Sorry for the long review. I began following Legacy Champion Goldens about a year ago on social media. Initially, I was impressed by the beauty of their dogs and puppies. When it was time for us to consider adding a puppy to our home, I began by researching breeders. A puppy is a lifelong commitment and I believe that not only should you research the characteristics of the breed you are considering, but also the breeder. My husband and I have always had dogs. We have loved and cared for each and every one of them. However, some of our dogs have had issues that would not have happened had the breeder been as thorough and educated as Legacy Champion Goldens. In this day and age, it is so easy to research both breeds and breeders. When I filled out the application, I was called within 24 hours. I asked a lot of questions and LCG answered each and every one of them and even gave me information I did not know to ask. Only AFTER I talked to them did I send my deposit. This deposit represented a commitment on my part to buy a puppy from LCG. They are definitely NOT the only breeder to require a non-refundable deposit. As a matter of fact, I have never seen a reputable breeder who does not have this policy. I put my deposit down in January and all I had to do was wait for my litter to be born. There was communication during this time. There is a website with updates and photos as well. Any time I asked a question, it was answered in a reasonable amount of time. As the time neared for my puppy to fly to me from Washington, COVID 19 had reared its ugly head and everything was being shut down. I want to stress the extra lengths that Legacy Champion Goldens went through to make sure my puppy was able to fly-even having to reschedule last minute flight cancelations. When my puppy arrived, he was gorgeous and confident. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, he had to go into the Vet's office alone and the Vet commented on how great he was and joked about not giving him back. This does not happen because someone decides to get a male and female dog and have puppies for money. This happens due to careful research and breeding by a family who values this breed. I could not be happier with my puppy. He is an excellent representation of a Golden Retriever. The Hammon Family takes great care with their puppies while in their care and extend that to the families that have their puppies. They also share their knowledge of raising these dogs to all of us lucky enough to have one. I will absolutely get anther puppy from LCG in the future. Puppies are a serious investment in money, time, and love. I can say that Legacy Champion Golden's investment into this breed is second to none. Do your research. We have owned Golden Retrievers since 1985. The first two (from the same breeder who retired in 2001) enjoyed long and healthy lives. Our third Golden (from a different breeder who appeared to be responsible) was a gorgeous puppy who began to experience severe health problems at age two. We spent the next six years learning very difficult lessons about breeding practices and veterinarians. Consequently, when it came time to search for Golden number four, we had a very specific requirement: a breeder whose number one purpose was to improve the health of the breed. Several months of searching and a chance encounter with a couple carrying a beautiful 4-month-old puppy led us to Megan Hammon at Legacy Champion Goldens. The Legacy website provides a good amount of background and information. Our initial phone conversations with Megan and her in-depth knowledge and years of experience with the breed were beyond impressive. It is very rare to find a breeder whose clients come back for generations of healthy puppies! Megan's husband drove from Chelan to the Edmonds ferry to deliver our puppy in May of 2018. Golden number four is a gorgeous, happy, healthy girl with a wonderful personality. She exudes joy and love wherever she goes and enhances the lives of everyone she meets. We could not be more grateful to the Hammons and have recommended them time and again to many who have asked after meeting our girl. There should be an option for more than five stars! read more

A complete fraud. They steal other reputable breeders photos and publicly post them on their website which has been changed to TSILLIAN GOLDENS, claiming the stolen photographs represent their dogs. The public submits an application and a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit thinking they are purchasing a puppy that represents the photos - which is a lie. The photographs posted depict gorgeous champion dogs owned by others, not the pet quality dogs living in a building next to a mobile home on an unfenced property. Additionally, they publicly post that their dogs have American Kennel Club titles. The facts are the dogs they own and fraudlenlty represent to the public DO NOT have AKC titles. These people are commiting theft of photographs which are owned by other photographers, refuse to acknowledge the photographs are not theirs and continue to post them under different names - First, Lake Chabot Goldens, Second, Legacy Champion Goldens, and now TSILLIAN GOLDENS. These people are committing fraud advertising lies on their website, duping the public into believing they are getting a "show" dog with AKC titles for monetary gain. The public paying good hard earned money under the belief they're getting a puppy that resembles the ones advertised. LIE! FRAUD IS A SERIOUS CRIME. Legacy Champion Goldens has provided us with our beautiful puppy Honey Bunches of Oats, Oats for short. She is an absolute beauty. I worked with several breeders before finding Oatsand the choice to work with her was the right one. She is very experienced and very helpful in the whole process of buying a puppy. We bought Oats in December of 2018, she just so happened to be a Christmas Puppy. We planned on breeding her from the beginning. Oats just went into her second heat and we decided to work with LCG again to get a stud and breed Oats. It was generally a very easy process and they gave us all the information, plus tons of help with questions for getting ready for our litter. A bad review was left about withholding a deposit. If you put a deposit for a puppy, that deposit is non-refundable. That's what it is. While the entry fee for Pure Bred English Creams is high, they are worth it. LCG provides them. The only downside is they can occasionally be slow to get back to you. But they have a huge online presence and dogs take a lot of physical attention, so I am sure they are very busy working hard in the background. I highly recommend LCG. read more

