If I could give zero stars that is what this service is ... WORTHLESS! From the initial quote 02/19/2024 thru to the last lawn treatment 08/21/2024, TruGreen was the absolute worst. Every treatment the technician had to be reminded to actually treat the small section of grass in back yard & the side tree lawn. For the record, I prepaid for all services. Every time they promised to make a notation to make sure that the back yard & side yard tree lawn would be treated and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME they failed to treat the areas unless I reminded them to. When I was not home during the treatment time they FAILED to treat the back & side yard lawn. The last time the technician stated that his supervisor told him specifically "only treat the front yard & front tree lawn, do not treat the back yard or side tree lawn." When the customer service rep calls, they thank you for your feedback and do absolutely NOTHING to help or correct their failure to provide services that you pay for. DO NOT TRUST TruGreen to do what you pay for or to do what they say they will do, HORRIBLE SERVICE! read more

I finally cancelled my service after being a customer for about 10 years. About every year there has been a problem of one sort or another. I stuck with these guys because I feel like their chemicals are better than other companies. So I guess that is the one star. Issues in past: 1- didn't properly broadcast granular fertilizer so I ended up with green stripes in my yard while the rest of the yard was not green. Looked silly! 2- they will oftentimes ride a machine on the lawn which caused tire ruts. And, when the yard is wet, they turfed the yard. Other issues in past but I'm short on time. SO WHY AM I CANCELLING NOW? This year, their first application the guy did the front yard. My wife walked to the back of the house (she works from home) and waited for the guy to do the back and side yard. She waited and waited. Went back to the front, and the guy was driving off. So he wasn't even going to do the back and side yard. I had to call and complain to get someone out. READ THIS - the final issue that made me cancel is the guy who applied the chemicals this past week applied chemicals to my garden area and mulched flower beds. So now all my newly planted cucumber plants are dead and my red Romain and leaf lettuce is all dead. Thank God I hadn't planted my tomatoes yet! My flower bed has also been dried from chemical. My black eyed Susan's, ornamental grass, day lillies, cone flowers.... Everything fried with blotches of chemical. And these flowers are 2-4' in from the edge of the beds!!! Customer Service is wonderful and the team that comes out to my home is always on time and provide me great information about maintaining my grass. So far LOVE the service! If you are looking for a business that does not live up to their promises and customers service is considered a waste of time look no further you have found if. I signed up for the TruComplete Lawn Plan which included Pre-Emergent & Targeted Weed Control and Fertilization and was quoted $ 422.95 for the season One of the services that attracted me was the Healthy Lawn Guarantee in which they state "You'll love your lawn, guaranteed. We'll make any necessary adjustments to ensure your satisfaction.' Firstly the priced quoted is no way near the actual price they will charge your credit card, it is half way through the season and my credit card has already been billed $ 544,70. After many attempts to contact TruGreen, you can wait up to 40 minutes for customer service rep and then the real fun starts. You are quickly told any charges already made to your credit card cannot be reversed but they are happy to correct the errors going forward. I asked the question "you have incorrectly charged my credit card and you are happy to ensure that it will not happen in the future but error made by TruGreen in the past are now my problem" the answer we cannot correct past errors and if I want to question their policy someone will contact me in 24 to 48 hours, I said they had already exceed the quoted price for the services does that mean I will not be charged for any services for the remainder of the season......answer given no we will continue to charge you $ 79.00 per visit with a possible 4 more visits for the season giving a total cost of approximately $ 850 against the price of $ 422 quoted. If this is not a total RIP OFF I not sure what is. Now for the Healthy Lawn Guarantee in which they state "You'll love your lawn, guaranteed. We'll make any necessary adjustments to ensure your satisfaction.' I have used them over 20 years and four weeks ago they came out and completely trashed my lawn with there weed killer ! Killed my lawn in August ! Took them a month to come out and Aerate my lawn poorly i can say and put 45 lbs. of seed down on a Acre of lawn and told me to keep it watered. When i called for a Supervisor i get the run around. I think it is time to get another company that knows what they're doing. read more

The worst lawn maintenance company that ever existed. From top to bottom, a complete disaster. I was charged for service that was never done to my lawn. I was home from work and ,from my front yard, saw the Tru Green technician drive by without stopping by. A day later I got an email that my lawn was serviced. And when I confronted the company, it took 5 phone calls to get reimbursed and to discontinue service. After speaking to several different reps, no one seemed apologetic. It will be a year in May since our lawn was last treated by this company. The technician was spraying liquid fertilizer on our lawn when the hose got caught on a ceramic flower urn (filled with a brick, rocks, dirt and flowers weighing approximately 100 lbs.) Instead of seeing what the hose was caught on, he must have pulled on the hose and knocked the urn into our 20 x 40 inground swimming pool. The supervisor never came out to look at the damage, per my husband's request. After speaking with two rude managers (who dropped our account even though we were customers for over 25 years), we sent a letter along with the photos of the damage, receipts for repair of the pool pump motor, professional pool cleaning, and chemicals. We also asked for compensation for the approximate cost of electricity to run the filter continuously for one week to circulate the chemicals, approximate cost of gas to reheat pool, time spent treating pool (adding chemicals every 4 hours) and loss of use which included Memorial Day weekend with a party planned. There was also damage to the aluminum coping and vinyl liner. The manager stated that the damage to the liner could have happened prior to the incident. How ironic that the damage is where the urn fell into the pool! read more
