So first of all, I went through two other lenders that could not help me with my situation so Truss would have been my last resort before I had to start selling assets to keep my business afloat. The big issue was that I had properties that had plenty of equity, but lenders always had strict stipulations when it came to owning residential properties under an LLC and trying to refinance. These stipulations were the result of lenders tightening up their criteria after the pandemic. Anyway, I tried my luck and reached out to Truss and I got Paul as my loan originator. Before anything transpired, I told him my situation to ensure we didn't waste each other's time. After a couple days of assessing with his team, Paul found a solution and we got the ball rolling on the loan. I sent the necessary documents within a week, and he moved it along to the preliminary underwriters in which we got it conditionally approved. From there, I wasn't fully convinced as the last lender cut me off several days before closing and after I had paid for four appraisals. Paul quickly ordered the appraisals, and we got four properties done in week. At this point, Tari came in as my loan processor and she was noticeably experienced and guided through the entire process to get my documents in order for closing. What seems to take the most time was the insurance documents for four properties and the getting the declaration just right. After that, we got the final approval to close which had me floored and thinking, "Is this really about to happen?" And it did. Started the process mid-February and closed mid-April. To say that I am a satisfied customer is a sure understatement. I am ecstatic of the diligence of Paul and Tari for their efforts to my loan closed. I hope to do business with them in the future. TFG was an absolute pleasure to work with and helped us refinance our home quickly and easily. We worked directly with Abraham Ordaz and Ericka Fernandez. Abraham was extremely communicative, kept me up to date on every step, action, appraisel etc that was needed to get our refinance completed. Our refinance was also less "standard" than most since our property sits on 3 separate lots, which makes it challenging to find an appraiser that has the knowledge of not only the area but the unique set up of our property. Abraham was key in making sure we had a qualified appraiser. In addition, since we are business owners, the documents needed are beyond the more standard items such as paycheck stubs.
