Unfortunately for me I will be needing a crown replaced, but it can be done here in about 90 minutes from start to finish in one appointment. My son had this done here a few weeks ago and he is very happy with getting his dental work done at this office. I was very impressed with Stephanie taking care of you at the reception desk when you first arrive and dealing with the insuand before I left Katia gave me a quote for the crown replacement and set up the appointment for me as soon as possible before things could get worse. I've been to lots of dental offices in my time and this is at the top of the list. I just had my next appointment here for a crown replacement. Dr Cho and Liz were amazing! The whole thing took about an hour and twenty minutes. The technology of getting the whole thing taken care of in one appointment is awesome. No temporary to deal with or having to come back. Dr Cho and Liz rocked this procedure. It could not have gone any better. No problems, it fit perfectly when I left the office and feels like I had it for years. My dental work is all done for now, but I definitely will be back when the need arises. The side benefit of coming here is that everyone is super nice, that doesn't happen at every dental office.

When someone finally arrived, instead of reviewing the records that had already been provided by the surgeon two weeks earlier, we were shuffled off and told to take tests. Then the dentist came in completely unprepared and proceeded to chastise me for "not doing it the right way." Comments like, "The surgeon doesn't tell us what to do -- we tell the surgeon what to do," were incredibly unprofessional and unnecessary. What made the experience even worse was his tone and facial expressions, which my wife later pointed out as being openly condescending and insulting throughout the interaction. The entire experience felt disorganized, unprepared, dismissive, and disrespectful from start to finish. I would never recommend this office to anyone.

For context I avoided the dentist at all costs for nearly 25 years due to a pretty rough experience I had as a child which created a bit of a severe phobia (the kind where you seriously consider pulling your own teeth instead of going to the dentist). Like you'd expect my teeth became an issue that couldn't be ignored anymore and I began looking for a dentist. I stumbled across all west family dentistry and took a chance that has turned out to be an excellent choice. They have been incredibly patient and supportive all the way through & I could not have gone from being too afraid to sit in the chair to successfully getting a tooth extracted without their superb quality of care. From reception, to the hygienists, dental assistants, and the dentists themselves this place is great. I'd like to thank Dr Aguilar, his assistants one I believe is named Erica, the other who helped with my extraction I cant remember her name but she was very kind and helpful. The ladies at reception especially Heather are top tier, they have wonderful communication and help create an environment that makes someone in my position feel more comfortable. I like that they are more interested in my teeth than selling me up-sale add-ons like most dentists. Not that she wouldn't recommend additional treatment if appropriate. Dr. Bader has done this when I needed laser treatment on my gums and a great result for what it cost. I've been her patient since 2005 and have never had a bad experience in treatments, billing, getting my appointment on time, etc. I just looked through the reviews and noticed a 1 star rating from a patient that had a problem with their dental insurance plan and felt like I needed to comment on it. I felt it unfair. Having an unusual dental insurance plan and a billing problem doesn't warrant a one star rating. Regardless of which dentist, if you have an insurance plan with a limited network, the question you would ask when setting up your appointment is, "Do you accept XYZ insurance plan AND are you in XYZ provider network?". Further, most insurance plans have a list of dentists in their network, so why wouldn't you take five minutes and check it? Knowing Dr. Bader, she'd try to figure it out, if possible, and her office manager would tell you if their practice is out of network for that plan. I've never had a problem with billing at Lake Pleasant Dentistry but have always had typical insurance plans such as Delta or MetLife or something common like that. They even offer various payment plans if you have to stretch payments over several months.

The dental assistant talked with me about it and asked me if there was anything specific they could do for my son to make him feel more comfortable and less nervous. When I called Noll Family Dentistry yesterday to cancel my next appointment and request my films…read moresent to a different provider, I commented "if Dr. Noll is interested to learn why I won't return after one visit, he's welcome to reach out". He chose not to call, prompting me to write this review. As part of my visit on 9/24, before the cleaning I specifically went there for, the dental assistant performed a gum charting exercise (if not familiar, it's an easy Google lookup to describe what the charting numbers mean). For each tooth, she read out to her assistant 4s and 5s. A 12 year old failing implant had a much higher reading I'm sure was accurate. Dr. Noll told me I need a deep-cleaning to the tune of approximately $600...I subsequently saw my periodontist a few days later to evaluate the old implant. He performed another charting that revealed 2s and 3s. I then asked if I'd benefit from a deep cleaning, and I guess because of professional courtesies between doctors, he reluctantly told me I won't benefit from the procedure. It was the difference between what I was told at this appointment and what my periodontist said that led me to move on.
