Visited the Humane Society this past weekend for more information about fostering dogs. We talked…read moreto one of the ladies who didn't know very much about the foster system, but was able to find someone who did and we talked with another volunteer at the Humane Society and she was able to walk us through and also get us a pamphlet about foster applications and how to get started. After we were done talking, we ended up going to visit both the dogs, cat and rabbit section. It always breaks my heart to see all these babies. When I'm there, I always try to show as much love as I can. If you're sensitive to loud noise and barking, I would be aware that the dogs do get riled up if one of the volunteers walks in with a leash lol. The only thing I didn't like is that when we visited the guinea pigs there were kids in the, guinea pigs section unsupervised and they were picking them up left and right to the point where the guinea pigs were squealing freaking out. I did tell one of the volunteers but not sure if they were able to help the situation.

They are much more affordable than most veterinarians and especially are veterinarian. The one downside is that unless you look way ahead of time, slots available are several months out. Not expecting them to be out as far as they were , we ran into that being one of our issues because we were trying to get our girls in right around the six month mark, so they did not begin going into heat yet. Unfortunately, for Sugar she started beforehand. In the morning, Ben dropped them off for their procedures and given the time that they needed to stay with the humane society, they would be ready for pickup around the time, I was leaving work for the day which was right down the road from their location. I waited a few moments for them to go and collect the girls and when they came out they were in good spirits and extremely happy to see me which was a great sign. My little nuggets looked so sad but cute with their cones on. Once home we rested that they were eating properly. We received a phone call from the humane society the next day to Check-in on the girls and their processed just to make sure everything was good. We appreciated that. For our little girls being their smaller size , we did end up ordering little neck donuts from Amazon to exchange out with the plastic cones given to them at the humans society, just because the cones weighed them down so much, they looked very uncomfortable resting in them and that just broke our hearts. They healed wonderfully without any problems or any extra visits needed.

Not once did she mention how much it would cost. She asked for my credit card which I assumed she would use to give to the Insurance company. The next day I saw a charge on my credit card account and asked her about it and she said nothing. Not only did she not get me any insurance, I feel she is very deceptive in her practice. She said doctors and lawyers do this also, which was her excuse. I've never had a lawyer or doctor not tell me what they were charging before using their service. STAY away from this person
