The man in the truck said he wasn't there to say hello he was coming to remove my termite bait traps. I was shocked. He said they had been trying to call me for my renewal but I was avoiding them so they were there to remove my traps. Wow. They have reached me every quarter for a few years and charged my credit card every time without problem. But for some reason they couldn't reach me for termite. Not true. The owner Steve was so rude. Now I have purchased my own traps so as they pick up their trap I will drop the same plastic trap back in its place. In other words if this happens to you, go online and buy your own very inexpensive traps. Pretty crazy.

Thank God. Within the first 5 minutes of site visit their inspector pointed out that the insect we were dealing with was the poultry mite from European starling birds nesting in our walls. These lovely creatures had drilled holes above our porch columns and shacked up with us. That would have been fine, I guess, except for the fact that THEY WERE INFESTED WITH POULTRY MITES. For the love of all things holy. It was quite the marathon - head to toe (literally the instructions were to sleep with this cream on from neck to bottom of your soles) lice treatment. Twice! And twice because until LaJaunie came - we had NO IDEA where these poppy seed - sized buggers were originating from. Enter LaJaunie's... 1) Insect (excuse me, arachnid) identified. 2) treatment applied. I had one issue that needed sorting and the owner personally called me and made sure his best team visited my home. 3) follow up from the best of the best wildlife squad JOBIE and SHANE. They shut the poultry mite operation down. Permanently. Then they offered to help me unload my vehicle of groceries and help set up my 8 year old daughters birthday party. What? That exists? In my opinion, do NOT automatically believe the company's response without reviewing the actual facts and documentation yourself.** My experience with LaJaunie's Pest Control was extremely disappointing and financially stressful. I was sold a very expensive rodent package, including approximately **$18,000 in exclusion work** that was supposed to help prevent rats from entering the home, in addition to attic cleaning and ongoing pest services. Despite all of this work and money spent, I STILL had rodent activity afterward and was repeatedly told to "just wait, it takes a while." **PLEASE READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY.** From my understanding, the cancellation terms heavily favored the company and included major financial penalties tied to the remaining balance of the agreement. The billing issues became even more concerning: * After already making **11 out of 12 payments**, I was told I could cancel and would not owe additional payments. * I later continued receiving charge notifications and attempted charges to my card. * I spoke with **Shelly twice** and was specifically told there would NOT be an additional **$49 charge** because they were "just picking up bait boxes." * Another charge was still processed anyway. * When I called back, management stated I still needed to pay. I was also told the company "records everything," yet the information later being described as part of my alleged agreement was NOT what I stated during the conversations. I requested copies of the recordings they referenced and am still waiting. Fortunately, I also keep my own records of conversations. When I raised concerns, I was told the employee involved "no longer works for the company." Again: PLEASE document everything in writing, save screenshots, review every clause carefully, and get multiple opinions before committing to any large pest-control contract.

I…read morelearned the hard way that even if you don't have any pets it is easy for fleas to latch onto your clothing while you're out and about. I woke up one day thinking I had mosquito bites but as time progressed I realized this was a bigger issue. I was freaking out to be honest because I was scared it was the "B' word-- bed bugs. After checking my bed and everything else I was able to cross that option off the list. I was dumbfounded and wasn't sure what else it could be. Once I gave a call to DA Exterminating, I received a call within an hour from their technician Rodney. Rodney was so informative and honestly had my well being top of mind. He mentioned to me there was an assessment fee (that is applied to their use of services) to go in-person and see what was happening; however, if I had any pictures he would be able to decipher what my issue was. I mentioned how I discovered a few pesky bugs that would jump and he asked if I had bites solely on my ankles and legs. Once I confirmed he was able to confirm it was indeed fleas. Pricing was more than fair as they only charged $125 for my one bedroom shotgun-esque place. We confirmed a date/time via text and he arrived within two days. Rodney sent over a few details on what needed to be done ahead of time including removing all stuff off the floor, clearing floors of the closets, and vacuuming everything down. The day of, Rodney arrived with all the equipment and immediately went to work. I waited outside since it was some intense emissions. He was wearing a gas mask and all. Was instructed to not come inside or else I'd slip on my ass. I chuckled at the various stories he told me, but he said to give it about 3-4 hours before I went back in. Happy to report that I have not had any issues since that day! They even offered a two week grace period to come back and re-do it if after 14 days there were still bites. BEST $125 I HAVE EVER SPENT. ***Don't waste money trying to take care of a bed bug/flea issue yourself. I wasted $50 and it was a waste of money and time from products I got at Home Depot. The commercial grade stuff is the only thing that'll work.***
