After I almost hired them in 2017 for snow shoveling, after I didn't follow through, they said they could be available for lawncare or future snow shoveling but they would never return email or phone calls after this. Then finally later in the fall, he finally contacted me calling for someone else with a similar name to me. Turns out, he had mixed up our names and phone numbers. So then he said apologized but then he claimed that he doesn't service Jersey City and asked me to call some lawncare group in Bayonne, that they would do snow shoveling. Basically, to sum it up, the guy has put me on a wild goose chase and holds grudges. Grow up!! read more

Lino is knowledgeable and professional! I called for an estimate earlier in the week and despite his heavy workload, I heard back from almost immediately. As promised, he came the following day and provided a fair estimate for the work I needed done. Today he and his crew (thanks Barry and Joseph!) came and did a phenomenal job planting roses, trimming a tree and beautifying my front yard. This is an update to the review I did previously. Don't bother with them. They do good work but their customer service and follow up skills are terrible. I made an appointment for a clean up after my initial work was done and he never showed up. I called and he said his machine was broken...so we made an appointment for today and he still did not show up nor did he call to say that he wasn't coming. Unprofessional. They are more focused on you giving a yelp review than actually showing up to do the work. If you can't or don't want to do the job just say so and stop wasting everyone's time. read more

We had our overgrown yard cleaned up and mowed. Setting up the estimate appointment was pretty painless. He let us know via text when he was on his way. Estimate was straightforward and the price was reasonable. He arrived with his crew the next week and did a great job with the yard! At the end they bagged up the leaves and clippings, cleared off the driveway and sidewalk, and overall did a very complete job. We also agreed to have Riteway mow our lawn on a regular basis, but so far we haven't had much luck getting that set up. It may be that his responsiveness drops off in the busy season, but we'll see. I did a lot of research and talked to a number of snow removal companies in the area and this company gets my vote. His prices were affordable. He seems to have a very large number of people working with him and plenty of machinery to back up his employees. He had really good follow-through after the initial phone conversation. His prices were on par with at least one other company which confirmed for me that at least two others I spoke with were priced high for the same service. He was upfront and honest. I had then mow a 20,000 vacant lot which they mow bi weekly. They send me photos to show its complete then bill me through an online service where they can also take payment. 21st century technology and first rate prices and service makes these guys the go-to company in JC for landscaping. read more

I wish I could give this business a better rating. I hired them for a simple sod install job in my backyard that had very poor results. Despite the fact that I informed them that I had a reliable supplier for the sod that they could simply do the ground prep and install, they proceeded to order sod from their supplier without informing me - leaving me no time to leverage my supplier. Lino informed me that his supplier was good and I trusted that. As it turned out about 15% of the sod they installed was already dead. He kept saying that sod wasn't guaranteed, (which everyone who works with sod knows,) but it's definitely not guaranteed if it's already dead and matted - which he was not experienced enough to notice. Normally, a landscaper would simply get a few pieces of good sod to replace these for the job, however Lino refused to get new sod either from his supplier or another. Some other details: I paid a little over $100 to have a soil test done and was never given the results. I initially tried to make this a good situation by providing Lino and his workers breakfast every day they they worked and refreshments during the day, anything to encourage them to do a good job and I offered to pay slightly more that the price he asked... But this wound up a complete failure and a waste of time and money. I will be looking for professionals to come in and undo / redo everything that this company did. I decided to try them given the other YELP reviews but sadly regret it. On the principle of the poor communication, workmanship and for not delivering things like the soil test but pocketing the money, I cannot recommend anyone to use this company's service. read more

Showed up for the initial clean up and did a great job, but has never shown up since. It's been about a month and a half and he hasn't come back to fix the "guaranteed" weeds or even mow the grass. Too bad there's no option to choose 0 stars. The man on the phone was rude beyond belief. Apparently I called them a few years ago for an estimate and decided to go with someone else. When I called this time for an estimate, I was asked if I had ever called before. I said no, because frankly, I didn't remember because I have better things to do in life than keep track of who I have called for estimates. This guy on the phone rudely says yeahhhh I keep track of everyone who has called before and I have a really good memory and remember coming to that property and speaking with an Indian woman there and "I'll pass." Umm..what?! I said, "Excuse me? You'll pass?" And again, he repeated that he remembered speaking to an Indian woman and that he'll pass. I've never hung up the phone so fast. Not sure what kind of customer service that is. I'm hoping it wasn't a racist remark, but I'm not so sure at this point. read more

We hired Lino to spruce up our yard (clear weeds, cut down tree branches, trim bushes, etc.) as part of a larger renovation of our home. Lino provided us with an extremely detailed proposal for the project and a very reasonable estimate of it's cost. He's an extremely polite, earnest person who cares a great deal about the quality of his work. He began the project promptly, exactly as we'd scheduled. I simply can't recommend him highly enough. The work he did for us was impeccable, beyond what we expected. Plus, he is unusually conscientious about health and safety and cleanliness. If you have any yard, lawn or landscaping work to be done. i called in just to have a verbal interaction i was told to that i need to email my info. so i saw the email link online so decided to follow the link off yelp, forgetting to put my address on the request i got a call few minutes after and the demeanor of the guy on the phone was very prude and off putting. the guy must have felt i was a kid or something. there was no customer service or professionalism. where my money is concern i rather pay someone off the street or use another company just by a phone conversation one can sour your mood. read more
