Terry got it fixed for less than that and my brakes feel better than they did when I first got my car!

So I agreed to do both. during work it was discovered that the radiator also leaked so I agreed to replacing that as well. When I met with John to pick the car up he simply handed me my keys and said he wasn't going to charge me for any of the work performed due to the shops inability to correct a new starting issue with the vehicle he suggested that it runs fine and starts perfect most the time, so maybe I just drive it. Suggested I could take it to another shop and diagnose what's wrong with it but really it wasn't a big runability issue. So now I'm thinking what the heck did you do to my car, so I took it to GM in Auburn and paid for diagnosis. John expects that I should be happy with the fact I didn't have to pay for any of the work that he performed on the vehicle. In his mind evidently future repairs which are substantial plus the car I had to rent because this was my daily is all on me, not his problem. Now my car sits in the GM backlot waiting for a camshaft that is backordered for a month or two. What I would explain as a massive lack of integrity from the shop, because this is not how you treat customers. Aaron 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.8L with 86 thousand miles. What they found was an absolute shocker.. John's shop had broken the exhaust camshaft and then repaired it with what looks to be 5-minute epoxy.. 5 MINUTE EPOXY!

A week and a half ago, I pulled up to a parking space and saw steam coming out from under the hood…read moreof my car. Checking under the hood, I located the source, a water leak coming from a heater hose. The next morning I went looking for a place to get it fixed. My regular auto place was booked solid with Memorial Day weekend approaching. With several business trips coming up, it was important to get this fixed right away. I went to Yelp and found a couple of places to check out. The first stop, I received a quote and said they would need the car for three days. My next stop was Dave's in Auburn. Brandon took a look and said he could get it done today. His quote was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the earlier quote I had received elsewhere. As I was trying to load Uber on my phone, he asked if I needed a loaner car. Yet another problem solved! The repair was done well within the time frame they gave me, and I had my car back that same afternoon. Charges matched the initial quote. Brandon followed up with a text three days later, asking if everything was working right. I couldn't be more satisfied. I will be back when the need arises.

I brought my car in because of a brake squeal and asked the shop to inspect the braking system and…read morelet me know what needed to be done. After about 4 hours, I received a call with a quote of nearly $1,600 to replace all four rotors and brake pads. I later called another shop and got an estimate for the exact same work at $1,200, which confirmed that their quote was on the very high side. I declined the work and went to pick up my car. I was told they did a minor cleaning of the brakes to reduce the noise, and I was charged a little over $100. Unfortunately, the brakes squeaked exactly the same as when I brought it in. I didn't make a big deal about that since the underlying issue wasn't addressed -- but when I got home, I noticed my hubcaps hadn't even been removed. That really made me question whether any work was actually performed at all. Between the high pricing, the ineffective "fix," and the suspicion that my car may have just sat in the shop while I still paid over $100, I will not be returning here. I would recommend that others get a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs at this shop.

Not only did they get it into the shop quickly, they gave us very valuable information on what we would need to do to it in the near future and what was already in good condition. The value of having the experts do a full vehicle inspection is worth every penny. To feel confident that we are making the right buying decision is vital to us, as my son worked hard for 2+ years saving for his 'dream car'. The teams collective tenure in the automotive industry is impressive and we left feeling like we were making a good investment on the car, thanks to all the extremely knowledgeable and friendly mechanics. Thank you Rob & A Street Automotive team! We will be back and love knowing that we have the BEST mechanics in the area!!

Six weeks later, my husband was driving the car and the oil light came on, so he drove it to the dealership and found out that there was no oil in the car. It cost us an additional $350 to fix the damage from A Street not actually changing our oil. Any company that would charge for a service that wasn't actually performed, as well as allow their customer to drive an unsafe car, is one to avoid at all costs. I've heard of companies like this, but this was my first time being scammed by one. I'll stick with the dealership from now one.
