I know all the tellers, the manager, and the other specialty account representatives. The teller, Evelyn is a complete sweetheart It's the kind of place you trust because you know everyone who works there. They always ask how I'm doing (specifically by mentioning something they knew from the last time I visited), how the kids are doing, and they know me by name. They genuinely want to make my life more convenient. I'm the customer who never has my account number on hand so they have to always go into the system look at the account number and write it in for me but they never make me feel like I'm a pain. I ran into an issue with their website and went into the branch to discuss it but I was on my lunch break so they took down all the information, told me they'd fix the issue and then call me when was completed and sure enough later that day they called to confirm everything was completed. I recently had a major issue with my other bank, (Bank of America) and got so upset that I pulled everything from them and opened a new Synovus account. I recommend everyone do the same. BOA is a nightmare.

So, I stopped into the local branch which wasn't busy at all. Only one teller was there who took my name and said an associate will be with me shortly. There was only one associate and she was assisting a customer, so I took a seat and thumbed through a magazine. The associate who assisted me answered all my questions and was very helpful. For me, working with a financial institution headquartered in another state (Michigan) makes me leary. The Ford Credit Union became DFCU, as was explained to me. And savings are federally insured by the NCUA up to $250,000, so there's that. Hopefully, they'll still be here locally at the end of the year. I'll do an update review then.

When she got back she went to the bank and picked up the check to send to Toyota Financial. Then she saw her due date is in 10 days. She called NFCU and the man said he would extend the date out one month. A few days later her due date on the loan never changed and when she called back she got nothing short of absolutely total rudeness and they said you signed the contract, and if you dont like it then you can withdraw the loan and go through the application process again just to have the due date one month from today. I did my loan through PenFed. Much better service. I asked to have my first payment pushed out a week because my car was being delivered to me and they extended it an additional 4 weeks in less than a minute. The choice is clear who im doing business with from now on, Yes to PenFed, heck no to NFCU.

I needed a cashiers check generated and after I was told to swipe my debit card he didn't say anything. After a good amount of time passed I asked him if he was waiting on something from me. His response was that he was waiting for me to count the money I was depositing. At that point I felt like I had to take charge of the transaction and lead him. I handed him the cash, asked if he still needed my license or could I put it away. ‍ Additionally every time I visit this branch there is a stench in/outside that smells like a sewer. Lastly, when I went to my car I realized I was parked next to a vehicle in which two young children were climbing in/out of an SUV while the adults they were with were preoccupied at the ATM. Initially I thought the adults weren't aware of what the kids were doing however that theory was quickly debunked. The kids were running back/forth between the SUV and the ATM. So to avoid possibly accident hitting the kids with my vehicle I ended up waiting until they left before I could leave also.
