I've found my drink for the summer, it's a verve nitro with soy milk. Delicious, low calorie with a splash of protein. The people who work here are always exceptionally friendly. We usually come right when they open at 9 AM on Sunday so there's never a long line. But even while we're there never seems to have a super long line. Inside is very clean and spacious. This looks like a great place to work. As always bring one of your Capital One card so you can get half off. There were only a handful of tables left however that's not to say this location is small! Thomas came up to us while my colleague and I were coworking and started up a convo. They let us know that the space hosts financial literacy classes for underserved communities, hosts great events, and is really interested in creating a community space for the area. The fact that an employee of the space was so friendly and bought in to the concept got me even more interested. Do I have a slightly different impression of Capital One because of their investment in community spaces? YUP. Overall, the cafe and coworking area was inviting, had strong wifi, and clean bathrooms. It fit all of our needs and I'd definitely return. Plus, there's a free parking garage attached and plenty of good food and shopping in the Hyde Park area surrounding this space. As a Capital One cardholder and a person who can work remotely, I must give this cafe a 5 star rating. Cardholders receive 50% off all drinks and I found the quality to be comparable to Starbucks and Dunkin but with less options. I would say Capital One Café is most similar to Joffrey's if you're familiar with them. There were plenty of workspaces with plugs for your laptops and comfortable seats making this a great place to do work, read or any other quiet activity. I did find the music playing to be a tad bit loud but was simply resolved with putting in my AirPods. The workstations were spaced out far enough so engaging in virtual meetings is not an issue so long as you're not screaming. I was able to complete 5 hours of work with no distractions, a comfortable environment and delicious, affordable coffee all while not feeling rushed to leave like I have in smaller cafés. Hyde Park is a beautiful spot with a vibrant nightlife and plenty of daytime events so once you're done working, feel free to enjoy the surrounding location for leisure, preferably with a half off cup of their seasonal coffees! read more

I like going here to get my coffee when I'm at Hyde Park. Yes, I know I can go to the other bigger name cafe, but I'm a Capital One Cardholder. DANGEROUS - INTIMIDATING: (Context - This is not a Branch Office, there are no Tellers here.) I walked into the ATM Lobby, which is before the Café area, to deposit a check. It's almost 2pm and there were about 15 people inside getting coffee, and I was alone at the ATM. While depositing my check, a woman came outside and asked if I needed any help with the ATM, which scared me, and alerted me how close she was. I told her to leave me alone, and she continued to bother me with the same question. I had to tell her to go inside and she kept talking, and she showed her bad faith. This was dangerous, and I wasn't able to withdraw cash, because she was hanging around. So happy I found this place. I enjoy working away from my home office so I was out exploring new places. This place was recommended by a friend so I wanted to check it out. The ATMs at the entrance made me think it was a bank. Once I stepped inside, I saw as impressed with what I saw. The place felt like a Capital One branch, but it was packed with patrons.
