Under their recommendation, I purchased a suppressor, good quality red dot, and red dot mount for a PCC. When I was finally able to get the suppressor attached, the mount that I bought under the recommendation did not co-witness with the iron sites. When I tried to return/exchange for something else, I was told that it was past their 30 day return policy. I asked if they could simply allow me to exchange it for other merchandise, but again stuck to their policy. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. I had to wait more than 30 days for the adapters to mount the suppressor on the PCC, but I never went back and told them to cancel that order so I could purchase somewhere else. I was very patient and respectful with them while I waited. While I am not a huge customer, I will no longer be a customer.

I've been a long-time customer of Sportsman's Finest and have spent well over $6,000 here over the…read moreyears, but this recent experience was extremely disappointing. My friend purchased approximately $800 worth of hunting gear on November 21st that ended up not being used. The items were completely unworn and still had all tags attached. We attempted to return the items before he had to fly out, but the store is closed on Sundays. Due to the holidays and both of us being from out of town, we were unable to return the items until December 26th. At that point, we were told the return was refused because it was outside of their 30-day return policy. What's frustrating is that the policy does not reasonably account for store closures and holidays. This was not an abused return--everything was new and unused. When I called back to calmly explain the situation and ask if there was any flexibility, I was laughed at and told I was wrong. That response was unprofessional and upsetting. I expected better customer service from a company I've supported for years. Policies are one thing, but how customers are treated matters just as much. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider shopping here in the future.

The folks at Living Waters Fly Fishing have been outstanding in helping my wife and me get started…read morein fly fishing. They sold us reasonably priced started combos of rod, reel and tackle. Their guide KC guided us for our first guided instructional / coaching fishing trip to the San Gabriel River where we caught loads of bass, sunfish, Rios, Warmouths. KC introduced US to popper dropper fishing with nymphs, which yielded great success!! We attended their free Saturday class on introduction to fly fishing which included hands-on casting instruction and tips on where to fish, tackle to use and solid common sense conservation information. Living Waters conducts countless classes free to any and all who register. These classes are in part funded by federal or state grants awarded to qualifying organizations that DO NOT CHARGE for the classes. This is like gold for newbies like me. Inasmuch as I apparently like to decorate riverside trees with colorful flies, they have sold me countless flies to replace them. Once when I broke the tip of my 5 weight 9 ft TFO rod, they partnered with the rod manufacturer and arranged for a replacement tip to be on hand at Living Waters when we were passing thru Round Rock to go fishing on the San Marcos. Thank you TFO and Living Waters!!! I recently went on a guided float trip on the Llano River with guides Jim and KC lost count of the fish I caught and released and among those, countless Rios, which I LOVE to hook and fight. I am in a lather to float the Llano with them again as soon as they arrange another trip. (I've asked them to grant me first right of refusal because I'm so special!!!!). Check out their beautiful videos of fooling fish with fly rods and tackle! So go see the folks at Living Waters already!! You'll thank me!!

His facility is clean and upscale and in a great location. Rumor has it that he has the best selection and in stock materials in Central Texas and maybe even all of Texas for making flys. I would have to agree with that rumor. I think personally he has an incredible shop that would making any angler pleased. I look forward to learning more about the craft and hobby of fly fishing by Chris and his staff at Living Waters. If you have ever had the dream of learning to fly fish. Brandon has a great boat with high-quality equipment. He provided everything we needed to have an excellent morning of fishing on the lake. We had to have caught over 50 fish. My daughter is 12 and he was extremely patient and careful with her. I am a total beginner and had very low expectations, but he blew us away. Like the old phrase goes, it was good because he not only took us fishing, he actually taught us how to fish. My daughter really wanted a catfish and he even stayed out longer than we had agreed in order to help us get a catfish (which we did). We brought home fish enough fish for several meals and overall, just had a very pleasant experience. You can expect clear, timely communication in the booking process (we booked via Yelp), a professional and knowledgeable guide and teacher in Brandon, who also cleaned and dressed our fish, pleasant conversation and an easy day on the lake. We caught a variety of fish and learned much about each one through his knowledge of the local lake life. Brandon is a father, so he's great with kids and adults alike, and he is also just a really solid, nice guy. His pricing is more than fair for the value of the experience and he was much more easy to book than the other services we looked at in the Marble Falls area. A nod also to safety. He made sure we were safe at all times and I never felt even remotely uncomfortable being out with him, even though I was a mom out alone with my daughter. He's a solid guy and we'd recommend him for your next fishing adventure. We will be back out to fish with Bray's the next time we need a lake getaway!
