Attendant leaning on garbage can and chucklehead maintenance man seated on bench, while 60 of us wait outside...
Chris C.

This facility and service was horrible. I highly recommend you avoid this facility. I flew into Vegas and needed to transfer onto a bus heading to Utah and Denver. There were several delays, and so I found myself stuck at this facility from midnight until 3:30 AM. The guy in charge of the ticket booth gave about 60 of us, waiting for the delayed bus incorrect information on several occasions. At first saying the bus was coming, and then telling us that it wouldn't be there until the next day, 24 hours later. I actually called Greyhound customer service, and their information contradicted what the attendant told us at this transfer terminal. At one point, he told us to go to a specific terminal and wait for the bus, so there we are, about 60 of us standing outside in the middle of the night waiting. Then 30 minutes later, he informs us to go back inside again. Then 40 minutes later, he repeats these instructions and has us wait outdoors, followed by another order to go back inside. What made the experience even worse was the fact that the entire facility was infiltrated with thousands of cockroaches, both inside and outside, so you dare not leave your luggage or personal belongings on the floor, and you don't want to nod off and pick up a hitchhiker. Also there were a few "challenged" homeless individuals here, who were obviously on drugs. They were screaming, fighting, throwing things and made the whole experience miserable. A facilities employee showed up shortly after midnight, and did nothing except to tell jokes and chat with the attendant the whole time. He wasn't helpful... He didn't clean, spray the roaches or even empty a single trash can. Useless... Finally, a substitute bus arrived and got us out of there. The bus service is a sore subject for another review, but I won't ever make the mistake of coming back to this transfer terminal ever again. I recommend that you avoid this facility at all cost...

This is just a bus stop, is all. It's not anything special, but it serves a purpose. Very easy to get on many bus lines from this. Location is a bit a ways from the airport. This isn't too far though. It doesn't look that old. It's pretty clean and that includes the bathrooms, which is shocking. The inside of the terminal has some cool artwork on a few of the walls. Even so, it's just a place to get on a bus. There's a number of lines that stop here. Many will take you all over the city. The 117 and SDX make stops. It has several things that are pretty useful. A RTC ticket machine is outside the lobby. There's also large maps of the bus system at each bay, so you can easily find the correct route for you.

South Strip Transfer Terminal (SSTT) is located just right outside of the McCarran International Airport (not within walking distance) and you can get to this bus terminal by taking either route 109 (the bus stop at Terminal 1 is located on Level Zero - $2 per ride) OR free shuttle to the McCarran Rent-A-Car Center & physically walk to the terminal (about three blocks away from the rental center & 15-minute walk). There are 18 different bays and below is a list of bay designations (effective Feb 2016): Bay #1 ~ #3: SDX, Deuce AM Rt, 109 (unloading only) Bay #4: 217 WB Bay #5: 212 WB Bay #6: 212 EB Bay #7, #8, #10, #11, #12: Charters Bay #9: Megabus and Amtrak Bay #13: 104 Bay #14: SDX, Deuce AM Rt Bay #15: 117 Bay #16: 217 EB Bay #17: 109 overflow; Paratransit & Silver Rider Bay #18: 109 If it starts to rain, then you really don't have a place to hide (no shelter) other than the SSTT building. Clean restroom & free Wi-Fi. A fairly average terminal, but SSTT is way better than the Greyhound bus terminal in downtown Las Vegas. P.S. - You can take the Strip & Downtown Express Bus (SDX) and the bus connects directly to the Strip & downtown Las Vegas (e.g. Mandalay Bay, MGM, Paris, Wynn, Fremont Street Experience, LV Premium Outlets, etc). Fare is $6 for unlimited rides in a 2-hour period or $8 for unlimited rides in a 24-hour period.

This Greyhound bus station is new it used to be in downtown but moved close to the Airport Car Rental close to the South Premium Outlet. I never saw the old bus station but a lot of people is saying this is way better and cleaner. We went to this station coz will be traveling from Vegas to California via bus ... The location is pretty clean I hope it's stay that way!

First this place was hard to find.. not even the taxi driver knew of it.. but once I called information we weren't that far away.. It's actually right on the outskirts of the airport ( not in the airport) Outside across the street and gage from the airport. We wanted to arrive early to obtain good seats.... we should have listened when they said don't arrive to 30-45 minutes early.. THERE IS NOTHING HERE.. it is strictly a bus depot, with the characters you except to see, the homeless, the trying to get home, the runaways - speaking of ... there was entire wall just dedicated to run a away children.. well that just ruined my weekend. There are only a few tables inside and vending machines...I was thrilled with the bathroom either only because you could enter the woman's' and men's' very easily , there was no door.. it was a 2 way entry so anyone could grab you as you walked in. It's not that bad if you are only waiting for about 30 minutes, but for the 3 hours early we did it was a horrible... I will return again since this is where you catch the MegaBus back to Los Angeles, just only 15 minutes before departure.

Fill out this form a few days ahead of time so they don't tow your car.

Neat, clean, conveniently located. Seems more efficient than the downtown terminal and lite years ahead of Greyhound's.

If I could, I wouldn't give a star at all! Most employees here only care about themselves and not the customers. I am so upset.

I had an excellent time here with my family. The pool was definitely the highlight of the resort…read more It was huge, clean, and having the restaurant and bar right next to it made it easy to spend the day relaxing. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen and balcony, which was perfect for our family. I also loved that there was a complimentary washer and dryer on every floor. Everything was clean and well kept. What really stood out was the service. They texted me every day to see if I needed anything, and I was genuinely impressed by the level of customer service. I would definitely come back.

