I am so glad I started going to this dental office. I thought I had been to good dentists in the…read morepast, but nothing compares to the care I have received here ! I have always been extremely nervous about going to the dentist. People laugh when I tell them I used to need "gas" just to get my teeth cleaned. I have now "graduated" from that and no longer need gas and some procedures I can get thru without it!! From the front desk staff to the dentist, the entire staff is great!! Don't put off taking care of your teeth because of fear!! Call them up, go in and talk to them, explain to them exactly what your fears and needs are. I promise you, you will not be sorry. They have the most up to date equipment and procedures available --- and they also offer a dental insurance plan, and accept Care Credit credit card. I am sure they take other credit cards, and probably actual cash! Whatever, do not be "afraid " of going to the dentist. They will put you at ease, no matter what your needs are. I have my own customized plan that works for me --- I know I need more than two cleanings a year for myself. So I started going quarterly, now I go three times a year. It works for me!! So much better for me --- and my teeth! Dr. Dyer and Dr. Kolath have both worked on my teeth -- either of them I would recommend --- as well as any other dentist they have working there -- because sometimes the two of them are so busy, that third dentist is the only one available, don't worry, they dentist is just as competent. Usually it is a recently graduated dentist, so you know they are up to date on the latest and greatest in the dental field. I just had an appointment yesterday -- had a crown that was ??? years old, it came off, they put it back on temporarily on Tuesday, with the understanding that as soon as they could get me in, I would need a new crown (it had a hole in it and was beginning to break apart) and at the same time I needed a new filling in another tooth. Got me in on Thursday - I was there from 1:30 till around 4:15 and they replaced my original crown, and determined that a crown would be my best bet for the other tooth (because of the amount of decay under and around the filling). So in that short time, Dr.Dyer and his assistant were able to get both permanent crowns made and on my teeth! And I was on my way! How many other dentists can do that? Oh, and not all that time was spent in the dental chair ---- for about an hour while my crowns were being made - I was in the massage chair!! Another great feature at this office - for when you have a longer procedure. My family (out of state) could not believe I was getting a chair massage while I was waiting for my crowns. They were amazed that I could get permanent crowns in one visit. I know why Dr. Dyer has been voted best dentist in Mesquite for years. I highly recommend this practice. I just hope no one has any plans for retirement or moving away from this practice! I don't want to move or drive farther to continue seeing them.

I almost cried when I got reminded what the government covers. I was going to have to pay out of pocket. Not the office's fault, but the government's. The staff and doctor were all nice to me and did their job well which dulled the pain of learning how much it would cost. I went home and tried to figure out what my options were because I really needed to get that tooth extracted. I remembered a certain fundraiser site. I signed up and shared what I was dealing with on there. I got some donations including one that covered the rest of my bill. I cried learning that I could get my tooth extracted. I made my appointment and went to it yesterday. I had my deep cleaning, filling in one tooth & the mean one extracted. It put up a fight. They had to drill several times and take it piece by piece 'til it was finally gone. It was like full-blown surgery from the suction to the scalpel to the sutures. It took them from around 12:30 to almost 3:00 to get it done. Dr. Park, Krysta Powers and Ashley Nguyen were all great. Most of the pain was felt when I had to pay, but it was worth it plus they earned it. Krysta has an amazingly soothing voice that's calming. It goes with the Comfort Dental brand. During the procedure both her and Dr. Park were very attentive in making sure I wasn't in pain. Ashley did the deep cleaning and did it well. It was a little intense, but bearable because she's trained well. Dr. Park must be pretty amazing at what he does because the only discomfort I've had was right after my dental procedure. Other than that, I can't tell that I even had work done except for missing that tooth. Thank all of you at Comfort Dental for an all around painless experience.

Ideal Dental Sunnyvale TX (part of DECA Dental Group) has been the worst dental experience I've…read moreever had. If you're considering Invisalign, orthodontics, or cosmetic dentistry in the Dallas area, stay far away unless you enjoy unnecessary stress and broken promises. My Invisalign treatment was supposed to take months but stretched into years, filled with errors. One of their rotating dentists, without my consent, decided to cut my teeth to make room for alignment. The cuts were sloppy, which future orthodontists confirmed as poorly executed but thankfully fixable. Ideal Dental constantly switched dentists, each seemingly unaware of my treatment plan. They originally sold me on a 5-year smile guarantee, including laser whitening, a retainer, and trays at the end. But when my treatment ended, they changed the policies, claiming I needed to pay more to continue. Each time I pushed back, they offered discounts as if they were doing me a favor. I was tired of fighting, and my OCD was triggered by the half-done work. When I finally accepted the situation and asked for my promised whitening and retainer, they once again tried to charge me. After pressing the issue, they admitted it should've been included. I went through the in-office whitening process and saw almost no difference. To make things worse, they ran out of gel for my trays and made me come back, only to try to charge me again. I reached out to DECA Dental Group, the BBB, and Ideal Dental directly to resolve this, but got no response. I've given Ideal Dental every chance to make things right, but they've let me down at every turn. Save yourself the hassle, time, and money--if you need more than just a cleaning, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Two other orthodontists said my case was a simple fix and couldn't believe the issues I'd been put through. I even found a gel on Amazon that worked better than what Ideal Dental provided. I would highly recommend trying a reputable dentist if you're in the Dallas area and need orthodontic or cosmetic work done. TL;DR: Avoid Ideal Dental Sunnyvale TX unless you're okay with broken promises, sloppy work, and paying extra for services you were told were included. Don't go here if you need more than a cleaning unless you hate yourself and want to be punished.

