My second time in the city of Lowell was to attend a concert at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. It isn't a huge space, so even in our seats in the 2nd to last row in the balcony wasn't all that far away from the stage in the rounded room. The sound was fine as well. Bathrooms were located in the basement and moved at a pretty decent clip pre-show. Parking is street parking or a paid lot parking a walk away. If you can help it, avoid driving past the auditorium as the policeman manning the crosswalk blocked us for several minutes while allowing pedestrians to cross and the opposite side of the road to drive along in turns. [Note to self: turns out this is review #700]

Last week I saw STOMP (for the 5th time- dork, I know) here and really enjoyed the experience. Having been to the show before and paid various other orices for tickets, I realized why the tickets were so cheap once we got here. While Lowell Memorial Auditorium is a good venue you can def tell that it is not in a major city or that it has seen a real face lift in quite a few years. Well maybe it has, but the overall state of this place left me confused. The lower level seating (orchestra) was loose. Basically it looked like they took up theater seating, in sets of four, and used old equipment. The seats are even labeled with mailing label stickers. So I just warn you that the seating situation is a bit odd for a theater, however that might make it's reconfigurable nature positive for something else. I'll be back for other shows since they do get a good variety here for a good price.

Good view of the stage. Concessions are just fair. Parts of pretzel was cold and pizza was meh. Most annoying is no WiFi and this is an all day event.

WWE NXT LIVE. Awesome show awesome crowd. Last row of balcony and excellent seats

Concession stand is horrible over priced, middle of winter and it didn't feel like there was any heat on in the place.

I sat stage right, at table 311 and had a clear view even though it's labels as partial obstructed. The two columns on that side of the room are thin and aren't anything to worry about. I walked the whole venue and the only area where views are truly obstructed are inside the bar area, especially at the ends of the bar. The sound was great. The crowd was engaged but respectful. The BT ALC Big Band lit up the room with an incredible blend of big band jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop, and the special guest, Nephrok!, brought amazing energy and personality to the stage. Jimmy's offered two great options for the night: a first-floor dinner-and-a-show package, and a third-floor countdown experience with a midnight champagne toast. The atmosphere was festive without feeling crowded, the sound was crystal clear, and the whole evening felt really well organized. Nephrok and the BT ALC Big Band were both outstanding -- tight, lively, and a blast to watch. Altogether, it was one of those nights you don't forget. Jimmy's continues to be one of the best live music venues around.

The lobby is very very big and they have a bar, a snack stand, and sell pizzas from the restaurant across the street. There's even some tables to sit at to enjoy your concessions and lots of room for a merch table, etc. The bar had a good list of offerings - but I'm not sure I loved the magnet/washer beer draft system. I can't explain it - if you go you'll see. The auditorium itself was intimate, all the seats were good. It's a historic theater, so there is less room than you might be used to - but I didn't feel uncomfortable. I went for the two night magnetic fields event and I had such a great time. I have to give some extra praise. I thought I lose my wallet the first night, I called the box office and the person there very happily assured me they would check the lost and found and call me back. They did indeed call me back and were so kind. I really appreciated it. If you go, be prepared to park in the municipal garage and walk to the venue. Give yourself some extra time to park and walk.
