TSA Checkpoint at Terminal 3 is one of the quickest TSA Pre that I've gone through. When I fly out to JFK, NYC through JetBlue, the terminal for Departure and Arrival is Terminal 3. Terminal 1 at the Las Vegas Airport is the larger terminal, but Terminal 3 is great too! The TSA Checkpoint for TSA pre is great! It's right before the normal TSA Checkpoint. It's usually smooth and seamless process to go through the TSA Pre Check. The TSA Pre at Terminal 3 is little smaller than Terminal 1, but there is normally a short line! I don't wait longer than 10 to 15 minutes to go through TSA Pre. Leaving for flights from Vegas to JFK, I only arrive an hour before my flight. This allows me enough time to go through TSA Pre and to pick up something to eat prior to boarding for the flight!

LAS or Harry Reid Internations Airport... Work or pleasure...a day or a week so many pass through LAS is quite insane it doesn't matter what time of day there is always a steady flow of travelers passing though here at the TSA Checkpoint. The staff here are professional but nice, I just try to be mindful and remember the rules sometimes we do forget that even our Cookie Butter and toothpaste does matter in size and over 3oz is too big and must be checked in though when I'm returning home I do tend to have too many items that didn't fit and I don't realize like my bath salts lol! It scanned an alert as a "natural" item...sigh! It all went well and a thorough check and I was on my way, my feet still hurts and should've made time for self care so that I would have a speedy trip through and get on my way. Thank you!

I experienced something very interesting on my last trip from Las Vegas to Honolulu . Departing on Hawaiian Airlines terminal 3 Harry Reid airport Once checked at Hawaiian Airlines counter the TSA check point is nearby. This time I was informed to go downstairs to another TSA checkpoint it's an innovation type of scanner machine . It's supposedly faster for the customer and better for the TSA agent . This is a new format because I was in Vegas in October and I didn't experience going downstairs. This new machine is automated to pass the empty buss tubs into the machine and it will come out for the next customer to use . All the x-ray machine before hands up now the new machine hands down . The lines are still long so this new machine doesn't help that much . I understand safety first

Thank for the fantastic service that you do. It is a really difficult trip for me and a wonderful tsa women checked my bag. She was kind, solumn, and could tell I knew she had to check my fathers remains that i had separated from my backpack. I told her the certificate was in the bag she said that wasn't necessary. Nor was it necessary for her to open the box. She used some Indicator chemicals on the outside of the box to confirm what it was and said im sorry for your loss.

It's pretty cool because at the rideshare platform area they always have about two or three Vegas showgirl posted up and they do giveaways like little bags and trinkets that say welcome to Las Vegas. That's the cool part. But the hump just to get upstairs to the rideshare area is a little frustrating because it's not very traveler friendly if you have bags. This airport has a lot of slot machines and it can get a little old every time you have to walk through it because it's smoky. On the way back to leave this airport that's the biggest challenge. You are often dropped off at a rideshare taxi or shuttle area that is across the street from the entrance of the actual airport. So you have to lug all of your bags across two crosswalks just to get into the terminal. Then you have to go through a very unorganized TSA. The TSA pre-check was a brutal experience for me this time and I only had a one carry-on bag and a checked bag. The terminal is very dated and they do have an area where they try to preserve some nostalgia. I did appreciate and liked that they honored the aviators in one of the long cement hallways. Once you get into the terminal, there are only two places that you can eat if you're flying out on Southwest. The sandwich deli is what I chose. There's also a store and the store was really not the best experience as none of the cashiers were available to check people out. I went over to the self checkout, and the 1 cashier had to step away from her area to sign me in to do self checkout. It would be nice if they could update their airport because it can be a little bit depressing leaving. Doesn't really make you wanna come back after flying out in this terminal. If you're looking for a place just to come in and then leave with nothing special at the airport. This is the place for you as a traveler. If you need to be in an airport, where you are there for a few hours or have a layover, this may not be the place for you as a traveler.

No easing in--just BAM... welcome to 24/7 gambling, baby. This airport runs like a well-oiled roulette wheel. Efficient. Efficient. Efficient. Even though we landed in B gates, we headed straight to the lounge at the D gates after deplaning! Sadly, it is not free for VentureOne cardholders (VentureX only it seems). But, I might just open another line of credit to get complimentary lounge access because this was niceeeee. Here's what you get: 1. Complimentary grab and go snacks, including coffee tea, oat milk latte (on draft), water, salads, wraps, and snacks (with bags provided for takeaway), like banana chips, cookies, blueberry yogurt pretzels, dried fruit. It's a decent assortment and even if you only had enough time to come in and grab a quick snack, it would be good. 2. Complimentary bites, including charcuterie, pancetta mac and cheese, ratatouille short rib, tinga tacos, mushroom cassoulet, hummus, and an assortment of sweets (including donuts, cookies, and lemon poppyseed cake). 3. Complimentary alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, excluding top shelf liquor. I loved the inclusion of local Vegas businesses on the bar menu. Felt very Yelp-y and made this feel a bit cozier than I expected for a corporate credit card lounge. 4. Coffee and tea bar, including aforementioned oat milk on draft and a variety of teas. 5. An excellent place to rest and relax or focus and get work done before your flight. There's an abundance of outlets, plenty of seating space, and even a couple work stations and a quiet room you can reserve. On top of allll of this, the staff were friendly and sweet. This experience has been so wonderful I felt compelled to pen this review from the lounge as I sit here drinking my (complimentary) limoncello spritz and as I was writing it a staff member came around to bring us free champagne and chocolate to enjoy as the sun set?! The bartender was amazing and took the time to explain the cocktails and free pours thoroughly. He also made me a water with add-in relax, which was a nice touch, and even gave me a bag to haul all my to-go items. My experience on Southwest in Las Vegas was a bit disappointing. I was a little disappointed that I literally had the resort weight my luggage, prior to departure, and it was under the limit for 50 pounds. However, when I arrived at the airport, the Southwest Sky Cap at curbside suddenly told me that I was 5 pounds over the weight limit. I found this to be untrue and absolutely a SCAM. I continued to tip the sky cap, on Venmo, because that's the right thing to do, and I had to pay $100 for the luggage 5lb overage. Again, I believe this was a scam as the resort literally weighed my luggage prior to me departing. At the time that it was weighed, prior to my departure, it weighed 48 pounds so I highly doubt that suddenly between the resort and getting to the airport in the rideshare, that my luggage gained 7 pounds. Otherwise, Southwest is a convenient and great option to fly in and out of Las Vegas from San Diego into San Diego. In consideration of my experience with the Southwest sky cap, scamming me out of luggage weight fees, I went ahead and gave a total Southwest 2 stars.

The food? Not the best. Very limited protein options. Chips, spinach artichoke dip, chicken dumpling soup (with hardly any chicken), white rice, BBQ chicken, and turkey sliders. He isn't sure why the agent didn't allow it, but once it's touched the bin we can not retrieve it. There is nothing that can be done. I don't understand how people in the service of customer service can not simply recognize that sometime mistakes happen because of untrained personnel. When this happens, as a manager, simply call the employee over and inform them of the accident or misconduct and offer a simply apology.