In 2016, I came in because I needed to have several teeth pulled and I spoke with the female dentist there about dental implants. I wanted dental implants because I have only heard negative things about dentures. The dentist proceeded to talk me out of the implants and into dentures because they were cheaper and she promised she would make sure they would fit so I would be happy with them. I trusted that and decided to go ahead. I received my dentures approximately 6 weeks later and was happy with how they looked. They were very pretty, and they did fit well when I left that day. Unfortunately, it was near impossible to eat with them and they stretch out very quickly so you have to use more and more adhesive and/or go back in and have them tightened up. I made do though since I had already invested in them. Then in October 2021, I was out of town at my daughter in law's wedding and on the way out of the hotel, somewhere between the hotel and the car, my dentures must have fallen out of my bag because when I got home, I could not find them anywhere. They never showed up in the hotel's lost and found, so I made an appointment to get a replacement for the top denture. I came in and saw a male doctor this time and he was extremely nice and had me fixed up in no time. He ordered a new top plate and he told me it would be about 2-3 weeks before they came in. He sized my mouth at that time and I was under the impression that what I was picking up in 2-3 weeks was the actual denture. I may have misunderstood but at that time, I was certain that's what I was told. In 2 weeks, I received a call from the office that my dentures were in. That was the message I got "Your dentures are here and please make an appointment to come in to make sure they fit". I made the appointment and when I got there, the female dentist was there and told me that what they had was the wax denture and she was going to make sure they fit and then order the denture. I never saw this denture that "came in" since I had already picked out the color shade and gotten fitted. I asked to see them and was told no. Then they made the front office person come and apologize to me for misinforming me. I do not believe she misinformed me. She told me the same thing the male dentist told me and I was expecting to leave that day with my replacement dentures. The female dentist then made impressions with the putty (was this not what they were telling me had come in?) to size them and sent those off with a brand new order. The dentures she ordered took another 3-4 weeks to come in with the wax plate and then 8 weeks (I work from home so the teeth issue wasn't that critical except when I had online meetings). When they finally came in, they were huge. They look like horse's teeth and are way too big for my mouth. The other dentist had to use a child's template because of my small mouth. The color was wrong on them as well. I had ordered a bright white and they were a dingy white. I was told if I changed the color, it would be yet another 8 weeks. It was their mistake! I was not happy at all. There was no filing down the top gum of the denture and nothing other than putting them on and I was told I could leave. The gum part of the plate is too tall and makes it hard to close my mouth without looking like I have a mouthful of something. I had to pay out $400 for this top plate denture that was not what I ordered and was/is way too big for my mouth. I don't know what kind of office issues are going on there, but I was blatantly lied to about the order process and it seems the dentists were having a battle of the ego. The young lady who sits at the front window and the one who called me is not at fault and I resent the fact that she was forced to apologize for doing something she was told to do. Whatever happened to what is best for the patient? I now am going to look for a dentist who will listen to me and at least let me know if I am still a good candidate for dental implants. I just hope there is no bone loss that will require additional surgery and costs that I wouldn't have had if I'd gotten what I wanted earlier. Great Expressions advertises for dental implants, but they sure aren't behind selling them. I won't be back to Great Expressions.

I was not allowed to even meet with a hygenist. They took my X-rays & told me I had pressure on my teeth and needed an expensive custom night guard - I do not grind my teeth nor do I have any such issues & I asked if I could use an OTC night guard & they said their expensive custom option was much longer lived though they refused to estimate the difference or the life length of the custom option or explain why it was better. I've never had such a thing recommended. Next, Dr. Natalie Lesnikovskaya said I have advanced gingivitis based on a cursory 5 min exam. This has never come up, even a few months ago at another Great Expressions location, I was told I had no cavities & this dentist told me I had 3+ "terrible cavities we need to address today". She also told me that I needed a replacement for my 'leaky crown' - thing is, I do not have a crown. I have a filling, only one that is not white but she didn't seem to understand. They gave me multiple thousand dollar 'treatment plans' to address concerns I did not have plus a $600, 3 appointment plan to 'cure my terrible gingivitis'. As I was waiting for the dentists 'manager' to explain the possible thousands of dollars I could 'pick one option between the two' of, she asked me to sign all these forms - each listed me as the guarantor. While I was waiting (it was about 9:15 am at this stage & I'd been there since 8 am. I was able to hear other patients getting told about night guards & their gingivitis. This just felt like an outright scam. I paid my copay for this appointment while not even receiving the promised cleaning. I was called & told I will also need to pay for the non-covered dental cancer screening for $29. While receiving this screening (using a light), Dr Natalia Lesnikovskaya told me I really need to stay out of the sun because my skin looks 'bad'. I was truly taken aback by the constant unprofessionalism throughout this experience. I am worried they are scamming people. I refused to sign the papers (the 'manager' of the dentist said they were "not contracts, just agreements?" where I was listed as the guarantor) & was then told to meet her at the front desk where I paid my copay & then left. I spoke to others in the field & it seems this place is well-known already.