LCG was highly recommended to us by a coworker who got a puppy in 2018 and we've been following them on Instagram and Facebook ever since. We did thorough research before making a decision and their social media presence and transparency solidified our choice. I initially DM'd them on Instagram and had a response within 30 minutes! They were quick to respond to all our questions and made it crystal clear what the expectations were for the application and deposit, which are also stated clearly on their website. The entire process was so smooth and seamless, even with the current COVID situation! The day before the scheduled puppy pickup date they sent an email with each family's designated time slot. We brought our little guy home on 4/12/20 and couldn't be happier with our decision! The Hammon family is so professional, kind, and dedicated to the health and well-being of their dogs. My boyfriend and i were looking for a golden and he found LCG. Upon research and cross verification of pedigree he called and was greeted warmly. When he asked questions about the process, genetic testing that was available and other concerns we had; it became clear that this was the right breeder for us. We put down our deposit and the waiting game began. A couple of months later we get notification of the day that our pup would be coming home and pick up location and times. Throughout this process photos and videos were posted of pups and there well being on their business Facebook page and we selected our pup. We could not have been happier with the Hammonsand our puppy. He's a blessing, happy healthy and best temperament for our family. We even get to keep in touch with his littermates through their friends and family page! We have an eleven month old female from LCG and I have never been happier about how beautiful and well behaved this golden is. But don't take my word for it, ask the two professional trainers who work with police and search-and-rescue dogs their opinion! The first trainer took one look at her, did some focus and attention tests and said, wow, this is an extremely high quality bred animal. I asked him to go into detail and he said she's exactly what makes a professional dog. Her focus and attention are honed so well that she clearly comes from excellent genetics. She's also extremely gentle with smaller animals and children, has excellent recall, and zero aggression. She's patient, careful, playful, total sweetheart, gets comments from everyone everywhere we go and by far the best snuggler ever. Highly recommend LCG. I have never worked with such amazing breeders! The care, love, and attention that goes into their dogs is beyond anyone's expectations. I honestly have NO idea why someone would leave a negative review for them on something that is so clearly stated in ALL of their communications. As a business owner myself, we have policies for a reason....to keep our businesses honest, thriving and fair. We brought our baby home on April 12th, they even drove to meet us half way! They gave us a beautiful little package with her that included a homemade blanket, starter food and plenty of amazing information. We couldn't be happier. At 10 weeks old, the vet said she was one of the healthiest puppies he's seen. She already sits on command, shakes on command and is potty trained! When we decided to find another golden for our family, we took our time to contact various breeders. When we found Legacy Champion Goldens (LGC), we knew right away that they were the breeder for us. They answered all of our questions and gave us updates on the litter. We wanted to have first pick of the litter and we did! We adopted Henry and to be perfectly honest, he's been the best dog we've ever had. The entire experience was second to none; great communication, fair price, family-oriented, and the most beautiful and healthy puppies ever. We got our puppy from Legacy Champion Goldens almost 1 year ago, and it has been the best decision! Megan and her family were kind, professional, and are clearly passionate about their dogs. The dogs are raised in such a great environment, and are taught amazing skills from day 1, making them gentle around kids, comfortable outdoors, confident, and sweet. Before picking our puppy up, we exchanged many texts, phone calls, etc., and felt prepared and were excited to see pictures/videos in advance. Our dog is happy, healthy, loving, and the perfect addition to our family. From my first inquiry of (mr.hulk, hunters litter) to present (9 months) I have been blown away with LCG. The owner is dedicated and LOVES these dogs. Truly shows in the conversations you have with her, the care packages upon receipt, the paperwork (health, shots, etc)...most importantly...the dog itself. I've owned labs and retrievers my whole life and I've never had a dog so easy to train, loving, and eager to please. He goes everywhere with me and even sleeps in my daughters room as if he's protecting them. Never leaves their sides. We purchased a puppy from Legacy Champion Goldens (LCG) four years ago. We chose LCG because we wanted a breeder who raises puppies in a family environment AND who health tests their breeding dogs. Our purchase of one of their male puppies was the best decision we made. Our golden is a beautiful, very smart, kind and healthy dog. We specifically selected this breeder because we wanted a dog to train as a therapy dog. We have trained him so he can go visit schools, hospitals, and long term care facilities. I don't have enough good things to say about this breeding program. We now have several dogs in the family and they have all been amazing. Well tempered, healthy and beautiful. The LCG family has also been amazing. Not only will you gain an amazing furry family member, you will also get all of us humans. This includes Megan who runs LCG. She's there to help your puppy and grown dog be successful. She is not your typical money hungry breeder. In fact, quite the opposite. Her and her family interact with the puppies so they are socialized, and they suggest healthly nutrition plans. So much research and energy goes into each one of these little bundles. We had the pleasure of getting our sweet Bruce from Legacy. My husband and I have had goldens for almost 40 years so when we suddenly lost our golden last year we were devastated . LCG are the most wonderful people and breeders! From the moment you bring home your puppy home, you can see the love and effort they have poured into these puppies from birth to 8 weeks. Such well socialized, kind, silly, smart puppies! I speak from experience....because what was meant to be one quickly turned into three goldens from them! Our puppy, now dog, is as healthy as they come and he has a calm, sweet disposition. The way they handled the entire process, from deposit to delivery, was thoughtful and professional. We have two Goldens. Both are from Legacy. Roxy (dark red) is about 1.5 old and Lucy is about 6 months. These pups are the absolute best, most loving dogs we have ever had. We had the best experience with Legacy on both occasions. We could tell these pups were loved prior to receiving them. Roxy and Lucy are very well mannered, lovable and the sweetest dogs. Every time we take them out we get compliments on their mannerism. People cannot believe they are both puppies. I can't wait to add another LCG to our family!
