I'm a huge fan of The Office and the Spinners were advertising an Office Trivia Night featuring an appearance by Leslie David Baker who played Stanley on the show. There was also a BBQ buffet included in the price. The BBQ was ok, not bad for a baseball game, but nothing to write home about. Burgers, dogs (with no grill marks), ribs, pulled pork and pulled chicken, corn on the cob, beans, but no corn bread. The trivia was fun too, some nice and easy questions and some real difficult ones. We didn't finish in the top 3, but we still had a good time. The promotions department really dropped the ball on the appearance by Stanley. He was there, but not for the trivia. He was up on the concourse and you needed a special ticket to see him, the $40 Office Trivia ticket wasn't good enough. No one from the trivia company or the Spinners mentioned this. By the time we realized this the Spinners were sold out (those were the words the employee who turned us away from the line used). It seems the Spinners are desperate for people to come that they have no problem misleading people into paying $40 for a single a baseball game. There was no value there on this particular night. Save yourself and check out the Portland Sea Dogs or Pawtucket Red Sox for the same or lower cost and a higher level of baseball.

I have to give the Chelmsford Forum five stars because I spent many days there during hockey season…read morein high school. Since we didn't get prime ice time, we had practices at 5:30am before school. Luckily, we had practice everyday because the forum never forgot to open up early,. and was always on time.. even at 5am. Some mornings I would lay in bed at 430am.. and pray to god that somebody forgot to open the rink. Never happened. It's a typical ice rink, nothing fancy. The Umass Lowell Riverhawks used to play there.. but they got the new fancy Tsongas Arena in Lowell. They have snack bar with the normal fried rink food and only one section of the bleachers have some sort of heating system type thing. They have free skate and open hockey.. and the guys that sharpen skates in the pro shop are the best. I've probably thrown up here more than any other public place.. so needless to say it holds a special place in my heart.

Any place we've skated in the past has crates for the younger kids, the forum does not allow crates during public skate? The was automatically a downfall with having a toddler but we decided to try it out anyways since we were already there. My son fell while skating and it really scared him, considering he's not even 2 and he's used to using crates to hold on to, so my husband picked him up trying to get him off the ice and out of the way of all the hockey players racing around and slamming into boards. The second my sons feet left the ice a worker was right at my husband telling him to put him down, it was against rink rules to carry children while on the ice(as my son is screaming and crying). Needless to say, my child's safety is more important than your rinks rules. We got a refund and will not be returning.

My most recent play was Misery and all I can say is WOW! they did an amazing job working with a small set to create a story that delivered a fantastic performance. It is a small theater but there are no bad seat in the house. They also have special offers for tickets that can make the experience more affordable. The variety of plays include many multicultural plays or including multicultural cast members. I applaud their commitment to diversity. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Parking can be street parking or you can park at the church lot next door during performance nights.

This is a nice, moderately-sized campus that is pleasant to explore if you are in Lowell. It has…read moreenough of an open feel to seem like you're taking a leisurely stroll while milling about. The architecture is nice enough given that it is a campus that is not as old as many, especially amongst those Universities in New England. The Saab Emerging Technologies and Innovation Building is a highlight, which is visible to your left as you cross the river into campus. Cumnock Hall with its columned front is another. Though I did not have time to take advantage of it, there is an Art Gallery on campus for those with such proclivities. The campus is not worth going out of your way to see, but if you happen to be in Lowell anyway...why not? There is a Starbucks on campus and a Dunkin across the street on the north end to reward you with a coffee and treat for your trouble.

It's a cheap school. You get what you paid for. The professors don't really know what they're doing…read morebecause good teachers apply to other schools that pay better, so umass lowell ends up only hiring desperate people who couldn't get a job anywhere else. The good news is that you don't have to work very hard here if you only care about the degree rather than the quality of education. The bad news is the professors are kind of jerks.

Came here during an Open Studio Saturday, see their website for dates. That is when you will see…read moremany of the studios open. First floor has an amazing collection of artist created items from their studios. Glass, paintings, textile, pottery, jewelry. Many one of a kind. This gift shop has regular open hours on weekends and weekdays. Check their hours. I loved peeking into the individual artists studios, most of the artists were present for this open studio event. Meeting and asking about pieces is special. I went back later in the week to purchase a small gift. Wonderful items and selection and prices were reasonable. Priced as low as $5.00 to 1000's. 5 floors with much to see, accessible by stairs and elevator.

Today ( this weekend) is a special one with a holiday art market. Lots to see. Most of the artists were in their studios with some giving demos of their work. We were a small group & spent several hours visiting . I was so inspired! We did a short coffee break at the lovely place across from The Loading Dock gallery. The coffee fresh & excellent. There was also a food truck outside that looked interesting . Im looking at returning on the next, " first Saturday" because there's just so much to see!
