The selection of infant/toddler clothes is pretty good, and really cute, too. They told us they had a couple of different options, so we said, "Great--we're on our way!" We didn't expect them to hold anything, and we hadn't asked them to put anything on hold. When we arrived and saw the dresses we were looking for, we were so excited. The employee working recognized us and said, "Did you guys call us?" When we said yes, she replied, "I pulled these two dresses for you." Talk about amazing customer service! We absolutely love this place and this store. I started following their Instagram awhile back and finally had a chance to check it out IRL. The store is tiny but they pack a TON in for babies and kids, along with a few special pieces for parents including matching sets for kids and adults. The clothes are just my style so it was hard to resist buying a bunch for my preschooler and baby. I found most items to be $50+ but you can tell the quality is there and your child will definitely be dressed in something unique! There are a bunch of other giftable items like books, toys and baby accessories. I'll totally be making this a go-to stop the next baby shower I'm invited to and am already telling all my friends about it! There's even an awesome card shop next door to complete your quest for the perfect gift.

Very cool new store just opened on Broadway. Their sign outside noted they showcase over 50 local…read moreartists and makers throughout Colorado! Inside, the offerings range from the more conventional like pottery, hand-drawn cards and candles. To the more unique like hand-drawn figures overlaid with real flowers and butterfly wings. In the very back, they have an extended area of art along with a limited but healthy selection of plants - today, I spotted a rare albo type. And of course, lots of Colorado-themed pieces, our favourite! The owner, Lauren, was super friendly and knowledgeable about all the artists she supports in her store, with fun anecdotes about the artists themselves or how pieces were developed. My favourites were block prints by an artist named Jini Kimchi and sculptures made from home-grown cordyceps spores (I forget the artist's name but will add here later). It's awesome that this store makes art so accessible, and what a great go-to for gifts!

The Bad: This place also does not have free pizza while we shop around. I am.determined to find a place. Kidding aside, the only downside I would think is that they know they have a monopoly in the area and the prices show it. The Ugly Truth: The selection of corsets is nice and the staff was very helpful in finding just the right one for my wife. She tried several of them on and found one that fit her needs. I would love to say we'll be back but we're not in Denver that often to stop in. A real positive is that the staff is eager to help and makes you feel very welcome. They should have just put a sign on their store front saying "No Blacks!" because that is what I felt as soon as I walked in. I had to speak first. I was assisted, very shortly by a woman who immediately walked away when I asked a question about the hats. Then both ignored me and turned their backs on me as I was talking to them before I was finally fed up and left. I might over look this if it was busy but I was the only person in the small shop. I guess I should call ahead before go to a place like this to ask first if they serve my kind, Black Men. I guess we are a threat, even in a costume shop.
