Really bad! My service never occurred on time (pre or post germination) and because of this my lawn has weeds just like it did before I started this service. Trugreen has been servicing my lawn for a few years. When Trugreen first started working on my property, the lawn was terrible (I thought that we would have to rip it all out and start over). But, with scheduled care, the lawn looks great! They have a treatment for every season and take the guess work out of lawn care. I have been contacted about their other services such as tree care, but I have not used them for that - just the lawn (I have an arborist I use for my trees and I'm happy with them). If I'm not satisfied with the service, I call them and they do their best to make it right. If they think my lawn needs a special treatment like over-seeding (for example), I am contacted and asked if I want to spend the extra money. If I say no, they don't do it. No high pressure. Overall, I am satisfied with Trugreen and recommend them without hesitation. read more

I used TruGreen for my lawn service and they made an absolute mess of my lawn...it has never looked worse in the 3 years I've owned my home. They had performed a treatment that burned most of my lawn and it took repeated calls t to speak to the manager and he/she never call back . finally one of the young employee, who came to do the service, looked at it and agreed that it was "burned" and damaged, and it was a mess. It took several more emails and calls to have them send someone out to aerate and put seed down to fix it, It has been more than 7 weeks and it still looks horrible and now I have many areas of dead/brown grass with weeds running in my lawn. on top of that, they are sending a new bill, eve though I already cancel the services. I would definitely not recommend them to any service your home. I will follow up with a claim to BBB. read more

I'm giving 2 stars; 1 to the customer service reps who were always professional, although not fully educated, and 1 to the fact that they did help turn my dirt lawn green. However, it's not the green I thought I'd see (almost all weeds -- when I was paying for weed prevention, go figure). I even called two separate months for them to come back to try again but still no help. I am writing this post today because I paid for an additional pest service to help improve my backyard's beetle problem which got delayed once (no clue why) & then they came today & neglected to do my backyard even after I told the guy face-to-face the backyard was my main concern. I called after a few seconds of him leaving & after 10 mins of holding found out the guy left because of the weather (sun was out shining so I guess a bad excuse?) it would've been okay if he just turned around & finished but instead they tried to delay me another 5 business days which would've given me pest control for about a week of the summer. Needless to say I canceled and had to help them calculate the right amount to refund me. Can only imagine what else they didn't do the entire 5 months I was using them! DONE read more

This company is the worst company in lawn care that there is!!!!!! You are literally paying for what you get with them. There is a reason they are the cheapest company around. Their techs aren't trained properly and there is no continuous training for techs either. The only way to get good service from this company is to hope and pray that the tech coming to your lawn actually cares about the job he is doing. But that is impossible because they pay their techs' the lowest in the industry and work them like dogs. Any good techs that have worked there have left because the company and management doesnt care about their employees. I would know, I used to work for them and left after Trugreen bought Scott's. I was with Scott's for 4 years and 1 year with Trugreen. I know how they operate and the only thing they care about is customer retention. Customers are a number to them. They only care about getting your money and not about providing quality service. The techs dont even properly calibrate their spray guns to properly apply at the right rate for your lawn. This means that the amount of fertilizer being applied to your lawn is incorrect. As a customer you are being shorted fertilizer that you are paying for. If you complain enough about the service and threaten to cancel they will waive your balance majority of the time because all they want to do is keep you as a customer. Please please please, if you value your lawn or care about how company's treat their employees, STAY AWAY FROM TRUGREEN AT ALL COSTS!!! I paid for the Mosquito Defense. The guy came out almost two weeks later, and sprayed lazily in the rain. Of course, the next day I was still getting bit up. When they called to check how it went (and to upsell me), and I told them it didn't seem to work, they offered to come back. But a week and a half later, they never showed up, so I cancelled the service. I think they focus on sales above actually providing a good service. The tech who had come out should know that they spray can't be applied in the rain, and he made no effort to create a real buffer around m property (I have heavy foliage all around, so it needs to be sprayed up and down). I'm going back to Mosquito Squad, who did a great job last season. I only tried TruGreen because I received a promotional mailer and thought I'd give it a try since they are a big company. But was very disappointed. read more

Currently having major problems with this company. First year using them and all was going well until they aerated and over seeded my neighbors yard instead of mine. No big deal if they corrected the issue after they were notified right? However, it's now been over three weeks and four phone calls later and they still have not performed this service to my lawn (the correct lawn). I get emails saying service was done when it's not. Every time I call I'm told they will be out in 3 days and they never show. One day they did come but left after no one answered the doorbell. After last phone call I was told a technician would call me but they never did. I will not be using them anymore after they complete this program and will tell everyone I can to not use them. I'm giving it one star only because there is no selection for no stars. i have had TruGreen for over 5 years. The lawn was thick green sod when they started taking care of the lawn. During the 4th summer the lawn turned brown in large areas. They said it was a fungus and would resolve the issue and reseed. This the 5th summer the lawn is even worse. They came out and said the lawn has active grubs even though they have been treating for grubs the entire time. The lawn now looks like the Giants played on it. It is dead and torn up. I have been contacting TruGreen constantly to reseed and restore my lawn. Unfortunately I get a lot of lip service and no service to restore the lawn. After many calls they aerated the dead lawn but still have not seeded. I wish I could post pictures of the lawn. I told them the neighbors thought it was funny that they would leave their sign on the dead lawn. They stopped leaving the TruGreen signs. read more