Our stay was from a Tuesday 3/3/26, through Friday, upon check-in, we asked for an early check-in…read moreat 3:18p, since we arrived early, check-in at 4p, and Devon states they only had Building 4 available, we requested a 1st floor, but she said they only had 2nd or 4th floor available, so we opted for the 2nd floor. When we settled in building 4, we noticed the 1st floor looked blocked off, sign just stated Lounge coming soon, and one of the elevators was cardboard taped up along the walls, but still functional, so no biggie. Got into our room and noticed the toilet handle on one of the bathroom toilets was loose and the sink handle (hot side) was a little off and the handle actually came off, so I screwed it back on, and the bathtub as big as it is, and which is why we liked this resort, appeared stained or not cleaned well enough, like room service please put some scrub worked into your cleaning, but it was stained. We had to search for some kitchen utensils due to cupboards set up very different, but ok just weird, but still workable. Wednesday morning around 8:30a, started hearing construction, hammering and some drilling, thought well it's ok because we had to get up anyways and gone til the afternoon. Thursday the elevator was blocked off and we had to learned where the stairs were and actually use them, again no biggie. The elevators were working again by the afternoon. We needed extra towels, so wanted to exchange used to get some new, but can hear my sister in law being drilled over the phone, just to get the towels, come on room service, we are "exchanging" the towels not asking for "more additional" towels, what's the big deal? Friday at check out, I knew this would be a hefty review, as we were checking out there were a couple of guys checking in and I kindly asked them in front of the counter ladies if they given Building 4, and they said YES! I told them the building was being renovated and if they weren't informed, they may want a different building, they said, nope not informed, and the lady asked them if they wanted a different building and they said heck yeah, and they thanked me, I told them yeah I wish someone would have told us! It really would have been cool if Devon would have told us our building she assigned to us was being renovated. She obviously didn't look out for us! There was 4 of us and lots of luggage and baggage and no one wanted to repack up to move to another building. When you know you'll be staying resort style we prepare and bring items like food for the fridge and you unpack like you're home, now you're settled and ready to adventure, right! Not here! Guests do a walk around your room here before you get settled in and unpack. Check everything, the bathroom toilet handle, the sink and tub/shower handles and tub itself, turn on the water to kitchen and bathrooms to make sure you have hot and cold and good pressure, we pay for this stay! Even during the week, you'd think we would have better rates, but it's still pretty costly, so make sure you're receiving your value! You may need to request a different room or building if there are any signs up that some new is coming because that could mean construction/renovation, be aware there may be noise, and if you want to sleep in, you may not get that luxury in that building or on that floor. So I ask you "Hilton" Cancun "Resort" why would you book your tourist guest into a building that's under construction/being renovated?! Don't you want us to come back? Don't you want our business?! Why would you chance/risk a poor review by putting us in a renovated building?!

Amtrak - Amtrak email

TLDR: Amtrak customer service sucks. I booked coach tickets…read morefor Kingman, AZ to Los Angeles, CA and a roomette from Los Angeles to Seattle, WA. Expense for two people was $816 (flying from Seattle to Arizona one way is $307). About a week after I booked my LA-Seattle leg (a few days after booking Kingman-LA) I received notification via text that my LA-Seattle train had been cancelled. Called customer service to confirm and a gentleman (who didn't really sound well informed) told me that the train was still going but my reservation had been inexplicably cancelled. I called again later that day hoping for more clarity and the second customer service agent told me the train was cancelled due to roadwork and my reservation was not.I don't normally complain about these things but I would also note that the first two people I spoke with were rather challenging to understand as they had heavy accents (not American). Two days later I received an email from Amtrak letting me know that the service would be disrupted but they said "Don't worry, we've already set up alternate transportation for some or all of your route, and there's nothing you need to do." They did not detail what the alternate transportation was nor how that would impact my travel logistics. I called Amtrak yet again, hoping someone could explain the details of the "alternate transportation" and above all, explain the discrepancies in communication. The third person I spoke to initially repeated that the train was cancelled and when I told her about the email I received, she confirmed that the service was up to Emeryville, CA and I would be taking a bus up there from LA. She was not able to confirm how long the bus ride would be except (most of the way). By the way there was no refund so I would be paying $700 (which was the price of this leg of the journey) for a bus ride across 2.5 states. I asked if there was a supervisor available to speak because by this point I had heard three different things from three different people and the vaguest text and email ever. She pointed me to customer service. The 4th customer service agent I spoke to eventually confirmed everything the third customer service agent had said and also couldn't tell me how my arrival time would be impacted by the bus trip. She had to look on google maps to get an idea of the distances and times and said "well that's a long detour." I asked to speak to a supervisor about 5 times and told her it was the worst experience I'd ever had and they'd lost a customer and earned a poor review and she was not able to connect me to anyone else. Cherry on top was the call ending with an opportunity to complete a survey and then the survey was out of order. I ended up cancelling. Of the four, only the first person I spoke with offered me any kind of future discount for my trouble and it was $50. Ridiculous at every level.

They stopped responding to my emails and finally responded over yelp two months later. We were going to move forward with booking again per their message instructing to do so, and now they say they can't book out over three months in advance. No issue with the policy, but the bad communication and ghosting is a huge red flag. Edit: Booking request was for December, April 1 was the quote as mentioned, April 23rd I confirmed I'd like to move forward with booking they asked for final details to secure booking that day. They then ghosted when I provided what they requested (Follow up emails send 4/24, 4/26, 4/29). I tried contacting them through Yelp June 6th as they never responded. They responded and again asked for final details to secure booking and then informed me of their three month policy after all of this. If their company policy is 3 months, no problem, but this was not communicated at all for two months and they consider ghosting as communication of their policies.
