Who knows if they were correct. I was able to sell the dining chairs on my own on Facebook Marketplace, but when my buyer showed up at the North Palm Beach store, they were told the items had been transferred to the Delray store without informing me so I lost that sale. In the end, I made $111 for all the trouble and when the consignment period ends, you are denied access to your account and have no idea what happens to your furniture. Do not do this! Sell your items privately on Marketplace. Complete waste of time. read more

Susan, one of the helpful employees of True Treasures with amazing interior design skills lead me to a gorgeous high-end piece with a loveseat for a fantastic low price. The sofa works out perfectly in my living room and the loveseat is great in the master bedroom. I fully recommend True Treasures to anyone who appreciates great quality and value. Short story: I would not recommend to anyone because they are disorganized, rude and inappropriate. Long story: I called three weeks ago to consign a few pieces of furniture. I was transferred around to several people who could not answer questions or help me, then I was told to contact the owner. The owner asked the same questions everyone else had asked (do they not tell him why they sent me to him?) and asked me to text him photos and measurements, which I did, and he said he would call me right back. He did not call me back. When I tried to call the store to follow up, they told me to call the owner. Then, EIGHT DAYS LATER AT SIX IN THE MORNING, the owner texted me "did you arrange for a pick up?" I called the store while they were open and spoke with Patricia, who was very nice and apologized for the confusion and told me she was leaving instructions that we would call before we came to drop off the furniture and that it had been pre approved. Fast forward to this morning when we called to tell them we were coming by: they transferred the call around several times and told us we couldn't bring anything they hadn't approved. We explained that the owner had approved it already and sent pictures and explained that we were just telling them we were coming. Ultimately, my husband was called a liar because they had never heard of us. Thank you for wasting our time. We will never again try to buy or sell with your company. read more

The saleswoman who waited on me was so ignorant. My husband & I were looking for a large coffee table. When I told her "large", she took me to a snack sized coffee table. We saw one we liked and had to ask her to step away while my husband and I discussed if we were going to purchase even though it was very over priced. We decided not to buy it so I found the saleswoman. When I told her we decided to pass on it, she didn't even acknowledge us. She just stomped off. What A PLEASURE!!!! I was quite overwhelmed as to where to start to furnish my new place. I walked in to True Treasures on a Saturday afternoon, and meet a lovely salesperson, Connie. She escorted me through the store listening to what I think I am looking for, and within one hour I was able to select and purchase almost everything I needed!!! She told me about there other location on North Lake Blvd. Sunday I went there and meet Brian. Well I was able to complete EVERYTHING! I needed right down to the beautiful lamps.I am so very pleased with the customer service as well as WHAT A STEAL!! the prices for the quality was amazing! My furniture was all delivered by Eddie, there private movers, again with the care and proper service a ten plus! I decided to go to the store one more time to see another find!! I consigned multiple items here as well as their store in the Northlake location. Everything from pickup to communication to receiving checks went smoothly. I was able to login to my account at anytime to see what had been sold. I thought the items were priced fairly considering the market conditions. I thought 2 sideboards were too low and when I approached them about it, they cheerfully agreed to raise it to what I suggested for the first 30 days and then go from there. Check the price on my phone and True Treasures was charging $150.00 more for a used lamp, where brand new from another store cost less, which I ordered on line now that's what I call a TRUE Treasure! warning if you leave anything on consignment with true treasures,read the fine print, after three months the item you leave is there's, in my case the item simply disappeared it was a glass table and I suspect the movers broke it. they just continue to put me off, never paid me $1000- 1200 or gave me an explanation. read more

i would avoid this place at all costs. The prices are ridiculously high for a consignment store, and they used to have much better items. The owner is not a nice person at all, and i am not sure what his problem is, but dealing with him is like going to a sleazy used car lot. if you do go there, i would try to avoid him. i think his name is Paul. Everything is way way way overpriced in the stores. But he doesn't give you barely anything for your furniture when he buys it. Delray office-Great place to work with. I purchased a couch at a good price (470) last week-movers only took a few days, actually arrived early, Problems were with movers, not store. Sales person Patty went out of her way to call the mover to find out their prices and delivery dates in advance. Mover did to their credit arrive ahead of time and were professional, but would not accept credit card, only check or cash (it was OK, though I had checks). They wanted an extra half hour for wrapping fee when it had been specified to me that this had been part of the basic hour charge at the store. Plus they were not prepared to deliver a recieipt. I tried getting back to Patty but it was her day off-she is entitled. Store mgr Paula felt she should not have called the movers-I disagreed-how else am I supposed to know? Paula agreed to reach out to them. i have not heard from movers (Keyes movers) to this date. I had to call back driver who was not pleased to hear from me. Now he pulled bait and switch and said he spent 1.5 hours on the job when originally he stated it had been only an hour. I asked for a reciept. Owner of mover had not called back. Driver to send me a reciept. I have just gotten off the phone with Paul Shein, owner of Two Treasures. They will give me cash bark or store credit, my choice, just call him in advance of my coming over. This business is a pleasure to work with. My experience may not be the same as others, and I can only speak for myself. But you need to show your right to be respected as a customer and and as a person. If they do that, they deserve your praise in return. read more

After reading some of the negative reviews on the Northlake location of True Treasures, I'm only sorry I have not given my take on True Treasures sooner. I have been shopping there for a few years now, and have to admit that when it comes to purchasing furnishings for my home, I'm totally at a loss. I know what it is I want to accomplish, but to be honest, don't know how to achieve my goal. From my first visit, I've been so pleased with all the personnel I've encountered thus far who are employed at this location. There is Jonathon the manager, and must note for very good reason. There is Mike and Jacob who are also extremely helpful. And of course, let me not forget Susan who by the way has great suggestions when it comes to restaurants in the area as well. In addition to her vast knowledge of furnishings, has been dead-on perfect with her restaurant suggestions too. Visit her and see for yourself. They are wonderful, all with a knowledge of information and suggestions, all having answers to the many questions I ask. To me, visiting the Northlake location of True Treasures is like visiting a museum, only with this museum, you have the opportunity of purchasing a fine piece of furniture for your home, and at very reasonable prices. My experience consigning decorative items has been mixed. It is a real plus that inventory is computerized and I can access my account to see what has sold and pricing. However, several items have gone missing. To say that I have been given the run-around is an understatement. I understand that shoplifting can occur anywhere, but I have seen that small glass items are kept in a case so I have a hard time believing that they were stolen. Dealing with this company has been very frustrating and nothing has been resolved. I understand that consignment is a big risk and one-sided in favor of the shop, but the company's failure to take any responsibility would dissuade me from ever consigning anything of significant value. read more
