    Cerakoted my Beretta 92fs
    Wira T.

Brought in my Beretta 92fs in to TrueZero because the barrel has some rub mark on it. Sam recommends that we Cerakote it but it may still rub because it's just how Beretta is designed. So, we went with gun metal grey Cerakote so if may hide the future mark a bit. He also recommend we did the control and guide rod. It came out really really nice. Great job, and a very friendly establishment. Will definitely be back. Thanks Sam!!! Posted a picture of it too.

Daaaaamn thats a good stippling job
    Josh L.

I went back for a trigger job and also got the grips stippled. My trigger pull is now very crisp and the stippling makes the grip 100% better. Check these guys out if you are in need of a gunsmith, I guarantee that you will be satisfied! Will defiantly be returning to get more work done.

Sam was very helpful and was able to accommodate me while I wait. I totally recommend him for any of your firearm issues.

870p went from stock to Mesa tactical and magpul components

Quick turnaround on installing Mesa Tactical components on my 870p! Great prices and good customer service! Will be back soon to possibly get some stippling or cerakote work done on my M&P

Well, I was pretty impressed so I brought four family heirloom rifles to Sam for safety check and evaluation.

Under their recommendation, I purchased a suppressor, good quality red dot, and red dot mount for a PCC. When I was finally able to get the suppressor attached, the mount that I bought under the recommendation did not co-witness with the iron sites. When I tried to return/exchange for something else, I was told that it was past their 30 day return policy. I asked if they could simply allow me to exchange it for other merchandise, but again stuck to their policy. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. I had to wait more than 30 days for the adapters to mount the suppressor on the PCC, but I never went back and told them to cancel that order so I could purchase somewhere else. I was very patient and respectful with them while I waited. While I am not a huge customer, I will no longer be a customer.

I've been a long-time customer of Sportsman's Finest and have spent well over $6,000 here over the…read moreyears, but this recent experience was extremely disappointing. My friend purchased approximately $800 worth of hunting gear on November 21st that ended up not being used. The items were completely unworn and still had all tags attached. We attempted to return the items before he had to fly out, but the store is closed on Sundays. Due to the holidays and both of us being from out of town, we were unable to return the items until December 26th. At that point, we were told the return was refused because it was outside of their 30-day return policy. What's frustrating is that the policy does not reasonably account for store closures and holidays. This was not an abused return--everything was new and unused. When I called back to calmly explain the situation and ask if there was any flexibility, I was laughed at and told I was wrong. That response was unprofessional and upsetting. I expected better customer service from a company I've supported for years. Policies are one thing, but how customers are treated matters just as much. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider shopping here in the future.

My experience with Central Texas Gunworks was honestly shocking…read more My girlfriend and I ordered a firearm that was originally quoted to arrive in about 10 days. Instead, the order took over six weeks to arrive. Frustrating, but we were patient and waited. When the firearm arrived, my girlfriend went to pick it up. The store advertises closing at 6:00 PM, and she arrived after work at 5:55 PM. The gun was paid for so this was simply a pickup. When she arrived, the employees were already outside sitting in their cars getting ready to leave. She politely asked if they could go inside and complete the pickup since it was still before closing. Instead of helping her, the employees laughed at each other and joked about whether they were going to do it, then told her to "just come back tomorrow." She explained she had rushed there after work and arrived before closing. They claimed the credit card machine was broken, which was irrelevant because the firearm was already paid for. The worst part about this, the store owner Michael, sat and listened. and never lifted his head from his lap. Despite arriving before the posted closing time, and after waiting six weeks for an order that was supposed to take ten days, they refused to help her and continued dismissing her request. She was laughed at and treated with complete disrespect. This wasn't just inconvenient, it was unprofessional and humiliating customer service. If your business advertises that it closes at 6:00 PM, customers should be able to expect service until 6:00 PM, not be turned away at 5:55 by employees who have already decided they're done for the day. After a six-week delay, the least a business could do is treat a customer with basic respect. I hope this is addressed because no paying customer should be treated this way.

Watermark Arms - Additional room and gunsmithing

All good things must come to an end…read more Watermark has raised their FFL fees to $40. Effectively, they're saying "please don't buy guns somewhere else and get them sent here - we don't want that business." Lesson learned - I should have checked before I sent my transfer if their price had increased. I get it. They want to sell their own inventory. That makes sense. But the business that will be lost in people who also needed accessories and ammo is likely significant as they decrease traffic into their store: Every time I went in for a transfer o tried to buy something - even if just a bottle of cleaner - to support them. There are too many other options at $25 or less. If you do want to put hands on a gun before you buy and want to buy local, their selection is huge. They just added a room of additional parts and accessories, which also houses their gunsmithing area. Their gunsmithing is still spectacular, especially older or less popular guns, and their cerakoting service is reasonable and really well done. Net net they're a plus to the gun community in a growing part of the Austin area. They're just not the great deal they were before for transfers and the stress of growth is showing, so I'll have fewer reasons to go back.
