This was my first time ever boarding my dogs, and I only scheduled this stay because I had an unexpected family death. Naturally, I was already stressed, and this experience made things worse. When I dropped my dogs off, the front desk employee was working alone. While I understand being busy, the entire check-in process was very disorganized and frustrating. After taking my dogs to the back, she spent time inventorying my items, answering calls, and helping other customers--without once acknowledging me or letting me know I was free to go. I stood there for about 15-20 minutes with no communication, only to eventually be told she didn't need anything else from me. During my dogs' two-night stay, I received zero updates--no messages, photos, or report cards, despite those being features listed in their system. As a first-time boarding experience, this was especially concerning and left me wondering how my dogs were doing the entire time. Pickup was just as disappointing. While bringing my dogs out, one of them got her foot stuck in the doorway and was yelping in pain, and the employee continued pulling her on the leash instead of stopping to help. I was handed my dogs quickly with no update on how they did during their stay. The dogs also smelled so bad when we got them, I had to immediately bathe them when I got home. Overall, the lack of communication, attentiveness, and basic care was very upsetting--especially given the circumstances that led me to need their services in the first place. I had another boarding appointment already scheduled for April which I canceled and will not be returning or recommending this facility.

But from the moment I left, Lily made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. Lily followed Butters' routine PERFECTLY, was incredibly sweet and professional, and kept me updated throughout the entire stay with thoughtful texts, videos, and pictures. It meant so much knowing Butters was not only being well taken care of, but genuinely loved and treated like her own. I am officially a huge fan of Pick of the Litter and would recommend Lily to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their furry loved one. Susie is very loving and responsible. My dogs adore her! We typically book her for live-in stays, but on occasion we also use her for drop in care. I always receive updates with photos and my dogs always appear relaxed and happy. It makes such a difference having the same person care for my pets, and gives me so much peace of mind. Lisa, the owner, is in tune with all her caregivers. Recently, our flight kept getting delayed and we ended up having to ask Susie to stay longer than anticipated. Once we landed, I let Susie know she could leave as we would be home soon. Before we got home I received an email from Lisa asking me to let her know we made it home so as our dogs were not left without care in the event something delayed us further. We had used other sitters before we found Pick of the Litter, and nothing compares to the care and communication we receive from them. I highly recommend!

Even after explaining in detail what we wanted, the cut never came out right. When we found Scottsdale Pet Salon, we explained what we wanted and to our surprise our dog was groomed and cut EXACTLY how we wanted it!! About five months ago she has a gash on her toe. I called and they said they hadn't noticed anything. Seemed odd, but saw no reason not to believe them. The last time, March 19, she had a deep gash on her eye. It was super red and she couldn't open her it for about 5 days. When I got home I called them. Hugo asked around while I was on the line and no one knew anything. He didn't ask to see photos or apologize. We were horrified. I hate leaving poor reviews, but you need to know your pet may not be safe:-( Btw, sometimes her trims were tidy and other times very choppy. ugh!!

She ended up spending two days at daycare here and I could not have been happier with the experience! Registration was super easy. I brought in her vaccination records, they got everything taken care of, and took her right back. They even fed her while she was there. The best review honestly came from Moose herself. When I picked her up after the first day, she was happy, relaxed, and clearly had a great time. When we came back the second morning, as soon as she realized where we were, her tail started going like crazy and she walked right up to the staff. That immediately made me feel good about leaving her again. Both days she came back to us happy and completely relaxed. Even my son looked at her and said, "she must've had a really good time, she's smiling" Finding a place you feel comfortable leaving your dog when you're traveling can be stressful, and they made it incredibly easy. Moose clearly loved it there, and that's about the best recommendation I can give. We would absolutely use them again if we're back in the area!

We took him a few times for daycare before we left and he loved it. They were very attentive and he got to play with other dogs and still got his scratches and pets. He wasn't all that excited to leave. We will continue to bring him for daycare so he can see his new doggie and human friends. Enzo boarding experience was just as great as daycare. They continually send pictures and let us know how he was doing but we could see from his face he was having a grand time. We are so relieved to have a place to leave our precious little boy knowing that he is safe, happy and very well taken care of!!! Thank you House of Mutts!!!
